Good to see Dobbs getting some recognition. He has played well, and elevated a team that nobody thought would do anything much this year. I’m a 49ers guy, so I’m sold on Brock, but the Cards played well against us, and they beat the hated Cowboys. I think they’ll win more than their fair share of games this year.
I knew after Brocks 1st start he was a huge upgrade over Jimmy. It's taking fans a long time to come around due to his draft status. Gotta love Fitzmagic. Dude left it all on the field. He was just fun to watch.
For those saying Purdy is just a product of Shanahan's system, keep in mind that ever since he stepped in as the starter, the team has averaged 30 + ppg. Prior to that, they were scoring in the low 20's. That's very telling!

Life-long Niner fan here and I am glad to see Dobbs mentioned. He looked pretty darn good against SF. He brings a lot of what Purdy brings to the table for the cards. He looked confident and ran the Offense well. It also seems like the Cardinal players support and respect him. They played well for him. Much respect for Dobbs. As for Purdy, it's weird. If he had been a 1st round pick, doing what he is doing, the MSM would be gushing about him. This "Mr. Irrelevant" thing really gets under the skin of a lot of self-proclaimed 'experts' for some reason.
So my question about Kid Purdy is - did he get lucky and fall into the right system or did he make himself fit in Kyle’s system? Both can be true I guess but he runs the system better than any other qb in that system. That is special in its own right especially when you consider the length of his NFL tenure.
Right now just based on stat Brock is most definitely top 5. Sadly I don’t think people will really start jumping on the bandwagon until they beat the cowboys.

Brock Purdy can play and be successful in any timing based/west coast offense, which is far from being exclusive to Shanahan and the 49ers.

I knew on the 3rd and long play his first game against the fins. Had a free rusher sprinting towards him and threw a perfect pass to Kittle for a 1st.

He fit what Kyle wants to do. That's why he was drafted.
The reason he kept the starting job, is how good he is at operating that system.
