i tend to always come back to this video of cone's. maybe because it seemed like such a simpler time, maybe because back then he was our little secret. i don't know. its been a little over 3 years since this video came out, i used to watch his videos religiously, excited for the next one to come out. i remember i used to (still do lol) cry to his songs because they made me feel safe and accepted. whenever i watch this video, i always feel a little nostalgic over the past. i am so proud of conan and where he is now. i am so happy that our family has grown so much. i'll always miss this conan, the one who always made videos, but i can't say that i am disappointed in where he is now. i am so excited to see where he goes next. i love you cone. i love our lil family.

Saw him live a couple days ago and he briefly commented on how shitty his childhood was. It's bittersweet to hear him praise his mother on this video, when he now sings about runaway fathers and mothers who drank. Time gives you so much perspective, I guess.
