One of the most underrated songs ever created by Brandon Flowers
it's the 5th most viewed video on the channel
@@pocok5000That’s not the damning evidence you think it is. 😂
@@theoutrageparticle6469 are you suggesting that people watch this because of the dancing blonde chick?
I agree, it’s perfect
@@pocok5000 that's also a leap. i think he is suggesting that hes underrated entirely. I only just heard him tbh but that proves nothing.
Dancing to Brandon Flowers is the most fun thing in the world.

This is a Masterpiece!! Perfect 80's sound
in fact the whole album. it's one of his best records.
Yes exactly!!!
No..it's not
When I hear songs like this, I get a feeling there is hope for music
+Iker122 because it is old music. The chord progression is solsbury hill by peter gabriel.
Good ear.
check out a track by kt mulholland "hunted"
Gucci gang Gucci gang.

This album is gonna end up being one of the best this year in my opinion. Brandon Flowers is a genius.
IAmLeeJustice Sounds like it will be the best pop record since Daft Punk's RAM.
IAmLeeJustice Well he's a mormon, so 'genius' is a bit of an overstatement.
His music is catchy tho
ComedicPause I mean give the man credit. Regardless of his religious beliefs, he can still be musically a genius lol
ComedicPause I'm sure a Mormon can be genius as well. Religion and education honestly aren't tied together too much.
ComedicPause If you're into Neon Trees or Imagine Dragons, well they have Mormon members so.
Only thing i regret is not knowing about Brandon’s solo records as they came out. Nevertheless, this shit goes hard in 2021 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Hahahaha, his song are completely amazing bro, this songs will be amazing in 50 years too...
This really gets the message of the song across well... It's creepy when it needs to be, but with just the right amount of happiness when it needs it as well.
I have been listening to this song since the album came out and I have yet to get tired of it. Brandon's music solo and with the Killers is some of the best music made and most meaningful music.
This song has been in my Spotify top songs since 2016. Typically top 5 or in that range. Will always be my favorite song
Coming back 5 years later, I feel this was somehow released like last year but at the same time also feel like this was released 20 years ago. It feel nostalgic but new at the same time
Saw this in vh1 back in 2015 when it got released, i was 15 at that time travelling to another state, hard to believe 9 years just flew like that and im 24 now but this song still gives me the same feeling the teenage me felt as i went past the forest trees inside the night bus.
Six years later this song still gives me the feels.
I feel like a lot of people missed what was happening in this video and what the lyrics are about. Super creepy when you connect the 2.
Words can't describe how much I love this song..
1:20 the best dance move ever
Brandon has a way of sounding charming in creepy songs, like this one or Jenny Was a Friend of Mine where he tallks about homicide
Love the synth sound of this album so far, reminds me of the 80's which I love and appreciate!!
Sounds like the 80"s.
+Matt Maki its totally 80s man. thats not an insult. dont get life twisted man, its hard enough
Sounds like Peter Gabriel's Solsbury Hill
do you have any other songs that upon first hearing you are immediately transported back to the 80s? Im 16 right now and i've become really obsessed with the 80s. (The Smiths, The CUre and Don Henley etcetc) I really want to know more music of this stylee
the 80s were amazing I remember the 80s well (enough) as I am 37, only in the past 10 years i have been coming across gems from the 80s such as missing persons, eurythmics, til tuesday, the cars (heartbeat city is an amazing album) so well done to you for listening to decent stuff unlike most teens your age!
John Doe good boy
The subtlety of the horn ( trumpet 🎺) in this song is what takes it to a whole other level , brilliant…
I miss Brandon Flowers and The killers so muchhhhhhhhh. Can't wait for new album !
This soothes my 80's synth soul. I'm so excited for The Desired Effect!! I love all three singles! I'm going to melt when the full album is released. I really wish
Brandon would add a St. Louis date to his tour.
I have a man crush on this man and his talent.
Uhhh Yes!
TidusBlitz #nohomo but me too
You sir are not the only one who has a man crush
TidusBlitz Brandon Flowers is one of the leading causes of man crushes in the last few years. Count me in too, although I only admit it to a few people.
mtpersz Sometimes people wonder why there is "a guy" in the background on my phone, but they just don't understand.
The emotions this stirs up watching this all these years later, I cant even put it into words
I love the Killers and just figured out Brandon had two solo albums. I'm so happy for new music!!
This album is really shaping up to be even better than his last one. I'm excited, I don't know about you guys.
Love the vibe of this video, btw.
Me too! I got this really nice feeling when I saw this video ❤
Liam Scott I'm really reminded of Boogie Nights for some reason. :)
I'm loving the retro vibes, this album is shaping up to be something special!
5.3 million views it deserves 2 billion
Definitely, a "I'm a sicko stalking you outside your home in the dark" vibe for this video (and lyrics).
I absolutely love this song! It's my favorite on his new album right now. Brandon Flowers is such a talented guy. This album is going to be amazing!
This is every Killers/Brandon Flowers fan when they have the house to themselves. (Minus the handstand because I'm clumsy as hell)
Laura Neuzeth Yes!!
Yaaaaasss!!!
