I have a 2013 ILX too but it uses HIDs and is different than yours. But I don't like HIDs or halogens, I wanna use LEDs, my HIDs are going out, they used to be white now they are yellow and dimmer.
that is not a very good sign. I don't know how hard it is to change from HID to LED. I know that the LED bulbs are swappable with the regular bulbs but i'm not sure with HID though.
Took the battery out to get to the drivers side... But that passenger side one is complete BS in real life, made me hate this car. Lol. Thanks for this video.
Yea the driver side is complete BS. Hence it's why we gotta go underneath the wheel well to reach to the top just to get the bulb. I hope the video helps and stay positive! I love the car so far. Bought it used at 44k miles and right now at 166k. No major issues! Really dependable.
to remove the bulb from it's headlight housing, you have to twist left and pull out. It should come together as 1 piece with the plastic socket. You cannot remove the glass bulb by itself. It's best not to touch the glass bulb with bare hands as the oil will make contact on the glass and it'll heat up and break it.
@@Van-cl2tz it sucks but it's easy to do. Make sure you turn the wheel all the way to the opposite side to the light you're working on. If you're working on the right light, turn the wheel all the way to the left and vice versa.
once you put the bulb back into the headlight housing, it's a twist to lock. To replace the bulb, it has it's own clip where you have to push on the plastic tab to pull it out from the wire.
Hello, I have 2014 Acura ILX. Similar setup on the passenger side. I took out the top of the reservoir and had access to the cover. It turned but did not come out. Is there a screw or something holding it down or do I need to apply more pressure or have use a flathead to pry it open?
If you're talking about the circle cover for the headlight, just apply more pressure to pull it out because the O ring on that cover is pretty thick. Make sure it's completely turned left and try to pull it out. You can use a flat head to pry it off but just be careful so you won't break the plastic or tear the o ring

I am banned from Reddit for three days. I’m worried that the very old posts/comments that I’ve upvoted/downvoted with my multiple accounts would still eventually come back to bite me in the butt even after my 3 day ban. You think I’d be fine if I just not use my alternate accounts to upvote/downvote the same stuff again? Tbh, my other two alternate accounts are just me pretending to be fictional characters. My Pinterest account has been permanently banned. I don’t want my Reddit account to end up the same lol. I can’t exactly ask this question on Reddit either.
Giangsturh My second alternate account was me pretending to be a JoJo character which is really fun. My third one is Agent Hitler, FBI. Roleplaying reasons really. But, sometimes I get really petty and try to max the downvotes on certain comments or posts or upvote my own and others’ with my alternate accounts. I hope my 3-day ban only took my recent actions into account. I just got into making anime memes for the new anime memes subreddit (r/goodanimemes).

I tried to replace mine and it came on for like 2 seconds and then turned off. Which way do you turn the bulb?? This is on the drivers side

@@Van-cl2tz so for the side, you will have to access it through the wheel well. Take off the fender lining and go from the bottom to reach up.

Is there a clip holding the bulb in place or just turn the bulb counterclockwise
The bulb is a clip. Just push on the tab and it should slide off.

How did you remove the windshield wiper fluid reservoir? Is it Twist off or pull off?
I was only able to remove the top neck of the reservoir by twisting back and forth and pulling at the same time since there's a rubber seal on it.
This is base model Top trim has a different bulb
Yup. There are 3 trims on the 2013-2015 ilx. I have the base 2.0. The other is the hybrid 1.5 and the top is the technology package 2.4.
My Acura ILX has a totally different bulb. Why?
Either you have a newer model or a previous owner did a bulb replacement
You have HID lights, that's why. These are halogen
This guy has base model top model has HID
2.0 Premium or 2.4 Premium gets you xenon headlamps
The washer reservoir apparently needs a good Yanking to get out. and this guy must have the smallest nimble hands!!
