@@attilakovacs5040 Is that the special lazer rifle from the pitt? this is the exact same thing that happened to me!! had like the perfect account and went after alll the special weapons and this one was lost to somewhere because the game quicksaved 👎🏼🤦🏻 imagine you need to go around the entire wasteland and all the dlc maps just to find it, i did try and found many other things but not this gun, i still have that save on my xbox 360 so when my kids grow up i shall task them with finding this and then if they fail then they can get their kids to look and so on, family heirloom 👍😂

There's also the fact that without buying them I think there's only like 72 mini nukes scattered around the capitol wastelands very much have a limited number of shots unless you're willing to buy them
2 of those are from random encounters and 1 from a quest you also have 96 in total if you include dlc

Unless they fixed it, you can raid Arturos pad (use the door behind shop, across from Valentines agency). Usually there was a mini nuke that would respawn after a while.

I mean besting that weapon isn't hard considering it's so innacurate that even though nukes are a "to whom it may concern" weapon it's hard to reliably hit anything with it

I use a mod that changes this fat man with a combat rifle, maintaining the same legendary effect of the double bullet fired, so I have the automatic overseer's guardian rifle from vault 81 and this big boy that I upgrade with 308 ammo which does absurd damage and I barely need any other weapons in the entire game.
It pairs nicely with the MIRV upgrade, you leave nothing but ruin and corpses when you fire it
Question does it use two mini nukes when you fire it or does it only use one from your inventory and the other one just appears
Fun fact, at least in 3 you can use the MIRV in VATS with the Mysterious Stranger perk and get insanely lucky and have one of the mini nukes kill the stranger. His gun does crazy damage.

Im 99% sure you cant actually pickup the gun and have to use console commands to use it, but i havent played fallout 3 in a decade.

I’m made one of those fallout 76. It turns out that when you have a legendary two shot Fatman and combined it with an MRIV mod it make things go boom.
I’ve only gone heavy weapons once in fallout 3 and the sheer unrivaled destruction of the fat man was awe inspiring

@@SteveDe935 the overkill variant in 76 is basically the one that does murder hell and micro nuke overkill best along with a bug that basically shoots 2 volleys of 24 mini nuke hell for 1 shot. it's 48 shots straight from hell

Easier way to grab the gun is to go into 3rd person go to the right of the door and unlock it from the inside

Instead of finding all the holotapes, you can do what I used to do as a kid. Stand on the side of the door that has the button on the other side, then use the third person camera and turn it all the way around until you see the activate button come up. Works on Xbox 360/Series and PS3.
The GRA Fatman ammo from NV was even better

I swear in FO4 there was a special version of the fatman sold by one of the merchants that could fire 2 nukes at once. Think it was the weapons guy in diamond city or the weapons guy aboard the prydwen

You can access the door lock. If you crouch at the wall, you don't need the codes at all it's difficult but doable similar to the wall glitch in Megaton for the house decorating stuff.

I think the other issue is that not only is buying them expensive, the amount of places that do sell them I can count on one hand
The big boy from Fallout 4 with the mirv launcher upgrade literally does twice the amount
When you’re at the door to the bunker, if you aim your camera right. You can flip the switch from the other side of the door without any of the codes
This one & the T-51b in Fort Constantine are some of my favorites in the game. I've made it essential for every playthrough
Mirv experimental got a really good upgrade in 76. Only takes 1 mini nuke per shot and only splits over the target or at max range .
You don’t need to find the holotapes. 3rd person and look up while ducking and running into the locked door
MIRV launcher was actually a coding bug originally and then they decided to keep it in the game but make it into a unique version of the FatMan in FO3. In FO4 it was made into a normal mod you could make but they upped the amount of items with MIRV options like the MIRV frag (and Smart MIRV frag). They added the Two Shot ability which realistically made stuff like missile launchers and STGs technically MIRV qualification.
But the two shot MIRV FatMan is the ultimate one.
Fun fact, in terms of sheer weapon value, the Red Glare from Fallout New Vegas has a mouthwatering 46,500 value in perfect condition making it the most valuable weapon.

The cheapest, deadliest weapon in the Fallout series is the Laser Detonator in the Base Game's DLC. It can fire an unlimited amount if mini nukes, rockets, and grenade machinegun ammo when hot keyed to the weapon. You need the fatman or other weapons to hot key their ammo. Not all types of these ammo types work.

Drop all but one from your inventory, it will still shoot 8 nukes even if you only have one
I heard rumblings that you can look at the door a certain way and open it without the code. Can't recall where I heard it from.
Works. That's how I got it on my first ever playthrough, very close to launch. No idea if it still works since I didn't have internet and was on the release version, no updates whatsoever.

If you hump the far right side of the door, go in third person and rotate the camera, you will see a command “activate switch” to open the door without finding any of the holotapes
You can buy a two shot fatman add experimental mod to shoot 8 fatmas at the cost of 4
Or get the big boy from fallout 4 and attach the Mirv attachment to it then you can shoot 12 for the price of 1
You know, One time I found one random ass mini nuke in a random apartment in diamond city. I was just checking out the city before a did any major quests, I didn’t know there was a mini nuke! I was like level 9 or something, I couldn’t even do anything with it!