And the classic creepy peeping tom outside about to break in and kill you 3:22
So much excitement for this album. Pop-synth rock with a uppity feel with Brandon Flowers. What more could you possibly want?
These past years, Flowers is on full 80s revival mode. And it's glorious.
This is one of the best music videos I’ve ever seen. The editing and cinematography along with the song timing and subject matter alone is fantastic. Forgetting Penelope Mitchell’s great performance and looks, and forgetting Brandon Flowers music for that matter.
I'm honestly just glad this song exists.
There is SO much new music coming out this year, but I'm calling this album as my favorite of the year even if it's not out yet. Everything that's been released so far has been amazing and catchy and just really great. I've had the 3 songs on repeat!!
Why he doesn't get the recognition which he deserves as a solo artist?
because 1) he’s better with the killers 2) his last name is flowers 3) he’s a mormon 4) this type of music doesn’t appeal to the general public
@@lifeinthebarbie2147 Hahahahahahahahaha
@@lifeinthebarbie2147 this musicnis liked by more ppl than not. Its not nextgen music. Its rock with 80s sound. Its just the nature of biz. Actually you might live in a city with bad radio stations. Cause in los angeles and few others like vegas his solo music and killers music is on all the time... there is reason why in England he is massive
Compared to 2010 when he released Flamingo (which is still a fantastic album) he's getting a lot more recognized when it comes to solo albums. I feel really happy about it because that reminds me the feeling of listening to his solo albums back in 2012 and thinking the same thing.
@@GabrielStyffer you want to join me on my radio show discussing this
This song totally needs to be on "Halt and Catch Fire" .......
sounds like it was made for it !
Brandon doing the 80s before it became more mainstream in 2019 2020, still doing it better!
Best part: 2:07 "And I'm wonderin....Baaaaby"
this is somewhat like the beginning of a scary movie, when the guy is just stalking the babysitter and then BOOM! dead.
Nvm.... i just saw the ending....shes dead, i knew it.
The consistent quality of the music on this album is making me so excited!!!!
This song is a masterpiece and i'll love it forever
I have said this before ... Brandon has one of the greatest voices in music history. The feeling that he puts into every lyric is off the charts. The man is beyond amazing.
Brandon said he was basically continuing where the Police left off with their song Every Breath You Take. which is actually pretty dark lyrically even though people use it as a wedding song lol
Mollie R Do you have any sources? :)
radio.com/2015/03/31/brandon-flowers-lonely-town-every-breath-you-take/ Gotchu.
I mean if you're just dancing along and not listen to the lyrics is sounds all happy and such but you don't have to think too hard about the video. Someone is literally watching her from the outside xD and the lyric are pretty blatant if you listen. "Do you hear the knife when it cuts." Yeah man, that's how I get all the emo girls.
Kenshi thanks for getting the source for me 😀
No problem
Congratulations for 6 million views 🎉
This song is so dark.
80s!!!!
Brandon Flowers is so 80's and it's amazing.
This is literally me when I'm home alone and I decide to party hard
Elizabeth Catherine Bennet It's a weird phenomenon, because I do it too. And I imagine we're not the only ones. Just think, there are millions of kids in lonely towns all over the world dancing themselves silly on Saturday nights, all alone at home yet all right next to each other.
NESherv gives you some hope doesnt it
Elizabeth Catherine Bennet That's why I love my Walkman! ;)
Elizabeth Catherine Bennet Pretty sure that's literally not you... :P
Joshua K. Pearson yeah, pretty sure you don't have a good sense of humour :P
This song gives me the energy for the day. I always listen some of Brandon before going to work.
Do you know what it s about? A stalker who ends up murdering this girl in the clip lol.
major props to the back-up singer(s). she/they absolutely crushed it and elevate this song.
I really love that He is hard believer. It is rare these days, undortunately.
Me while self-isolating, waiting for the pandemic to pass
Me toooo! This is me all the time, pre-pandemic, during the pandemic and post-pandemic.
@@claudiaspataru4777 Same here. Always been my go-to song, pulling me through all the down moments.
saturdays ..
@@claudiaspataru4777
And I'm wondering, baby
Do you hear the phone when I call?
Still😑
the 80's are back :D
90 ...
They never left. ; - )
Gives me Retro's 80s vibes.........
I honestly cannot get enough of this sooooong!
Who is this girl?!?!? She is GORGEOUS!
SteelerFan716 I was just thinking the same thing. She's got such a screen presence too! This video is literally just her dancing, but she's so watchable.
SteelerFan716 She's in Vampire Diaries :)
Allysha Monico i knew she was familiar :):) thanks :D
SteelerFan716 THATS WHAT I SAID SHES BEYOND GORGEOUS
leonk6570 It's only the fact that her looks were a bonus to the video. Her movements/intentions made her looks unbareable. She's pretty yes, but her movements/intentions/dance/actions is what made her beautiful. #latinpower
wish i was this talented when it comes to making popcorn
Don't you agree..... this song is a bit underrated......
Yes, I agree, I think Brandon Flowers in general is underrated. Good classical rock is so rare these days.
