That's my Saturday night's entertainment all done and dusted Andy. Very well presented and some lovely bikes on view there. Thanks for making this one for us all and a big thanks the man himself, Graham Weigh
What a fantastic collection. I could listen to Lee talk about Colnago for hours. Thanks to Graham for letting us see the bikes, Lee for the excellent overview and yourself for putting this together. Love it.
Bike number 3, that red super profil is the most gorgeous bicycle I have ever seen in my entire life. Just amazing! Can't even imagine what that thing is worth. Not for sale, priceless!!!
Wow thanks for doing this video. I am a Colnago Addict and have a Master X-Light and and C59 Team issue, both of which are ridden regularly (and are forever bikes). This also bought back some fond memories as I had a Saronni bike with Superbe Pro back in the 90's and wish I never sold it. Keep up the great work.
Wow, he has so many bikes and they're all Colnago. He must be obsessed with them! I'm glad he is though, it was nice to see and hear him talk about them.
Yas that was when Young Lemond chased Down his Team Mate Boyer and basically led out Beppe in The Sprint! But yas of course the Sarroni Red Super is my favorite Still!!
I own a Colnago Pista with four crimps in the top and down tubes, with none on the seat tube or stays. As far as I have been able to determine, there was never a model in the range like that, and I have only ever found one more like that on the internet, which, according to its owner was reputedly built for Jan Raas for his last track season. I suspect that mine, similarly, was built for a particular rider, to particular specifications, but, so far , have been unable to determine for just who? I did e-mail Colnago at the time I got it, but got no reply. Since then I found out that Laura at Colnago handles historical queries, so I really must get around to asking her.......there is a stamp on the right dropout- " H6R"- "H6"- I believe indicates August '86- but what, or who the "R" refers to, I do not know.
When I was 12 I just got into cycling. Basically no one in my town road racing bikes. It was a small farming town. So one day I go to the drug store to buy some candy and there’s a COLNAGO outside. I was in total shock. I just stared at it for 5-10minutes. I had no clue what it was. Now I’m 62. Have cycled across the USA 4 times and Ridden across China and India and Australia. I’ve owned many bikes in the last 50yrs. I’ve never owned an Italian bike. Right now I have 6 Ti bikes 5 of which are Campy and one Shimano. I still love Colnago
Thanks for sharing your story with us. Sounds like you’ve had a rich life of cycling, amazing! Thanks for watching and your support it’s much appreciated
Amazing video. Thank you for sharing. I am always stunned by the beauty of the bikes that many us took for granted back in the 80's. Now we are racing to buy up what we can 🙂
I so enjoyed that👍🏻 I still have my Daccordi SLX from the 80s and it is immaculate. I much prefer the ride of my full carbon Bianchi over the old steel 'works of art', and Graham Weigh is a legend, I grew up watching him race as a pro and few years ago bought my Dolan track bike from the very nice man he is. This is what RUclips should be about, lovely material like this
Andy - thank you for another great video ! I have 2 Masters in the stable - Olympic and PIU - surprised Graham did not mention the Colnago Fork Evolution. For me the Precisa fork and Gilco tubing was the pinnacle of a classic steel frame.
Good call! Thanks for watching glad you enjoyed it, sounds like you have some very nice bikes there. Thanks for sharing and your support, it much appreciated
the early Master frames still had the curved fork. The mid-80s Master frames in red retinatto (and other red variations) are my favorite before they started with all that rainbow gibberish color schemes of Mapei, Buckler and Lampre. Oh well...
I have that exact Tecnos, same color. A real beauty from ‘96, bought it new. Mine may be in better shape. Lightest steel frame they ever made., and a great ride.
I just bought a 1980 Colnago Super with Roger de Vlaeminck panto. I'm really privileged to own a piece of history. Thanks for all your great videos, look forward to what's next. Maybe a Legnano as that's my next project.
Very nice! 🚲 I’ll be definitely getting a restoration done, I have a few on the go. Juggling to many plates at the moment. A bit like waiting for the bus, I’m sure they will all come at once 👍 thanks for your support it’s much appreciated
Another great video, Andy! I have a 1982 Super in Saronni Red (Super Record but not pantographed, alas) and my most recent acquisition is a 1996 C40 (same paint scheme as the Master Olympic at 17:29). Both are wonderful to ride, albeit very different. All great bikes in this collection but I think the one I would go for is the Master so as to compare it to my contemporary C40.
Brilliant, glad to hear the Colnago bug has bitten you. Sounds like you've got some nice bikes there. Thanks for watching and your vote it is much appreciated
