In the television series, it shows they were creating super genetic German shepherds. Not sure if that’s cannon, but I think it would considered cannon now since Bethesda had input on the series
@@A3urden0nUIts cannon, but we dont have any reason to believe dogmeat was an enclave remnant experiment as the fallout Tv show is set a good few years after 4.
@@dyecyde how many other German shepherds are there in the wasteland? You never see any. You do see a lot of mutant dogs, which leads me to believe that all the other dogs, over time, would have been irradiated and turned. It would be an educated guess but assuming any remaining healthy dogs were enclave experiments isn't a far stretch.
It's a gag based on the idea of the dog whistle. Hilarious someone has to bring up canon to facilitate their fantasy or a fantasy world that fits together seamlessly.
So your telling me while I was doing this mission and realized I forgot him I COULDVE JUST CONTINUTED GOING THROUGH INSTEAD OF RUNNING ALL THE WAY THERE AND BACK
Awww, Dogmeat shows up ignoring the protagonist, like "this dude just avoided me the whole time" 😂. I don't use companions, I'm a loner in real life and in games. Plus companions take away the challenge of the fight, even the stealthiness of a mission. I currently have Dogmeat living in a dog house, right outside my house in sanctuary. Never took him on a mission.
Gotta give the credit where it's due: it's definitely better than just assuming we already met Dogmeat. But it would've been even better to have some other way to progress without the doggy. I know you can just go inside Fort Hagen without the good boi and make progress, but come on, that hardly qualifies as another way of solving it. It's just skipping steps. It's sad that one of the most thought-out "details" in Fo4 is just an unexpected line or two.
@@heroicxidiot yes, you can. I did it my first playthrough in VATS not knowing dogmeat is a companion. Just have to do it before he even gets close to activate the dialog sequence.
@@PIeasantPain It must be a bug then, a particular one you got. Because as far as I'm concerned, Dogmeat is set as essential as well as basically all your companions.
Dogmeat only works with those he chooses, makes sense he’d work with Nick at some point or another.
dogmeat is the best for with lone
wanderer but he is the first companion with I retired him helping me all the way to far harbor
Dogmeat. still wondering how dogmeat can hear that being so far

I love all these game ending experiments and alternate ending/junctures!😂❤
Wow it's been a looong time since I've seen something I never did in FO4. This was cool thanks
Imagine not having master lock picking
I lost dog meat I sent him to sanctuary and I haven’t seen him since 😢

Dogmeat has to be a synth
Nah, he a spirit of the wasteland. That’s how he appears in (almost) every game.

But what happens if you accidentally kill dogmeat? This whole quest line is totally different.
you can't kill dogmeat

Yup confirmed dog meat is a synth
Nope canonically the fallout 4 Dogmeat is a descendant of Nate and Nora's Pre-War dog.
First comment bro can I get a pin please?
And I also didn’t know that in FO4
