As for the appoggiatura that a couple of people have expressed as a no no. As a singer I know that sometimes singing in the moment we feel that singing something in a particular way, seems just like it was meant to be that way. Naturally. I prefer to think that it is not incorrect, but that the composer forgot to put it in. hahahahahah. Fabulous voice and interpretation. It is YOUR song for the time you are singing it. Bravo!
GREAT reply! And it's true-sopranos and other singers throughout the centuries have added all kinds of embellishments to songs and arias. When singing certain composers, like Purcell, it's EXPECTED-practically obligatory-that you'll add half a dozen or more ornaments when singing the verse the second time around.
Amanda they are not kind they are accurate. Former voice major at now the Jacobs School of Music (Indiana School of Music) to we profs here out in the world. Lovely singing, voice and woman-you . You make me proud
Our Father Which art in heaven Hallowed be Thy name Our Father Which art in heaven Hallowed be Thy name Thy kingdom come Thy will be done On Earth As it is in heaven Give us this day Our daily bread And forgive us our debts As we forgive our debtors And lead us not into temptation But deliver us From evil For Thine is the kingdom And the power And the glory For ever For Thine is the kingdom And the power And the glory For ever. AMEN
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be Thy name Thy kingdom come Thy will be done On earth As it is in heaven Give us this day our daily bread, And forgive us our debts As we forgive our debtors And lead us not into temptation But deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom And the power And the glory forever. For Thine is the kingdom And the power And the glory forever.
Wonderful and done in the high keu... beautiful voice and great musicianship. Liked the ending...why all the fuss from some about one beautiful high note...the complainers probably don't have, to them...get a life!! ..
Yes, it is one of the better performances of the Lord's Prayer on RUclips! I stopped by to review the piece for a wedding and I was looking for a version with the piano accompaniment instead of organ. Beautiful, Mr. Mann and Ms. Biggs.

This is so mellifluously and pristinely sung I can believe and see THE LORD’S KINGDOM, AND POWER AND GLORY. FOREVER. I have not heard this song sung with such sweetness and power ever. Thank you again.
I loved this version of Malotte's Lord's Prayer. This is a beautiful interpretation of this emotional piece. I loved the clear dynamics and the beautiful melodic lines created. Two comments needed, though. Firstly: a slight problem in bar 33, first beat - quite sorry to hear that. Secondly: 6 bars from the end, on the "A"- syllable of "Amen" - the appoggiatura really doesn't work here. Unfortunately sounds more like a wrong note than an embellishment, and it is on the very climax of the piece. Otherwise: WELL DONE!
I understand this point of view, and I appreciate the way it is graciously expressed. BUUUT... As I listened, looking forward to it and knowing it would be coming, I liked it.
M a bit confused. Our Father Which art in heaven but other Say Our Father Who art in Heaven. Maybe their is a deep theological explanation of this, which is accepted?
This is a deceptively hard song and you sing it well, Amanda; great breath support on those super long phrases. Your tone and vibrato are so consistent and even and I love the warmth you have. I must say, I think this is the most beautiful rendition of the Lord's prayer on RUclips (and I've listened to a lot!). Well done.
Great breath support and legato lines. Great interpretation! Beautifully sung.
My goodness, the resonance! Absolutely gorgeous and thrilling. Sounds like an exquisite hall to sing in also (acoustically).❤🎶
amazing! the best rendition I have heard in a long time... beautiful big voice... I would pay a lot of money to see you perform a concert
Absolutely chilling. You brought me to tears, this is so beautiful.
This is uplifting and beautiful.
Hi dad it's Jason
I've listened to quite a few renditions of The Lord's Prayer and this is one of the best!
Mom you are the BEST singer! Keep up the good work!
BEAUTIFULLY EXECUTED!!!!!!!!! A marvel, my dear!

Lovely singing, voice and woman-you . You make me proud
This was very beautiful...she has such a clear and strong voice, and her high pitch at the end is remarkable!
Simplesmente um encanto.....
Absolutely stunning! Your voice is a gift from God. I hope you're still sharing this gift.
Your amazing!
Thank you for your generous comments!
Beautiful.... What key is it in, please?
So beautifully done, now why do they put a breathy 10 year old jackie girl, pedophile bait, on PBS instead of this truly talented singer?
Lovely, lovely voice. What are you doing with your gift? Keep on singing.
Große Stimme und Gottes Segen
Excellent

Amanda is probably the only one who really reached b5 high note. Other singers compromised as much as down to F5. Keep going, Amanda!
Très belle voix. Mais dans quelle langue chante-t-elle ? Est - ce du breton antique ???? On n'y comprend RIEN ! Bravo tout de même !
PSAT: Tuhan, buat ma sorimago Covid-19 sian liat portibion. Asi rohaM mamereng hami. Amen. Terima kasih.
Our Father which art in heaven,
Hallowed be Thy name
Thy kingdom come
Thy will be done
On earth

Give us this day our daily bread,
And forgive us our debts
As we forgive our debtors
And lead us not into temptation
But deliver us from evil.

I have never heard it done better.
This is great Amanda! Love your voice and power here... distracting noise of metronome in background or recording artifact?
I hear no noise of metronome. Perhaps it's your speakers or system
Beautiful!! :)
Perfect and Enjoy it😳
Beautiful voice!

PTL just beautiful!!
Just heard a girl sing this at a memorial service. Beautiful. Have to keep hearing it-Thanks.
Cacophonic, just bursting out loud without musicality.
What? There were dynamics. Which are relative to each voice. This is a huge warm voice!!! Bravo.
@@57colliegirl Also too much annoying vibrato can ruin any music.
gorgeous gorgeous!!!!
