We did this in prison form years and worked well for all of us . I knew some brothers who got swole af and they were eating honey buns and cup cakes . Us white boys had to eat fish and peanuts but we still got swole . We did exactly like you are doing . Pull ups, push-ups, dips . And then the next day was body weight squats . We’d do ten at each fence post . Emded up doing 1,000 squats . We’d switch this out day after day for decades. For me it’s t was only 4 years but when I got out I still to this day do it in my backyard. It works !
@mohammadkhan2101 don't focus on the number 1000. When you have rest time and short reps such as 10. It's easier but the time is longer. Hour plus, more than likely.
Did this with a weighted vest and not gonna lie after a week I noticed myself getting bigger and stronger. I continue to do it to this day and it's a workout that never disappoints when I lack gym equipment.
I do hard manual labor every day building swingsets and my partner is 64 years old. He is in such incredible shape and he told me he used to do pull-ups and push-ups every day and run the circumstance of the Rose Bowl every morning. Turns out grandpa's do your push-ups, chins and your running is true
Big chap, well done for highlighting that you don’t need to be in a fancy pants gym. I’ve been an advocate of natural body weight exercises for the last 35 yrs, I just haven’t ever made videos about it, so well done you. Every park in the land is your Gym!
Simple, quick, and to the point! Need more people like you to help busy people get in shape when everyone is out here tryna complicate everything haha.
I love it, brother. Simple, yet effective, the whole goal of my daily life and discipline. Good stuff. I appreciated your quick and concise commentary on the video.
I stopped lifting weights in high school because the blood pump makes me feel like my miscles will explode. I began strict calisthenics and to this day i look muscular without ever having used free weights in more than a decade. Began mma which is the most important. Nothing will give you functional strength and make you lethal unarmed like mma will!
Super cool to learn others do this routine. I picked up on it 2 years ago because it felt the best and I could be consistent. It’s really transformed my body when I dialed in my rest and nutrition.
Love it, the best workouts are ones you can stick to and keeping them simple helps. I'm making rock into a 50kg suitcase carry. Improvising is all part of the fun.
Not sure how your video came up on my recommendations but Im glad it did. That is a very practical approach to keeping your muscles conditioned. Thank you 👍
I freaking love you man. I love this shit. You dont need to go commercial gym. home workout s enough, compound bodyweight workout is enough. Just to make sure eat good and be consistent. please dont stop I need to learn alot from you. Thank you
Top presentation. He demo'd in under a minute what most take 15 to show us. As someone who battles with autism, this cogent, clear demo is excellent. No 'crapola', no 'yackin', no vanity. Excellent. Though I would like to know what the apparatus is off to the left is? Keep up the great work. Thank you.
Great videos and routines man. All i do now is pushups dips squats an wheel and pullups along with jump rope. I also enjoy the fact these can be done almost anywhere and truthfully I no longer use a gym and prefer being outside. Thanks for the motivation.
That’s a good one. I’ve done 5 pull ups plus 4-5 metre rope climb x 5 rounds. That’s a good one two because you use a different grip and it works your back different. 👍
I am doiing the same for 3,5 years, I also combine crunches in it, and different kind of pushups, australian pullups, lounges, jumpsquats, planks witht increased reps. Good job!!
Excellence thru the basics..everybody looks to reinvent the wheel when the answer is staring them in the face...nice work brother..beautiful set-up there..keep grinding💯💪💪💯👍
Doing this at the gym tonight, looks simple and effective. been getting bored with lifting weights and want to focus more on calisthenics. But thanks man 👌🏽
Great! I've been doing almost exact routine now for few weeks. Definitely a difference when you do 10 reps for 10 series. I used to do 5 reps, twenty series, but this is another level. After 4-5 series you start to feel the pain, but it gets a little easier during last series. I've also noticed that muscles and nerves will adapt to the number of reps you train yourself to do. When I was doing 5 reps 20 series, I noticed that when I did 20th series, 5 reps were easy, but once you try to do 6th rep, your muscles will shut off. But the next series you do 5 reps with ease and 6 th is still shut-off. So I started to train 10 reps, and it's much better for endurance within series! Great outdoors gym that you have! Subscribed
My first workout program only included 1000+ push ups (lots of variations of course), crunches (something like 600), plank (10+ minutes of variations) and pull ups (140 in total)! It is one if the best workouts I have in my routine right now!
