Early is definitely best, it gets crazy with cars later. The cafe wasn't open last year but there is one at the top of the first climb out of Port Pollencia. They occasionally close the road for various events. Watch out for goats. It's breathtakingly beautiful.
Yeah, I'm getting ready to come back on Rouvy for the next 6 months (oh, so loooong autumns and winters here, north of France). Did a session yesterday, made me remember how harder it is on the home trainer versus outdoors.

Accomplished mama Juliet 😁😄 👌 No mum guilt whatsoever, best mothers are those who are trying to be happy themselves so to spread that same happiness around. Incredibile graphics by the way on Rouvy! Kindest regard and best of luck on spanish soil 🇪🇸 🌞 =]
Just watched this after just getting back from Majorca for the second time… rode Cap Formentor twice this week 😂 one of my all time favourite rides, the views at or just after sunrise are spectacular!
I’d go either early morning or evening. Road from Formentor Beach to Lighthouse is closed to all traffic except the local shuttle bus and bikes between 10.00am - 10.30pm (June to September inclusive) so you’ve the road almost to yourself, however, the buses go 2 by 2 and pretty fast. The road from Puerto Pollensa to Formentor Beach already has traffic from first thing (I was on it today at 7am)
My question is: has Rouvy fixed the jumping of the grades? It was unridable when for example they jump from 0 to 2 % in an instant. Completely unrealistic.
Was in alcudia last August and i done my 1st road ride from there to the lighthouse and back. Went home on the friday and bought my 1st road bike on the Saturday.
Hi. For the tunnel I def recommend a small rear light. Taking off your shades is enough whilst inside to see. And I think they've installed some lights in the tunnel since the Rouvy video was made. But rear light is still a nice idea.
Hi, ride it in the morning. I loved the Cap de Formentor the most of my rides at Mallorca. ❤🔥If i ever get the chance to go back, i´l ride in the beginning and at the end of the vacation. Try to ride it when it´s not windy. Also ride Sa Calobra if u have the chance, it´s a tough one 💪 ❤
I wish the route would include the climb from Port Pollenca. Otherwise... I want it. 😄 Also I would suggest to ride there in the morning. In the evening it is full as heck and to be honest I would want to stay until sunset, when I am there in the evening. so better do it on the bike in the mornings.
Plenty of weight on those bars at the back - I'm impressed you even have them. Not me, if I'm lugging around stuff that heavy I want to see a result (10ft of Cornish hedgerow perhaps) 🙂
@@richardharris8538 I had to move 10ft of cornish hedgerow at my home, and I thought concrete blocks were heavy 🙂Granite is a serious weight, and lift a few of those and you know you have done some work.
Enjoyed the scenery on the bike and on the route lol. I would much prefer the images on Rouvy's than the cartoon like images on Zwift. Hate riding indoors either way.
went there earlier this year, I love Girona. The Malorca trip is a family holiday rather than a cycling trip but no doubt I'll head up Cap de Formentor
I'm not really interested in these virtual rides, but that route (in reality) is indeed very pretty. I'm amazed how the rider looks so much worse than the environment.
Yep that looks like Rouvy…no one else on the road 😂 Picture is great quality but rider looks very low tech and an odd angle to view from …a sort of low and behind view 🤷♂️
@@Ardie321I’ve been on Zwift for 5 years approximately. It’s been okay. I am not a racer, so I don’t require that aspect. So I am basically doing endurance rides. Zwift is a very social experience, and it’s crowded! Recently there has been a visual glitch acknowledged by Zwift between my intel chip and their game. So I went and took the 14 day free trial at Rouvy. Seven days in and I am not going back to Zwift. The reality rides are great, the ghost riders keep you concentrated and the world is your oyster, not just endless rides around Watopia.

I love Rouvy, great program. I did 74 miles on it today as it was raining, I do not like riding in cold rain.
Same here! Which route did you do?

ah thanks, that's good info about the road being closed
Been there last year for sunrise. It was absolutely incredible. Would recommend that too!

