Right? Honestly, I'd be mad about it all the time if one of those little beverage coolers was taking up what could be cabinet space in those tiny kitchens if I were living there. I actually cook, though, and I'm not a big drinker.
I got major anxiety when he smashed two toilet flushers on the wall with his shoe.. just imagine it getting stuck and the toilet started overflowing all over the place.
Yes, I noticed that as well but that’s Cash plus I’m sure he’d cover the damages without question especially since it’s on RUclips lol 😂 Cash one of these days you may fall through one of those questionable so called balconies, yikes 😬
8:59. If I lived there, I'd enquire about putting some ferns in planters in that space to brighten up what is effectively a closed in area. They should get enough natural light live there, and I'm sure the neighbours wouldn't mind looking out into some green plants as well. My favourite was the one with the space on the roof. It was tucked away, ultra private and not overlooked, which is very rare in NY. Put some potted plants along the perimeter of the area, with some that are taller than the fence, and you got an ideal outdoor space.
I love all the funhouse angles that NYC apartments have. We have 3" here - great stuff in a window at 45 degree angle. Perfect. It's absolutely useless and it faces an air shaft.

Probably the cheapest stuff available at the hardware stores. We have that too, here in California where everyone goes to Home Depot and buys this ugly, sad gray Pergo.
Those wires up on the roof are cable TV coax -- there is some low DC voltage on them, but they don't carry enough current to electrocute you (or even shock you, for that matter). Almost every building like these in Manhattan (4-6 story Old Law Tenement) has the cable service drop up on the roof and hanging down each "line" of apartments. Hard to notice from the street, but if you look closely you'll see it.
All nice apartments very good condition and all very similar of course. I just didn’t view one that I would choose to live in so onto the next ones. Thanks for your input Cash and I hope your family of four are doing well. You’ll need to post a picture of the newest addition soon.
These apartments today remind me of old tenement rooms, only cleaned up. And tell me, do most New Yorkers eat out or take out? I can't imagine making anything in these kitchens.
I live in a tiny NYC apt. with one of these tiny kitchens. I place my cutting board over the sink to increase prep space. It truly is a delicate dance of movement.
Cash is for entertainment only. And he never ceases to entertain with his slamming. As I’ve said before, if I need 12 roommates to afford these tiny apartments with odd angles that I would die in if there’s a fire I’ll stay where I am on the island for a fraction of the price. Keep doing your thing tho, Cash, love the neighborhood tour portions.
Entertaining yes as far as the apartment tours go and his sense of humor. But that slamming of everything has got to go. No consideration. Even the hitting the light switches hard, turning the faucets on and off and can’t even just set his backpack down. Has to throw it. Sometimes I’m tempted to unsubscribe. Love when Charles is with him cause he calls him out on it.
@@vickiwaller6326 I have said the same thing over and over again drives me crazy. I think it’s just inconsiderate of the owners, especially those that I put so much into those tiny apartment having been an apartment owner myself at one time. It drives me crazy when I see him doing that.
To me it is insane to have a beverage cooler but only enough counter space to prepare ramen noodles. The second apt has none at all! Why do NY landlords do this? Do they keep kitchens tiny because they tear out and put in a new one for each new tenant? Or because New Yorkers don’t actually cook?
These older buildings used to have fewer units. Eventually they were broken up into much smaller apartments. All sorts of weird configurations were the result. And New Yorkers have more options than most Americans for eating away from home.
Honestly, there are SO many good cheap eats everywhere in NYC that I think people really don't cook that often! At least this is true of most of the NYers I've known...
Whenever Cash refers to somewhere as being quiet i laugh...he has city ears. I go to NY and every where would seem loud to me. I go to the big city near me and hear everything!
Those shaftways. I just want to paint them all bright white and plant a tree in them. You'd have to ask the residents whether they want to look at a tree or they value the scant light it would take from their windows. I would install daylight grow lights in my window sill and plant a small format flowering tree.
Hi Cash and to your friend this apartment reminds me of narrow kitchens in Japan and other places. It still is a livable apartment in NYC great price. I like the brick walls and nice hardwood floors for a small apartment. Stay well and safe 👍
The first two apartments are quite cramped but OK for minimalists with a clothes-washing fetish who don't mind all the stairs. The third one has three possibly-legal bedrooms, if access to a shaftway counts. The last unit looks the most functional, and if you don't mind stairs and if Cash hasn't broken any of the doors and switches, it has the most reasonable price per person. That is, if any NYC price is reasonable.
95% of the closets that Cash calls “walk-in closets” are not walk-in closets. In my experience, the closet space depends on the age, type of building and type of renovations. Also a lot of the apartments shown by Cash are terrible renovations, where the landlords have sliced the apartment to create additional bedrooms… for roommate situations.
Good evening Cash. I just don't see how some of these places passed inspection those last bathrooms were so tiny, you definitely can't gain weight living there be you won't be able to fit in them. New York nothing in the world would make me pay those crazy prices every month to rent when you can use that to pay to own a home.
