Have a great day and Keep Smiling! :)
It was really neat to see how it’s processed, and the tea plantation was beautiful!
I see that place productions is kinda dirty
Sarah Johnson good morning Sarah from Lampung ♡ have great day with your family
Sarah Johnson , hi Sarah .. saya Belum pernah kesana ...
halo sarah
I've been there once and the tea aroma in that factory is so strong 😄
I thoroughly enjoyed today's episode of Pak Martin senpai's educational video
"the best quality is used for export, the low quality is for local usage"
what if after they exported it, then they exported it back to Indonesia with higher price, but with just different branding/packaging lol
That probably happens like with Starbucks coffee.
True, the coffee industry in Indonesia is currently swarming with foreign investors. Starbucks mostly import Robusta and Arabica beans from Northern Sumatra (Around 40-50 thousand tons of beans per year), mixed them with coffee from other countries, and then exported them back into Indonesia afterwards.
Have you heard of clear coffee by any chance? it literally looks like a bottle of water, but it's actually made of Arabica coffee. They have a specialized machine to separate the coffee from the dregs, thats why it is clear. The coffee to water ratio is 1:8, 1kg of coffee to 8 litres of water. Doesn’t contain any preservatives, stabilizers, added aromas, sugar or sweeteners, and they claimed they would not affect the color of your teeth.
it's a fool thing a person do buying imported tea with higher place just because it's imported and international branded! always buy a local brand when available. i never buy lipton tea in indonesia or when i was in saudi arabaia where lipton is major tea brand!
Space Oregano low quality for local ? So that's what we call moral hazard
True, unless the imported ones are actually better than the local brands in terms quality
Your explanation is so clear, they should hire you as the guide, Mr. Johnson
I remember when I went to this kind of factory 25 years ago, my dad was with PTP X. Amazing how the factory still stay the same, only very little progress after 25 years. C'MON Indonesia, do better!!!

Pretty crazy that they end up exporting all the good stuff. Great videos!

Beginilah nasib negara berkembang.
I think the better quality tea and coffee is exported because the farmer/broker can get more money when they sell to foreign companies rather than local. Most people want to get the most they can for what they produce. It only makes sense.
I just figured they might want to drink some of the tastier stuff themselves from time to time! Great vlogs Martin, you are one of my favorites.
Hope you have a great stay in bandung! Maybe you can give a little visit to the newest museum in town, its in gedung sate
Thanks.

Why is the High Quality Tea for Export and the Low Quality Tea for local consumtion?
That is what the guide told us. I think the better quality tea and coffee is exported because the farmer/broker can get more money when they sell to foreign companies rather than local. Most people want to get the most they can for what their produce. It only makes sense.
Thanks for spelling the T for us, sir

Mula kedengaran dituturkan rasa2 nya di awal2 1970an.
Indonesia bila mula kedengaran?
Lower quality for Indonesia 😞
Puspita Sari aku tau mba aku jg ngerasain yg sama tp karena impor sih ya jadi kesan indonesia di mata luar negri jg bagus , tp ayo lah ya kualitas buat orang indonesia juga bagus
Puspita Sari percuma juga dikasi high quality rasanya cuman beda dikit tapi harganya beda jauh.
Emak2 jelas milih yg murah.
Well in my opinion Indonesians should get first class quality with reasonable price. We’re not that poor anyway 😊
Putting sugar on a high-quality tea... what a sin!
that marijuana not tea
just comments 😆😂🤣😅💩
