So Lorelei took business classes and has been running this inn successfully for some years now. She was a smart kid in school and did well there too. So what always bugged me is showing her as someone clueless about financial stuff, making her not good with numbers, so Luke could sweep in and help her especially in the later seasons. We know she has great people and organization skills, but “running a business “ is so much more than that. They didn’t have to show her as an expert, but didn’t have to showcase her as clueless in that department either.
Yeah, she was the best in her class, that's what her father said. Yet, we don't see her reading one book or even talking about books she read with Rory. And she's supposed to be bad at math. So she was "best in her class " at what exactly? Biology?
Depends on how much Lorelai was involved in the actual numbers of the business. A business as large as the Independence Inn may have had an accountant to take care of all the numbers. I have a business degree and there was only one accounting class required to get it.
@@mrbear1302 Agreed. But having all this experience, and having always wanted to open her own business, showing her as someone who is completely clueless about numbers is what bugged me. It was so cliche, the women who wasn’t good with numbers and the man swooping in to help.
Lorelei was 100% right here. I could never do business with someone like Sookie. I would happily hire her as chef, but no way in hell I would do business with her
She wasn't right😂 you don't spend years creating a business plan with someone just to one day decide they're not good enough. Partnerships balance eachother out. Lorelai and Sookie balance eachother out. It was just a freak out...
Sookie has a habit of setting things on fire, which is a nightmare for insurance. Lorelei can't stick with a life decision for more than 5 minutes, and is very immature. They should not be partners, just friends.
The people saying they would never do business with sookie😂😂like y’all she literally was late for one meeting, we’ve all done that before,and Lorelai is pretty bad herself, she’s always leaving the inn for sookie and michele to take care of. She’s very bad with numbers and basically does anything but do the hard work herself.
Up until today I always wanted a friendship like Loralai and Sookie is so strong and beautiful, you can’t find a friendship like there’s on these days. So if I find one friend like Loralai or Sookie or both than I’ll consider that a thousand times better than winning a lottery. Friendship over money, I’m sold💎🥂✨
The woman who couldn't pay for her daughter's high school and asked her folks for a loan (S1E1). And end up paying that loan with a real estate investment check that her father made in her name the day she was born (S3E18, she didn't have to work at all to earn that money. They handled it just for being born, yet that didn't stop her from bragging about it, claiming it was proof of her hard work). Who didn't qualify to get a bank loan (S2E11, Lorelai didn't like it when she was the one under the microscope from an objective impartial point all of a sudden) in order to fix her house when the whole place had termite damage. Who ends up asking (or should I say: crying) Luke for money because she ran out of it in the middle of her new business renovations (S4E14). Is complaining about being careless and unreliable?... Hahahahaha🤣

Not too dumb to get pregnant .
Shes talks big and gives excuses for fear
Who said we have to her read a book can't see everything in the show. @@Ariana-wv4pf

Yay you guys fixed the misspelling of Sookie’s name!

Sookie was always so annoing and inconsiderate, Lorelai was 100% in the right and I hate that she was the one who apologized eventually.

let the madness begin
Wait until Lorelai needs to get her hair done...........
She's putting to much salt in the potatoes.
This fight is so stupid
