There's another soda that tastes like classic MrPibb. It's called Doc X. They have Doc X Zero as well. It's not perfect, but it's the closest thing I've ever tasted to Classic MrPibb! _( Note: I personally like to mix Doc X and Doc X Zero... It's how I think I remember it, from the first time I tasted it, at a Chuck E Cheeses soda fountain... _*_*sigh*_*_ so very long ago. )_
"You know, good times like these are unforgettable..nnnn when your kinda sitting back and holding on to the memories" Me thinks there was more going on at the anonymous swamp location in the middle of no where parked with air boats.
LOL....John Beck was the actor saying all that spiel. He later grew a Tom Selleck mustache and starred in the movie Roller Ball and on the TV series Flamingo Road and Dallas.
In 2002, Coke changed Mr Pibb's flavor - made it less spicy in order to taste more like Dr. Pepper - and rebranded it "Pibb Xtra"; it's still good, but I preferred the stronger, spicier flavor before 2002....
This commercial rules ! There's another Mr Pibb commercial that shows a cowboy in the desert who wishes for a ice cold Mr Pibb and then one magically appears in his hand and then he wishes for someone to share it with and then a belly dancer looking woman appears out of thin air and mutters Oh Mr Pibb and proceeds to drink the whole thing. Next she hands him back the empty bottle and vanishes back into thin air. The conclusion shows the cowboy walking over a dune dejected with an empty Mr Pibb in the foreground. I've searched the internet for it and have come up empty-handed. My 80s brethren, help!
I hope someone out there has any 1985 Mr. Pibb commercials. Also, I think the "New Coke" scandal that year probably further blew Coke's chances of Mr. Pibb outselling Dr. Pepper.
What was the soda commercial with the guy in the desert who wishes for a cool drink, a soda appears, and then he wishes for a beautiful girl to share it with and she drinks it all then leaves him, still thirsty
You ripped these from our website. 😁
After 7 years, you've noticed! I uploaded this when I was 10, lol
We still have the original films on 16 mm which we paid to have converted to digital format in 2010.
Too bad someone ruined that one with the blue marker. Probably happened many years before we obtained them.
@@larryt510 so it WAS marker! Thought it was just normal VHS artifacts
Yeah probably some kid goofing around in the 70's 🤔
Actor John Beck is the guy on the log talking about the taste of Mr. Pibb. Beck later starred in Roller Ball, Flamingo Road, Dallas etc...
mr pibb brings up memories. thank God for pibb extra!
Wonder how long it took for Coke to realize the BB font originally used looked like the German double s. Mr. Pissss
It's either Mr. Piss or Cum-Cola
@@zzcolby27 from time to time i like to crack open a nice warm can of bepis.
Look like someone had a bit of fun with a blue Flair pen on the second commercial!

Both Dr. Pepper and Pibb Xtra are my favorite soft drinks. Although Pibb Xtra has kind of this bite to it that Dr. Pepper doesn't really have as much.

Wouldn't surprise me if it was.
0:05 a legend was born
2:27 One of the best/weirdest things on RUclips -- The Knack and Mr. Pibb. Love it!
I love drinking Mr pibb one if my favorites

Actually, Mr Pibb would've been successful, had they not changed the original formula.
@@kaijucifer3544 If so, indeed, maybe.
It's now called Pibb xtra(?) I'm drinking it right now

VERY RARE
You don’t see Pibb these days. Wonder why they’re rare to find.
Cuz they're regional. They're only sold in states where coke doesn't bottle Dr. Pepper. It's everywhere in my area.
I saw one at the Coke vending machine in the mall and they sell Pibb at my local Bargain Hunt vending machine.
The last one looks like it was animated by Danny Antonnucci.
this is needed now global
They Call Me Mr. Pibb
They keep saying it's nice to live they must be half Undead
Does this Mr. Pibb guy make boats or something what
excuse me, Dr. Pibb **
My comment is the first to post in three years. I deserve a Mr. Pibb.
