I'm a first time viewer of your channel, but I've been a huge TLOU fan since the OG PS3 release. Factions was the game of my teenage years with my friends. I love the game modes and culture of it. It's always been a fun time, save for the occasional hacker or two. I need to say, of you specifically, you have said significantly more in this video than DomTheBomb has in his last few videos about the new Factions game. He mostly just freaks out and hyperventilates. You are actually giving constructive, calm news. Like you, I'm looking forward to when we will eventually get to experience Factions 2, whatever way that looks like.

Was not expecting to wait this long,with the amount of time its taking i hope theres some sense of free roam if not full free roam with a good amount of character customization.
I don't play factions that much anymore but when I do (it's always Interrogations) I'm constantly amazed as to how easy it is to out flank the enemies.
I still keep hope and watch the vids because I just recently after 7 years of not playing last of us multiplayer I’m loving the online and playing with some friends only downside is the hackers in ever 3-4 lobbies

I think Part 2 Remastered/ Directors Cut will release before season 2 of the show then potentially Factions online and they could update it with Part 3 content as well then Part 3 will come out either at the end of the generation/ start of the PS6. I'm so glad they are still working on Factions 2/ Factions Online. I would have liked ND to have officially updated us with an update but a positive update is at this stage is a good start in the right direction. Hopefully more updates about any game will keep coming now. Great video!
Another piece of good news is that our boy Paul Bishai got promoted to senior game designer( saw it on LinkedIn)👀. Perhaps the mp project is finally coming out of hibernation
Here is what I think factions 2 will play out, Naughty dog will have a small team working on the multiplayer game, while most of the team working on that single player game with 2025 or 2026 release date. I think Naughty dog is giving the Multiplayer team few years to reshape factions 2, they will come back to re-valuate factions after they've released the next single player game.
Think about how cool it would be to get a factions game where you could go prone and shoot people from under cars. It would add a whole new layer of strategy and fun

As you've said, there's some hope. But we still don't have any idea if and when Vinit and the leads on TLouU Online will be out of the doggy house/basement any time soon. By that I mean, the report from Jason saying that most of the workforce had been moved to the different other teams at ND while the top dogs figured out where to go. Considering the end of September layoffs and Sony joining the rest of the industry in cutting in employees where they can it would seems that it's still a long way until the previous workforce comes back in any capacity and/or they rehire for some of the positions that were left vacant. Anyhow, with the way things are right now, this is at a minimum a 2025 game. The long wait continues.
I don't understand why they brought in Bungie, Destiny or Destiny 2 have never been able to hold my attention like Every Naughty Dog Multiplayer game has. it doesn't need to be TLOU Destiny Naughty Dog already creates some of the best multiplayer games going. it doesn't need to be anything but Factions 2 thats all I want. Sony needs to stop trying to pound a squre peg into a round hole.

I’m hoping with the recent news, that fans have been saying for years, Bungie aren’t the gods of live service games/mmofps, ND will reconsider their previous decision to listening to Bungie telling naughty dog that factions didn’t have any longevity…
Such great news and yet people are still acting skeptical online. Like i know its been a bad couple of months for us, but this is literally the director saying hes working on the game. What more do people want😭(okay gameplay would be nice, fingers crossed for the game awards)
If after all this waiting the game turns out to be a battle royale.... I'll be severely disappointed. I know what I want doesn't necessarily mean i'll be disappointed if its something different.... but my dream design for this game is something like what The Day Before wants to be. Maybe have a hub settlement thats a shared space (think Destiny tower) where you can group up and grab quest. Then have an open world that is PvP enabled but you go out to find resources and complete quest with up to 4 friends. Have two separate modes for an evolved classic faction gameplay (think destiny crucible) then a co-op horde mode/gauntlet with rewards that also ties back to the main survival game
Considering they took advice from Bungie who can't even keep their own game together when it comes to player retention and need to fire people. Bungies opinion should be taken with a grain of salt which Sony should recognize now and let ND do what they do best. Make awesome games and not knock down the team's morale. Hard to produce a great product when someones bitching at you from higher up. I don't think there is anything wrong with scaling back if necessary though from maybe being too ambitious. Part1 Remaster should have come with lots more and Factions was one of these " features" that is missed. Now theres talk about a Part2 Remaster ( Hopefully with a PC port that runs half decent and some Abby tweaks :) but theres still no Factions 2... I guess we wait as always...

We been on an emotional rollercoaster of “Hope”! …they have tested our “Hope”…Our “Hope” has been lifted from this update!…if you haven’t figured where I’m going with this, the story message behind TLOU Part 3 is gonna be about “HOPE”!…Part 1, LOVE. Part 2, RAGE. Part 3, HOPE! Whatcha’ think??? That’s just my take, anyways. Thanks for this update and I’m glad to hear this news. I never lost my HOPE for Factions 2!
I don’t care about multiplayer games except co-op like Lego starwars skywalker saga with shared screens. I come from xbox and pc and multiplayer games are graphically inferior. I went to ps5 to get nicer single player games and the nvme ssd extension that allow better 2/4/8 Tb nvme ssd, and the more advanced controllers.
There’s a guy on factions right now, user name qssllllssp who uses a shoot through walls anywhere on the map cheat. He’s been around for a few weeks now. So a public service announcement, if anyone finds them self on a map with this piece of trash, quit the game immediately. Leave him playing with himself.
