Who cares what these “experts” think about how long a piece of machinery sits! I’m here for the entertainment not to be a critic! Keep doing you! There’s a reason you have 250k plus subs! Thank You Sir!
Imma have to agree with you Adam.
Yep, I am also here for that, and also all the machinery he gets up running and going again is like being a kid in a candystore and get to taste for free :)
There's an a-hole on every corner- if we stop to listen to them then shame on us. Believe in the majority not the 1 or 2 idiots.
@@RayofallTrades Yes they have absolutely no value, meaning or opinion if you ignore them.
And just for fun I tried to count the tree rings. I believe about 12. :-)
Having a roof over it makes a huge difference.
Sure does
It will run first try no problem its my old machine only noncr was the batery ever dead but that took 3 years of sitting and its had bigger trees grow threw it in the past
As a kid I had loads of fun playing with my miniature heavy duty earth movers. You, Matt, are living every little boy’s dream. Such fun watching you bring Frankenstein to life.
That's it, I'm moving. Around here that would be listed for sale as "like new condition" for 15% over the price of a new one...
That is because you are an Illinois hold out bud. Move to Missouri.
Moving is not an option.
sounds like your from tennesse
5/60 guarantee, 5 feet or 60 seconds what ever comes first.
And worth its weight in scrap metal.
the fact that the hydraulics are solid after sitting so long, and dont drift down with a car on the forks will definitely save you a lot of headache in the near future
We had an old dozer that someone scraped the "I" in Fiat off. She was known as Fat Allis.
We had one too. And yes, we called her Fat Alice.
That’s awesome
There's a street near me and the sign gets defaced, someone keeps painting over the C and the S in Canal Street
@@speedmachine69 Could you be the culprit?! Kind of Freudian that your initials are C & S! Just thinking out loud! 🤷♂️
Roy Tilton shhhhhhh, this could ruin my political career.....
As a person suffering from tinnitus, and from one mechanic to another: please, for the love of god, wear hearing protection when operating tools such as the impact driver! Especially in such confined places! Trust me, the few seconds saved not putting them on is not worth a lifetime of not being able to sleep or relax properly ever again!
But it's not manly. He doesnt even use gloves and just rubs his hands in every fluid. Early cancer.
@@alexstromberg7696 Motor oil is how real men moisturize.
@@XH1927 yeah cancer is nice
@@alexstromberg7696 Just because Commiefornia labels something as a carcinogen doesn't mean there's any real risk in its use or handling. For an impact driver? Impact drivers are like 1/4" and don't make a lot of noise. My 22gal air compressor is louder and I don't use ear protection. My 2 10" JL Audio subs aren't enough to need ear protection
The guy working with you knows how to help! Not waiting to be told/asked what to do!
Yup he’s a good hand for sure! We both got the fever for old iron!
Matt, your channel is where all of us "grown-up kids" go for our nostalgic "sandbox" fix! It must be great to be able to play with the big-boy toys! How can it be work when you're having so much fun? Great job... love the channel!
I must be a dude. You picked up that car and I said out loud to no one, “throw it!”. Love this channel!
I was also expecting for it to be tossed. Then I was thinking: That looks like a rust free car, what is it doing in the dumpster?
used to drive one of these in a local gravel quarry years ago...engine went and they stuck a straight 6 Iveco engine in it ...what a beast it was...
Did a motor swap as a teenager into one. Found a old Iveco truck in the weeds 10 miles from us! Worked great!
Iveco was fiats industrial line…..
Ran one at a concrete plant around 1975 when I wasn't driving a ready mix truck. They had a 645 Allis when I first started & traded for a 645B, it was sweet. Seems like they had either 3 or 4 yard bucket, good machines & easy to operate
Valvoline sign? I vote the complete trailers. They are sweet.
This guy i like the way you think I want those trailers lol
I´d pick the signs, old trailers like that has a often a bit to nack to rust completely out :)
You got that right beat me to it
Those sign always remind me of the Formula Offroad Valvoline truck, what an absolute beast!
Which trailers? Ins't that an auxiliary vehicle shed on wheels?
Who else would kill to be Matt's second pair of hands on a job like this? I'd love it...
Right there with you.
You, sir, are ludicrously optimistic. You have no natural sense of when to just walk away. And yet somehow it seems every time you walk away with the prize. Congratulations again, you deserve every victory you get. If anyone ever tells you how lucky you are punch them in the face. Every success you have is earned. We all applaud you.

