​@@chronicat there's only the flower dialogue that's different between the 2 siblings, the rest are the same.
If you have Aether as your MC the line when you discover the flower is: "That's the flower my sister was wearing in her hair"
If you have Lumine as your MC the line becomes: "That's the flower I've been wearing in my hair since I woke up"

Just notice something weird. During Lumine cutscene, we clearly sees the glowing of her attire as White. But this here, Aether' earing and clothes are Pitch Black. Does this mean that Lumine wield the Light and Aether the Dark element.

It’s lighting. It’s the same for aethers dialogue as well. Because one is a flashback and one is in present time. Also I don’t think there are dark or light elements as far as lore goes. The other “elements” or godly powers are time, vortex, salt (if your willing to call that a power) and a few others.

I also picked lumine but, They don't allow the mc to talk because we're making the choices (so we Literally talk in game but yes it's the fact the VA never does) ofc everyone knows this but just in case you didnt, You can also go in the voice-lines and Hear lumine talk! There may be a reason paimon is a thing by the way, We may end up as the player being happy if she ever dies but what a tradegy that would be to lumine is just sad, Or paimon will just keep being by our side, or Maybe Will betray us, Mihoyo hasn't killed her off yet for the sake of paimon is annoying, So just remember

It’s already confirmed they’re both canonical main characters, it’s just who you choose to go the story line as. People who like Lumine aren’t “inhaling copium”, they’re just stating how it is.

I certainly don’t because BOTH dialogues are quite identical, meaning that it doesn’t really matter which twin it is, almost everything is the same with either one(save for the pronouns of course, he/she him/her respectively)

lumine sounds like she would prefer more to directive approach and would do whatever it takes to reverse the cause of the cursed dwelled upon her people, by being so straightforward onto the goals she perceives to finish with a somewhat little to no will to care of whatever detriment she might cause from her own doings. say, she resembles herself that of a boss.
aether sounds like he's more sympathized towards his people, and so will try his best to ease the problem to avoid as much sacrifice. even though he wasn't able to think of any better decision, he will nevertheless pick whatever the best method is available for the sake of his people. from my perspective, he resembles that of a leader.
to my perspective:
just saying, i love aether more on being the abyss prince on this one (abyss lumine gang plez don't keel me, i only giving out my own perspective, no forced opinion since everything is optional on how you see it ;~;), since he has given remorse to his people, while lumine just sounds like she gives little to no care as long as her goals of reviving kaenriah is finished, but that's probably just my opinion.
but to consider who would fit more as a villain according to the twins' personality, i think both would fit just as the same into the role, the only difference is as how villains' personality are written to be different from each side of perspective, might likely have something to do with how the twins cope themselves through the everlasting trauma of the funni art of alchemy incident.

​@Malakoi seems like you've misinterpreted my paragraph here. yes, everything's scripted the same as they are meant to be. i'm only giving my own perspective of their narration, not saying "that" is what actually happened, i wasn't forcefeeding or anything.
besides, if people say lumine gave more impersonation as an abyss leader, go ahead, i'm not complaining, most people here has different perception of how the twins act. others can say abyss lumine is canon, or abyss aether as canon, but as the story progresses to its endline, both twins are conceptionally the same regardless of their choices.

Possible spoiler alert:
It’s probably because there’s a chance that the Abyss twin isn’t the one who actually placed the flower there, in this cutscene what we see is how they happened upon it. A future cutscene shows a fleeting image of an image still, which implies a different character was the one who could have placed the flower.

i know this is a really underrated opinion but aether fits more as abyss prince, my reasons are:
- his clothes match
- i love when women become the main character which we rarely get to see
- the fact that aether gave the flower is really cute
and etc but canonly in the end they are both mc's and abyss leaders

I see people deciding which is more fit for their roles based on their voice actors performance what if those voice actors were different. These people (maybe not all) just wants to justify what they picked or because they liked them. Aether was shown more in promotional for consistency at first it was lumine that was shown. Mihoyo stated that they can be both canons depends on what you choose, Mihoyo decided them to be "twins" for a reason because its like picking your preferred gender to play the game

@@foxinasweater2300 well, Aether sounded more of an anti-hero rather than an actual villain (broken and vulnerable)
Believe it or not, in the “we will be reunited” archon quest, actually made me shed a tear or two in the reunion between him and Lumine.
In this quest, he now sounds a bit more sure of himself, but I still suspect he is still at a turmoil on the inside. And made me shed a few more tears than last time.
Lumine did sound like an ACTUAL antagonist (cold and indifferent, kudos to the VA) but that’s exactly why I really didn’t find it anything new or unique, making her Abyss side (on this quest) quite dull.
Not to mention how Aether looks more of the part as being the Abyss Twin since his outfit seems bit more complex and has a darker theme to it (you know, how the Abyss itself is meant to be).
Another thing, I believe it’s a well-known fact that Aether’s the older twin, and it’s quite generic (one I don’t mind at all) for the younger sibling to search (and saves) for the older.
Last thing, I am a girl. So,of course, I would totally prefer a female protagonist any day.
But like I said, all of this is MY opinion so let’s just agree to disagree.

I kinda agreed with you there. There's a little plot hole going on when lumine is the mc, but people will be explaining things that is not confirmed by hyv, to fill into that plot hole. When it comes to aether as the mc, you can easily connect the flowers with lumine and the end narration of dansleif during the teyvat storyline video.
