Firefighter DISABLED After Serving In A Hotshot Crew Gets A FREE Lawn Cleanup

- I was contacted by a homeowner who was looking for a lawn mowing service provider for the year. She told me that she yard was a bit tall and was willing to pay extra to get everything restored. I told her about what I do and that the initial mow would be free. She thanked me and told me that she had been recently disabled from an injury at her job.
During the cleanup, I noticed firefighter design license plates on her black truck. I asked her after the service if she was a retired firefighter. She told me that she had been on a hotshot crew and something medically, I think, caused her to step away.
I am truly grateful for all of our firefighters who not only risk their health but also their lives to save others. Thank you for your service!

I’m a horrible person but as a neighbor and I knew my neighbor was disabled unable to mow their lawns I would just do theirs as well. Especially in this situation it’s a small front and backyard so easily done as well. As humans we need to do a better job looking out for one another it’s not difficult

Cleaning up the abandoned properties, especially the sidewalks, improves things for those who have the misfortune of living near such properties and especially for all of the pedestrians who use those sidewalks.
And maybe someday local governments will get smart and start taxing people more who let their property just set around looking abandoned instead of developing it for housing or other needed active uses. Give them a financial incentive to do something instead of nothing with their property.

I think as a community we tend to think of firefighters as just first responder as a whole but i think their job is far more dangerous than any other first responder units out there Hot spot crews are the ones who go around putting out smolder spots and initial burn sites to stop fires from spreading they can have fires all around them within a heart beat. Mainly wild fires whey are also the guys they send in to dig fire breaks to try and stop the fire in its tracks. So i agree with the sentiment thank you so much for your service to all firefighters out there if you haven't been told in a while you are doing a great job. God bless you all and keep you safe. Thank you also for the other first responder for all that you do you are all amazing human beings and a breed all of your own it takes special people to do what you do every day. The neighbor on the garage side was mowing the whole strip, so that is something.
The neighbors may be using a landscaping contractor that doesn’t want to risk damage liability. For some people, no good deed goes unpunished.

I like the way when finishing your last line on the front lawn, you chose the 3rd darkest line over, I find this helps the overall finish to the lawn, emphasizing the different contrast between the two lines, while if you had finished on the 1st dark line from the end i find this would draw the eye; thus the final product not delivering a symmetrical cut displaying evenly manicures lines.

Being invalided out of one's job, especially in a tight team job like firefighting is really tough to take - wishes & prayers to the lady - it takes time to come to terms with that, take all the time you need or it will bite later.