Back in the day I worked for a construction company that used a lot of FiatAllis equipment. They were good loaders. Tuff, easy to handle, they always answered the call.
"You don't need a proper manifold." I thought I was watching Zip Ties and Bias Plys there for a second. Then I thought,"Nah, not enough swearing."😂😂
Un-greased there bud lol
That zip ties guy is a mouth breather...
I heard he does greasy stuff behind the truck stop
You DEFINATELY need that Valvoline sign it is probably worth a bit
I'd personally want it just because it's pretty cool, old and has history behind it. Though it is probably worth something to a collector for sure.
Heck with the sign I want the whole trailer with it
@@dposer10 good point! Me too now that I noticed it was a trailer. I wasn't paying attention and totally missed that.
@@dposer10 Now that is being downright greedy ..:-)
Two hundred dollar sign any day of the week.
Keep a good CO2 fire extinguisher handy to choke a diesel out. Just fog the intake long enough to shut it down.
I almost betcha Matt, of all your audience who appreciates your Content on RUclips are as excited as you are when you bring these old machines back to life. I kno I am. Always I get excited when they light off and you start working them. Awesome find buddy.
That goofy grin on your face when she fired was priceless. Good work gentlemen.
Start is on the shift lever. You pull it up toward the steering wheel when it's in neutral. I was telling you but you wouldn't listen!! LOL We had a 545B that came with an Aljon engine puller with fixed forks that you laid on the fenders and the engine puller went down through the hood, grabbed the engine and tore it out.
Many years ago I worked at a salvage yard that had a mobile car crusher. We also had one of those Fiat-Allis loaders set up like that. Pretty impressive machine in operation….
I was thinking the same. I have a 545B.
I have a 745B it's pure Allis Chalmers and it's a beast
Matt, you are amazing at breathing new life into old iron. A great skill. Wishing you and your family another great week. Peace,
"Where does he get all those wonderful toys?!?"
You may not be Batman but still darn entertaining. Nice pick!
Love it when I see a Diesel Creek episode up 💯👌
I like the Valvoline sign but it would be cool to have a Giant "Diesel Creek" Sign at your place!
Why not both:-)
I can hook you up with a young graphic designer who could get one made for you❗👍
It does my heart good to see all this old iron getting put back to use by you, Matt! Keep em coming!
My dad was a field repairmen for fiat allis. Good to see one again. I grew up around heavy equipment repair. I really enjoy watching your Chanel.
Hey Matt,
I was rooting for you, the whole way. She just fired up almost like she was just shut down yesterday! Bonus, with working brakes!
That little white s10 blazer was cleaner than 90% of the one on the road where I live lol
Thought it looked OK, like most modern cars in the scrappy just something minor and no one wants to fix it, in a way like those big old machines they are reserecting.
@@CrusaderSports250 If it was nearby I'd gladly take that S10 off his hands and get it running. At least if I could get decent parts. I resurrected a 92 Geo Storm (Isuzu Impulse) GSi earlier this year and after buying, installing, removing, returning, and reinstalling two full sets of fuel injectors plus a couple I've still got an injector that's failing again.
@@XH1927 about the same age as my discovery, fortunately not a lot of rust in it, but enough in all the usual places to be annoying and have to break out the welder, oh well the joys of owning older vehicles, diesel injection equipment is always fun to play with☺.
G'Day mate! I'm new to Diesel Creek. I'm an Aussie here in Perth Australia and a Diesel Fitter by trade. I cut my teeth on locomotives but never worked in the trade. I just wanted to say thank you. Your videos are an inspiration and naturally, I subscribed. How wonderful you are for giving these units a second life and for me, 40 years after I held a spanner, I pre-guess the issues as you solve them, so it is a lot of fun. Hi Matt just going through all the videos I missed since I started watching and can’t believe that you get those engines started after sitting for 10, 15, or 20 years I’m getting just as excited as you now.

Nice tractor trailer Barn Love that Ingenuity Matt 4:23 @Diesel Creek
The first start on that old loader put a smile on my face that's for sure! Keep it up, I'm enjoying every single video so far
Love your Zip Ties Peg references...true Canadian gem!!
The Valvoline Signs would be a great addition 👌
I think that sign is the whole trailer, isn’t it??
I love watching you bring these seemingly “dead” pieces of metal back to life
VW Special edition! =)This one is a beast!
The Volkswagen Jackalope. lol
Now with wireless battery technology!
Good thing he got to it before Mustie1
Marty T also loves to collect vintage and antique machinery to repair.
It would sure be nice to see you complete most of your current projects before acquiring anymore.
Don't just take the sign, take the whole Valvoline trailer, it's cool!
There is like 5 or 6 of them up there
Matt, I'm not mechanical in any sense but love seeing you restore these bemoths and giving them new life!
You guys make the most entertaining videos I’ve seen. I don’t own a tractor, never been around one closer than a football field, but I find myself looking for these videos all the time. I like the step by step taping. Gives you an idea of what you guys are doing. Great. Keep them coming.
This dude deserves way more subscribers. Also, cant wait to see that church remodeled and filled with tenants!
That’s what I said, sell some of the equipment and it pays for lumber then you have rental income

Wouldn't be a Diesel Creek revival without a bit of tree lopping , cheers Matt 🍻
It's great to see old, but useful machines brought back to life.
It always amazes me how resilient that old iron is! And yes, you definitely need that sign.
Sign? Take the whole trailer. For that matter both and the roof. Looks like you're going to need more covered parking.
When he was talking about the seat i thought he was going to say, Nothing a little duct tape can't fix.
Well, how else is he going to re-upholster it?
@@BrooksMoses Knowing Matt that will probably be his first choice to do it.

