- So this is my first official Janto vid. I'm in love with that couple, the only problem is that it seems to me to be a one way street between the two. So here is my interpretation of their relationship: They seem to be perfect for eachother and yet Jack doesn't love Ianto like Ianto loves him. I luv this song, you used the clips so well it fitted the lyrics perfectly and i am sure that one day Jack will luv Ianto as much as he does him :) !!
I think in the beginning, Jack thought of Ianto as a challenge, someone unobtainable due to the fact that Ianto didn't like men.
But then, instead of being less interested in him when he got him, it piqued his interest more.
I think I'm the end he loved Ianto very much (and as others said, in The House of the Dead, Jack and Ianto have a sort of Doctor/Rose moment). I also think of it this way: Jack has no qualms with sacrificing one to save many. Ianto died trying to save the world, and Jack said, "Not him." (Albeit, it was a failed attempt, but I think it's the way any member of Torchwood would want to go out.) Yet later we saw Jack sacrificing his own grandson, though there was a hesitation.
I was surprised when I didn't find a vid of those two to this song. I didn't even finish with the second season when I bought the cd and got reintroduced to this song and I immediately thought of scenes I could use in a vid. It does just fit them perfectly. *sniffles* I can't help myself...oh bloody heck, I'm not ready for Ianto to go! I can't have him leave...I will never watch that episode...

i've been reading ianto joneses diary, it fills in alot of gaps. according to that. ianto is deeply in love with jack but doesnt like jack acting like he's not there. so he makes jack jump thru a few hoops b4 he'll return to his bed. when jack leaves season 1 and leaves torchwood high and dry, ianto does a lil soul searching. he loves jack but isnt willing to be his lil fluff on the side. give it a read, u'll love it
Sometimes I just wanted Ianto to just walk away from Jack b/c I didn't want him to get hurt. But I also didn't want him to leave Jack b/c they are great together.

2:15 is from season 1 episode 3 and the one afterwards is from episode 5 of season 1. And I agree, it's pretty much a pain to go through every episode and pick out the clips. It takes me a while to find the ones I want.

I loved the video. Just right for them. Great clips and editing and everything and Jack can be a bit of a bastard sometimes can't he? Ooh, one question for you...which episode is the clip at 2:15 from, and then the one directly after it? As you know, I make fanvids also, but cannot be bothered to trawl through my entire torchwood collection to find when they are. Once again, great video!
In children of earth on Torchwood In day four lanto dies and that's so sad and emotional and jack and lanto are my favourite characters in torchwood.

@ Dreams And Wishes, Ianto idolizes Jack, so his love is more intense than Jack's love for Ianto, who is only one of many, many loves Jack has had in his long, long life. I think their relationship is perfect.
between Gwen, Rose, the Doctor, The Real Jack, it must seem to Ianto that he is the runner up. Such competition. not to mention ex's like John Hart Estelle, Angelo. And Jack is immortal and will continue falling in love forever. Ianto is probably torn apart most days