Top video pal this just got recommended to me. I'm not into all gym stuff love these type of workouts i prefer all the simple stuff. I just do press ups pull ups Squats. To keep ticking over. Your channel looks good just subbed respect from. 🏴👍
Pretty much my routine too. I go for strength instead of volume typically so I pick harder variations for 4-10 reps and only 3 sets of but otherwise same.
Simple and effective workout. I'd be using the kids' swing handles for triceps extensions (prone diagonal body position, hold the handles close to ear, then extend arms forwards, keeping body tension) ? I'd also probably do 20 pushups and 20 squats for every 10 pullups...
Good routine...never thought about it till now...ill definitely give that a try...funny thing was that the other day i was thinking of doing five dips and five pull ups until i couldnt finish the set...this routine looks a lot better though...thanks for sharing.
100% outdoors is the way to go. It’s my dream to have an outdoor gym. I build most of my own workouts and focus mostly on body weight training, so this is a nice simple one to add to my routine especially when I’m in a pinch and just get the sh*t done. Question though, how many sets do you like to do, or does depend on whether you decide to train endurance/strength? I would imagine that’s how I would do it but I’m curious what how many sets you do. Thank you Sir!
I also workout outside here in UK I live by a forest have a piece of rope I throw over branches do pull-ups and presssups ,also sometimes take a backpack out with me with a 15kg steel club and workout with that as well, when I lived in central London I always used the outside workout areas, gyms I find for me not good I love the fresh air
Usually end up pairing these with plyos as well as taking pillowcases/rice bags, tape and garbage bags and filling them with dirt/gravel/sand, love sandbags wayyyy too much haha but calisthenics give an excellent base and is great as active recovery/deload
I don’t do much isolation work, just don’t wanna work out all day. I do calisthenics with some major lifts like bench, deadlift, squats, shoulders, but this is my bread and butter. I’ll add weight to this routine.
I switched from powerlifting to simple calisthenics like this. It encourages me to manage my bodyweight and stay fit and healthy. I have a lot of respect for powerlifting, but it is easy to justify being fat and deconditioned
Thank you for sharing! I love this fitness philosophy. Do you think doing this everyday would be too much? Maybe do this daily, but 5 rounds instead of 10? Please let me know what you think
Nice form and r.o.m. on those pull ups! Thank you for your integrity and education. Question: Do you have a video or a mentioning somewhere regarding the huge incorrect trend of social media (namely instagram) pull ups form and r.o.m where they're doing them with chin under the bar and just the nose passing the bar for very high reps? I ask because from experience I know that doing those are way easier than getting the chin over the bar and since day 1 it's never been considered a complete pull up if the chin does not go over the bar. I think you will agree that it requires more force and energy to pull that extra 3.75 to 4 inches more to get the chin over and hence the reason why more people are being influenced by the wrong people to do them that way because it makes the exercise easier to perform and gives them that instant Ego boost to do more and to think that they can now do more and more pull ups than they think they really can. What do you have to say about that?
Thanks for the comment. I don’t have a video on that topic yet. It definitely takes more energy to go the extra mile, I try for chest to the bar on every rep, doesn’t always happen, but you always get your chin over for sure , end result makes you a lot more explosive. I’m not in the military but half-reps don’t count! 💪
Thanks. Whatever it takes for you to hit another 10 pull ups. Sometimes I rest 30 seconds and sometimes I rest 2 minutes depends on how I’m feeling that day. As long as you keep your heart rate up the whole time.

Yeah you gotta do what you can when they take all the weight out of the prisons. Good workout!
How long did it take you to get up to 1000 squats from the beginning and did you do 10 sets initially?
@mohammadkhan2101 don't focus on the number 1000.
When you have rest time and short reps such as 10. It's easier but the time is longer. Hour plus, more than likely.
@@Raw.milk1 add weight to it 1-2x a week and do low reps

This is awesome. People overcomplicate workouts but simple bodyweight compounds will get the job done