Very interesting video, thanks for sharing. Great collection . At one moment I was dreaming of a Colnago Master X Light and a Tecnos but the price of the frames for sale alone where far out of my reach. I ended buying some other high end steel and alumnium frames as projects with a Vetta Team in Dedacciai 18 MCDV6HT, a Fausto Coppi Legano in Columbus Genius, A Grandis Overmax, a Daccordi Fly aluminium custom, a Veneto Art Decort Altec 2 Frame, a Pinarello Stelvio in Kens (Dedacciai 18 MCDV6HT Tubing) and a CT Wallis in Reynolds 731 OS. I have also a fair share of my mountain bikes including a 1995Scapin in Dedacciai 18MCDV6HT, a 1997 Kona Kilaeua in Reynolds 631, a 1992 Merida Albon and added three other MTB projects with a 1998 Jamis Dragon in Reynolds 853, a 1999 Trek 6700 SLR and 2004 Trek 6500SLR. Graham is also a well known frame builder. A friend of mine has a Graham Weigh Reynolds 853 road frame equipped with dura ace, a terrific bike. You should do a video on the Colnago Ovaltitan and Bititan titanium bikes , they are well worth it.
Wow sorry for the late reply been on holiday. You’ve mentioned some very nice and interesting bikes there. Have you seen the Graham Weighs Colnago collection I did.
Nice collection! Now I have a question about the Master versions. I own a 1994 MasterLite which has internal rear brake cable routing and the seat stays are conventional. My other bike is a 2002 Master which has now external rear brake cable and a "fastback" seat stay arraignment. Any insights to the MasterLite range?
Thanks for watching. Answer to your question I personally do not know. Lee maybe able to help. If your on Facebook the Colnago groups are a wealth of knowledge.
I have raced on Masi bikes after I bought a Technos Frame and built it up with a 9 speed Veloce group-I bought this frame when everyone was keen on Alu, Carbon or Ti Last year I bought a C50 I don’t ride them I just have it to watch them
Wow, I need more information about hte super profil. What if there is a frame just like this one, but with the CX fork? I just found a frameset like that and can't categorize it! Love the collection!
That is Amazing. Brilliant video. Thanks for sharing. Just a small note : at @10:00 Lee mentioned that Saronni won the "worlds" in 2002 - in fact, he won it in 1982 (at Goodwood, and I was there by the finish line to see him rocket up the hill so fast that Lemond & Kelly could not follow him ;o)
Thanks for that, I think Graham has already made a comment and pulled us on it. Amazing you was there. Thanks for sharing your memories, knowledge and support much appreciated. All the best
Another exceptional video with Lee. Would have watched the whole thing even if it was twice as long. I always loved the Master Deco Art models. Thanks Andy. 👍👊
Lovely collection indeed thanks Andy - the silver Master and Technos is most striking to my eyes...notwithstanding the gold C/Rec SL burgundy w/champ 🏆 - I wish I'd kept more of mine - thinning out a few I sold a 70s Colnago Columbus SL (can't remember the model) with full titanium infested top of range Nouvo Record and Gp4s and Arc en ciel silk tubs for £350 in 2006 - bloody idiot !!
£350 wow! It’s funny how like most things how all of a sudden they begin to become valuable again. Sounds like you had some incredible Colnago’s. Thanks for your vote, sharing and support. Much appreciated 👍
looks like there is a fair amount of tire clearance in the early 80s colnagos. one could make an incredible gravel, endurance bike mod. could use a 1x modern drive train.
Would make an interesting build, Colnago made some very nice cyclocross bikes back in the day, and they go generally for a cheaper price. You've got me thinking now. Thanks for watching
It will take a lot to let go of my Word Perfect frame set. Frame tubes are listed as full race a type that is different than others I think. Acciaio Nivacrmom Extra EL Leggeri Tubi Speciali Rinforza
I wish people stop calling them Colin ago there's no fucking I in it 😂 love the video ,my biggest regret is selling my master Olympic with full dura ace & mavic rims 😣
Cinelli = Chee-nelly, not See-nelly. Ciocc = like church without the R. Colnago = COAL-nah-go, not Cola-nago. Campagnolo = KAHM-pahn-yolo..Piu = pew. What do you mean "Ernesto (Colnago) was wheeled in to the bike show"? It's not like the man's in a wheelchair even today! Saronni won the World;s in 2002? Sorry, but that was Mario Cipollini but he wasn't riding a Colnago. Besides all that - nice collection!!!
What Colnago bicycle in the collection is your favourite? Or what's your all time favourite Colnago bike?
That "C" climber.... Wow... Id love that 😘
I only have Olympic bikes.
Bititanio
Andy,,,,had a Colnago carbon but crashed and frame was trash from it….. I’m now in search for the Mexico ,,,,,, steel is real….
I like the Mapei Master.
That's my Saturday night's entertainment all done and dusted Andy. Very well presented and some lovely bikes on view there. Thanks for making this one for us all and a big thanks the man himself, Graham Weigh

A wonderful collection of rolling art. I could look at all of them for days on end. Stunning! Thank you Andy for showing us. Cheers!

Big thanks Neil glad you liked it 👍

What an exotic collection. Never rode a Colnago but I did have a Legnano in the late 50's early 60's in the very same lime green colour.
I hope it brought back some fond moments thanks for watching and the support
Cannot fault, really well done and something people will be able to reference over time. 👏
Many thanks for your supporting comment and watching. All the best
FYI Saronni's win was 1982 of course [at Goodwood] .
Thanks for the update 👍🚴♂️
1982 not 1980