Ooh I used to drive my Dad's 955 when I was a kid. Unfortunately it was to small to reach the 10 wheeler dunmp truck so he sold it end my career as an operator and starting my career as the guy in the trench with a shovel
Great video, Matt. Great work to get her sorted so quickly. I look forward to seeing that 977 running now !!
Awesome, love seeing old diesels come to life after sitting idle for years, ❤️
You need that whole Valvoline trailer to use as the back wall of your shop...
That "adult" playground sure looks like fun!
You and Mustie have a thing for crusty, and the same laugh when you resurrect old stuff!
Great job man. I love these type of videos. It means so much more to bring one back into service then just laying the cash down for a new one. To many old pieces of equipment get scrapped because people are dumb.
The way you guys were yelling "contact", I started looking for the airplane, lol, congratulations on getting it running, great video Matt, thanks for sharing.
Reminded me of AvE….

Rock on Diesel Creek !
The FA machines were well known in the scrapyard industry as their articulation was better than the other brands and more manueverable.

Awesone job getting that "VW" loader up and running, and yes the sing will look great under the new lighting at your workshop.
glad you posted a link to part 1
I'm glad I finally found this video. I knew there was 1 missing. Job well done, Matt.
Yes, I hope you got the Valvoline sign. It'll look great in the new shop.
As soon as I saw the sign I thought “I’d have that”. Great video from, Brighton 🇬🇧
My thoughts on the sign as well.
"Let's see if we can't make this old girl squirt" classic
You definitely need the sign!!! I have to admit that I have a fondness for the old Clark, that was one of my first Diesel Creek videos that I watched, but the "Alice" deserves to be in the fleet too. Keep making these Matt, and I will keep watching!!
You are the greatest starter of old engines I've ever seen.
Haha much appreciated!
Def looking forward to seeing what you do with this one! Kinda sad to hear the Clarke is probably being sold but like you said it is a bigger machine than what you need currently. This one fits in more with the rest of the fleet size wise.
I smiled when another viewer used Fat Alice, I guess that nickname is more well known than I thought.
My dad was an engineer for them from 75-83. I just had to hear it start and watch it roll🥰
Now, Matt, you're having entirely too much fun with that old loader! Well done! Looking forward to seeing the other loader on the next video! This one's definitely a keeper!
Nice, still waiting on news about the dragline though.🙂
As I stated on the video of the dragline. It’s a back burner project, not really important to me at the moment just wanted to save it from the torch. I’ll get there eventually
What I learned today: I need a few cans of whatever magic sauce they we're spraying all over everything.
That this jumped up faster than i expected, well done matt keep up the good work
Great job. Love seeing old iron come back to life.
Fantastic, right in time for my cup of Joe!! 👍👍👍👊 👊 And it's Kudzu,it's all over the place down here.
Heh, now you have my interest in that line of cars! Great come back for that piece of heavy metal and with some TLC it looks like she will be working for a good long while!!
A very fitting addition to the fleet I must say, good job on reviving this one!
Love the work you do saving the old iron and then actually use it great work.
Now I know the secret of the universe: Kroil
I froze the video, I counted the rings, and that tree is clearly less than two weeks old.
Hi there! Well, i I also felt the adrenaline flowing and was also very surprised when the machine started running. What a kick these six-cilinders give when running!! You did a marvelous job again!!!! Whát a beast she is!!
those videos just never get old
it’s so much fun watching big machinery getting repaired
Hey Matt I love these videos and I am so glad you are resurrecting machinery like this. Keep going and don't let the vines win!
I would love to see an old barber green asphalt spreader put back to work after 18 years
My dad used to run a Blaw Knox PF20.. so this idea would bring back good memories. 👍👍👍
I like thinking you're going to really-clean that fuel system; the rust in the filler-tube almost made me sick!
Yes I’m gonna! The neck was the worst part tho. The tank didn’t look bad
Nice find and resurrection Matt! It appears that the bigger chore was uncovering her from the trees/vines, than actually bringing her "back to life". She's a beast! Hopefully you can find a home where she can go to work again. Thanks...enjoyed the video!
Hey, Matt There is something about starting Old Iron that is so cool. Good Work!
Am I the only one thinking it should be called "Fat Alice"?
Lol I guess you beat me to it, that's what I seen when he backed out
How about Fit Alice!
on my uncles old motor grader i always though it was "FLAT allis" lol since seeing it as a child, especially since it was used for making things "flat"

I'm guessing yes, can't go wrong with a old school wheel loader man.
