Does a sheepdog have to be raised on a farm to be a sheepdog... absolutely not, here we have Flute who has never seen a sheep before, showing how the 'instinct' is there waiting to be awoken. A life spent being a fur baby in a suburban environment certainly hasn't dulled her instincts. Flute is an example of how lots of life experiences as a young dog makes for a happy and rounded youngster. A dog can live in the house and play with tennis balls and still make a tenacious partner on the farm.
