Do you have any source for this...? There are some theories on the origin of the word but none mention Japan. According to wiki, it comes from Handfunktelefon, that is, wireless handheld phone and that's how it was marketed when it first came out. Other sources say it's because of an advertisement for walkie-talkie that were called "handie talkie".

as soon as he mentioned how japanese people love to stick random english sentences on things I started laughing so hard... as an english-speaker in japan you definitely see a lot of interesting things. the best incidents are where they want to be super motivational and inspiring but end up plastering 'lets be kind and smile into the day' on whatever they're putting it on. It makes me smile so hard japanese people are so adorable sometimes...

My ex-best friend and I used to write letters to each other during our Christmas and Summer exams (in my country in secondary school you do exams for all your subjects twice a year) and it was really lovely. Catcadette It's probably not the same where you live, but sometimes chinatown (If u have a chinatown, so like usually a city) has like little stationary stores. Because I've gotten a lot of the stuff he has before for pretty cheap.

Ahh conan, this video was so relaxing and beautiful and you are such an amazing human being. Also, you can buy a 6 pack of the erasable highlighters (with the entire *rainbow*) on amazon. Many reviews say they dry out fairly quickly, but I've had them for a year and they still work amazing!!
