If I was emotionally hurt by my break up and everyone in Stars Hollow were choosing sides and stuff. I would've yelled at Taylor saying if he was the one with broken heart he himself wouldn't want people picking sides because that so emotionally damaging
If it was me, I would angrily tell Taylor that it's none of his concern, and make him understand that even though it's a small town, he needs to respect privacy and know someone's private life is not something to be broadcasted let alone be a part of town gossip.
I hated these two together! And Lorelei is such a fool! Let me just cut all the people in my life just so we could be happy. Make that make sense! Idk why I let this show work me up lol

“Pink for you. Blue for Luke. It was Taylor’s idea so we could all know what side we are on without actually talking to each other.” LOL this show was crazy 😂😂😂
I find it interesting that Luke was pissed about Lorelai didn't tell him about the night with Christopher, which he had every right to be. However when Luke finds about April he hides that from Lorelai for two months and expects her to be ok with it. A little hypocritical don't ya think?
Yeah it's worse through. Lorelai didn't tell Luke about the completely innocent night with Chris, where she was just being a kind person, because Luke is emotionally abusive with anger issues & is very possessive/jealous, and she was frightened of his reaction like most victims of abuse in a controlling relationship. Luke hid his kid from her for absolutely no reason, other than wanting to avoid a relatively minor awkward conversation & also those same jealousy issues (that the kid might like Lorelai more than him). He's unbelievable & honestly such a piece of shit. And add sexism to the list of things I hate about him. Chris also sucks. Not a fan of Jason either. Honestly she has terrible taste in men, all either unreliable & selfish or emotionally abusive & controlling.
@@karar7796 I agre with except for Jason. I liked Jason. He was smart, motivated and had his own business. It was Loerlai that made fun of him for his interests. Plus he wanted to tell everyone they were dating because he knew it would be disastrous the longer they kept it a secret, and he was right! Then Loerlai proceeds to help to ruin Jason's career by keeping their relationship a secret! Then Lorelai gets all huffy when Jason said he was suing Loerlai's dad. What was he supposed to do? The more i watch this show I realize how immature and judgemental Loerlai is!
@@nina-raedelong158it literally just happened 12 hours before, he cared enough to not immediately break up with her which he was well within his right to do and he was trying so hard to give himself a chance to let it go but she just kept hounding him about it. For a guy who tells Jess that “when you date a girl like this you date her whole family” he really didn’t cope well with the family Yes he has a right to be mad but he’s known Lorelai for years, you’d think he’d know how her family is
It was that she hid her contact with Chris and then Chris said what he said. Luke was already insecure and Lorelai had told him before how she had wanted "The whole package" with Christopher. That coupled with her last minute breakup with Max Medina and I could see how he might start to believe that he was a place holder for her. He was just trying to protect his own heart by letting her go before she decided to leave him for Christopher. I think it's obvious he regrets his decision immediately after making it, but I think he feels it's too late to take it back. Even when she calls him to come over, he wants to take it back, but he lets Lorelai tell him that she won't bother him again. He let's her take the lead again. He just can't believe that Lorelai would truly choose him, so he's trying to let her go to save his heart.
Lorelai should of just let Luke have some time to process everything instead of forcing it. Who cares what the town was doing or thinking. Her only concern should of been letting Luke cool down. By forcing the issue he said what he said out of hurt and anger and sometimes you just gotta let the person have some space to come back down instead of saying something you’ll regret.
I think he would have gotten over it but when you’re angry or embarrassed and somebody keeps pushing you, you snap. Lorelai AND RORY needs to recognize it isn’t about them and stop talking whenever they want to talk
I love that it looks like Lorelai’s wearing a blue ribbon! I can’t describe it better, bur her cardigan with the blue stripes meeting in the middle always reminded me of a blue ribbon.
why would you have this discussion in front of taylor? she has no respect for boundaries. he said he needs time. respect it and leave the man alone. talk to him in private ffs.
I'm rewatching this and still getting mad even though I know they sort of end up together by the end of the show, and at least they get married in the revival.
I think you can see here though that when she says "I'm never seeing Chris again" it kind of pushes her further away because Luke knows what a BS thing it is to say, and I think he thinks Lorelai doesn't really get it, and if she doesn't get it, what does their future look like? Still though, I wish Luke had kept to his word more on being "all in" even though I do see his POV. I am not even entirely sure Luke intended to break up with Lorelai here though. He says "I'm thinking I can't be in this relationship" which is devastating for her to hear of course, but she treats it immediately like a break up, so it ends up being one.
Anyone ever think that if the town would've minded its own business and not jumped to conclusions about Luke and Lorelai not coming home together, Lorelai wouldn't have freaked out and have given Luke more time to think, possibly preventing this whole break up thing from happening?!
This is Lorelai’s fault, Luke said he needed time, she needed to RESPECT THAT, she pushed him, so he broke up with her and I honestly can’t say I blame him.
after re-watching this scene, i am not team Luke and Lorelai. both of them are stupid. lorelai needs emotional stability and consistency, luke is avoidant by nature (this scene, the entire april part). for them to work, a lot of communication is required and therapy and they can't do any of it
This literally foreshadows how they broke up. She wanted what she wanted now and couldn’t wait. Same with getting married. And in the end she ran to Christopher just like Luke said. She’s pretty selfish tbh.
I don't Like Lorelai (Lauren Graham), Luke ( Scott Cohen) and Rory Gilmore (Alexis Bledel) from the Gilmore Girls and especially her grandparents because they're annoying.
I’m surprised nobody’s beaten the living hell out of Taylor at this point

These two cannot communicate to save their lives.
A Year In the Life shows they actually don't talk at all.
Luke communicated, lorelai was too impatient

Lorelai should've given him space when he asked for it. He was just humiliated at her parents wedding and he needed time to get over that.
Luke could have given her a window for when he's ready to talk. It's not Lorelai's fault that everything happened at the wedding.

Lauren Graham did so good here.
She's afraid this "more time" may take 40 years?!!... Lorelai it ain't even forty hours.
Watch the talk with sookie before this it’s a reference to their talk
she's not wrong though, usually "more time" just leads to the person moving on, not actually processing the issue and being ready to work it out.