Thanks for the great tip 👍👍
Been on Rouvy for a couple years now, very happy.
awesome, see you on there sometime
Thanks Juliet! I ride with the Kinomap. This looks like the same but I hate "avatar" on screen. Everything else is in there on screen, nice :-)
You can change the view on Rouvy so it’s how you like it
big love for all the really strong moms and independet women thanks
Sup Juliet, does Rouvy still require a power meter? or can i now ride with only speed and cadence?
A group ride would be amazing. Ill save the code till you announce when the ride is!
Another ace video ❤

Thank you

It does, I just selected this one. You can do the whole thing.
Ok, will get up early!
Hi Juliet, I have tried to get the 30-days-free access to Rouvy, but unfortunately no code received. Only the standard 14-days period....
Good training. I like your paincave 😅
How much a month is that program and also it links with real routes on Strava??
I am doing this... The question is direct drive or tire contact to my smart trainer. I weigh 220. Any advice?
Direct drive is better but it depends on your budget
Nice Vid. Sad thing about indoor training: „Mom, your not wearing your helmet.“ :)
Great work!

I think you need to explain the connection between carrying a barbell and seeing 10 ft of Cornish hedgerow, for me at least.
@@richardharris8538 I had to move 10ft of cornish hedgerow at my home, and I thought concrete blocks were heavy 🙂Granite is a serious weight, and lift a few of those and you know you have done some work.

Is this a free version? I dont have a credit card or debit to pay. I dont know how to use all those paypal stuff
I just rode this route on Rouvy last night.
Ah nice, hope you enjoyed it
I hope you have a great ride when you do that ride, IRL. I look forward to seeing the video of that.
Has anyone used the link but didn't get a code?
me too
Does rouvy place in app advertising on top of the monthly fee, like sponsored events or banners on the sides of the ride?
There are banners on the side of the ‘Road,’ yes
can you do this with a peloton?
Do you still have a discount code for ROUVY subscriptions? I started the trial time and probably want to continue with a sub.
sure, it's rouvy.com/juliet
Tot's noob here... Can I record a cycle route (one that i've actually ridden) and re-ride it using a turbo trainer indoors?
Yes, but I’ve never done it
Nice, ok thanks@@JulietElliottsChannel
was erg mode on?
I have lights on day and night 😋
definitely not a bad idea
Fulgaz and Mywhoosh for me
Is there an option to just see the scenery (no fake cyclists) when using Rouvy?
Yes, you can switch them off
could not get the ROUVY 30day trial to work , it accepts the email , then nothing
Never got a code looks like they are just harvesting email addresses so they can spam you.
What was the issue with the Wattbike? I would join a Rouvy group ride
It kept increasing the resistance against my will! Good, I’ll organise one
I also drove this route
Go to Girona instead. Cap Formentor is a nice ride but the road can be crazy busy. Lunatic car drivers from the Uk think it’s a rally as well.
went there earlier this year, I love Girona. The Malorca trip is a family holiday rather than a cycling trip but no doubt I'll head up Cap de Formentor
@@JulietElliottsChannel go early to avoid the crowds!
So nice to see I'm not the only one who suffers.
Hi!!
I found you! very nice video !🙂🙂🙂🙂😉💪👍
ROUVY is the best. Zwift is looks cartoon movie😂🎉
Watching your vidoe and the first add break is for Zwift 😂😂😂😂
LOL
Earlier you can do this the better... gets mobbed with cars by mid-late morning
Thank you 🙏

No dla mnie bomba
Not in PBP?
Nope
Great job. Full gas climb
Rouvy does not support Tacx Neo 2T ! Arguably the best indoor trainer.
That’s not true, I have one of those myself and it works fine
Rouvy supports all the usual HT.
Where is the augmented reality?
Its Real images with virtual add, so augmented reality 😉
Yep that looks like Rouvy…no one else on the road 😂 Picture is great quality but rider looks very low tech and an odd angle to view from …a sort of low and behind view 🤷♂️
You can change your view 👍
Where is MeeYorka located?
Quelle horeur cette plateforme. Je vais moi aussi rester sur zwift
Think I'll stick to Zwift.
I’ve heard a lot of people say they prefer ZWIFT. Why do you like it better than Rouvy?
Swift is rubbish
I use Zwift , it’s childish and too social for me .. About to try some others