Very very very underrated
A bit ?
Very underrated, a good song
Just a tad
Man, it makes me sad to see brandon flowers not even being able to get 1 million views. These songs are so much more deserving of the views on Killers' songs like "shot at the night", "another girl".
The Desired Effect is so so good, thank you Brandon for sharing this piece of good music.
Went from a "happy, upbeat music video" to "just kidding, you bout to get murdered" real quick.
Natasha haha that's terrible.
who dislikes this video lol its 80s esk the person who made it needs to be fired is all
Yeah it's bloody creepy!
I saw your comment before watching and legit thought someone was going to appear in the house with her ha
Holy crap I shouldn't have read this before finishing the video. 😑
Brandon flowers is a vocalist God. Never stopped supporting his music 🎶
I usually listen to this while remembering an ex lover, I hope he is doing ok.
This song makes that feeling something I can live my life with.
Definitely a _"I'm Right Behind You Charlene"_ vibe for this video
Paul Keefer Dude. Thinking the same thing. The hand explosion action.
Paul Keefer It was actually inspired from The Police's "Every Breath You Take"
ZazarStudios Lyrically, yes.
Paul Keefer a Live vibe too
BenHaub
Es 2022 y me sigue y seguirá gustando esta canción como la primera vez que la escuche❤️🥰
I feel the 80's sound right here. And I love it. Thanks for this piece of art, Brandon Flowers
Brando still making awesome music
This is the best single so far!! I can't even describe how much I love this song. The video is perfect for the song, it shows exactly how I feel when listening to it. Brandon, you made me feel like I was on the 80s!!!!
80's reincarnation. Thanks Brandon
It definitely feels like brandon flowers paid a lot of tribute to the 80's listening to these singles, I have a feeling that this will be his best solo album to date
Has an 80's vibe.
¿Que tiene este hombre y sus canciones que son tan geniales? No sé si a alguien más le pasa que cuando comienzan los primeros acordes le late el corazón más rápido y automáticamente los pies empiezan a moverse por si solos....
This song is awesome! The album feels really refreshing and fun because it feels so 80's
I may have listened to this 846 times this afternoon. Such a great song!
Reminds me of having to rewind a song to replay and worrying about battery power - but there's something in the waiting that makes you really appreciate the song.
Love the vocalist in the background
This song and album is still the magic of my life, even a year later!
how have i never heard this
Amazing song...!!!
this new album sounds really promising! I wasn't that fund of his first one, but the singles so far sound really good!
Shaula Nik I agree, outside of a couple great songs, Flamingo was meh. This new album sounds great so far.
ZazarStudios Flamingo meh? you really need to listen it again.....
Eduardo Coello I own the deluxe version of the album on CD. I've listened to it a lot. My opinion stands the same. In my opinion, it was a collection of uninspired songs thrown in with Flowers' odd fantasy of being a great country singer. Only the Young, Playing With Fire, Jacksonville, and Right Behind you were great tracks though. Crossfire was also decent, but the rest was meh to me.
Oh well, shit happens, the clock was tickin is excellent also, it took me a lot of time to like it jeje
Eduardo Coello I liked the lyrics in The Clock was Tickin. It was a fun little narrative, but it wasn't anything that made me want to return to the album.
Loving this album so far
I don't even know how I can word just how much I love Brandon Flowers
the protagonist in the video is a good demonstration of how i dance to every song Brandon has ever recorded.
i've been listening to your music since 2004 when i was 4 year old and how i was so excited for when your new albums come out i would go to the best buy to buy the cd to listen to when i get home and 11 years later you i'm still excited as ever waiting for your new album the songs already out are just as amazing as the old ones keep up the great work brandon my #1 idol!
I love those 80s sounds... And the video clip is amazing
Still dancing in 2019
I can't without this song. It's actually like my soul is making music. Yes
Brandon flowers can't make a bad song.... Some songs are just better than others. Loved flamingo, love all three off this album so far
I love Flamingo, first Brandon album, but I'm really excited for The desired effect, is going to be amazing!
This is how movies started in the 80s ❤
Funny I'm making flour tortillas and dinner
While I'm listening to this masterpiece
All by my self 😳😳😳 living alone
Not having the beauty that is Brandon in a video is criminal
THAT REMINDS ME SCREAM'S FIRST SCENE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Another great Brandon Flowers song and cracking video too.i love the 80s feel to it and also this album my favourite of the year :)
The 80s somehow has left a permanent influence in pop music. Brandon must of loved listening to Cory Heart and Quarterflash the night he wrote this song.
Do you hear the phone when I call?
Do you feel the thud when I fall?
Do you hear the crack when I break?
Did you lock the door when it shut?
Did you see the knife when it cut?
Do you keep your ear to the ground?
Think that's a great refrain, one of the best in a long time. Changes the tone of the song so quickly.
My favorite part of the song
For the kid in lonely town
the Friday the 13th reference and execution is simply genius
@@euboy6 If you look at the camerawork outside the house, it's deliberately meant to look like the point of view of a killer stalking his next prey.
Brandon just loved the 80's...can we show him love?..we all miss it
The most relatable music video ever.
