Luke is so sweet just following with Lorelai's anxiety rantings, letting her vent while sharing in her cares and making real offers to help. True friend right there. She needed someone with a calm energy to be the buffer to her panic.

You’re right. Jess wasn’t rich enough to steal a yatch however he could make Rory cheat on Dean. Jess also wouldn’t have let Rory dropped out of Yale he would have forced her to go back. He also wouldn’t have broken her heart my gaslight her, ignore her and make her feel bad about herself constantly.
My point is that Jess is not a saint and he did his fair of damage to Rory. Let’s not forget how much he hurt her. Although he eventually became a better person he was a horrible boyfriend when they were dating.
@@noybmeadows3639 Jess didn't force Rory to do anything. She is the one that kissed him at the wedding. She is the one the one that treated Dean badly for someone she supposedly cared about. She was the one playing the field when she had a steady boyfriend. Jess never even wanted to fight with Dean. Compared to Rory and what she become Jess was/is a saint. Rory waiting around for Jess like a lost poppy when he was working doesn't make Jess a bad person when it lasted all of a weekend. It is not like he was out partying with other people wasting money which Rory did constantly with Logan. I suppose it is also Jess's fault that he tried to move on with the other girl when Rory decided to run away to D.C. and lie to Dean for a summer? She is the one that ends up cheating with a married Dean and eventually Logan. Lets face it Rory as a human was a failure because she never really faced any conflict like an adult. She had temper tantrums the entire series and absent a few times with Paris was a loner and an absent friend to her only other friend Lane. I think that is the whole point of the character. Rory who you think that has everything really has nothing at the end. Her mother would ran away from the life of everything ends up with everything she ever could have wanted because she fought for it and made it happen even with all the bumps in the road.
@@ragepie292 I don’t deny that Rory was in fact a terrible person in many situations. I just deny the fact that Jess was a good boyfriend. He was a horrible and terrible boyfriend. He later became a better person but while they were dating he wasn’t. My point is that Rory’s three relationship were all problematic. Jess certainly wasn’t any better than Logan when he was dating Rory. Frankly I don’t even think Rory deserves Jess after all the work and improvement he’s done. But Jess was angry and many time took his pain out on Rory. He knew Rory was dating Dean but inserted himself, then had the audacity to be angry when Dean did the same. He hurt Rory by leaving, not telling her and just leaving her in a lurch. Boyfriend Jess was just as horrible as Dean and Logan. Neither of Rory’s boyfriend were good when they were dating. They were all toxic.
Nah Rory is grown. Nobody has to let her do anything. She stole the yacht so face the consequences

im mre team dean as he was the pure and healthy one, and sure there were some struggles with this relationship between them, but dean was always the better person, and rory changed after season 3 for which i started to hate as she would not be the sme rory i loved at the beginning of the show
She fall out of love with him and the affair was about nostalgia and possession…. They didn’t work … it just took them to long to figure it out

It’s good to be an understanding and supportive parent. But Lorelei obsession with Rory and portraying her as the most perfect , amazing angel - was really annoying.
