I was told by my doctor in April that I have high cholesterol. My total cholesterol was at 203. I am male, 5’6”, and weighed 165 lbs. She told me in order to lower my numbers I had to cut out dairy, sugar, meat and any processed food.she all prescribed that I exercise 5 times a week. It was extremely difficult but throughout my journey I found Dr. Liu’s channel. It changed my life and the way I eat. I recently went back for another blood panel and my total cholesterol dropped to 130. I just wanted to say thank you for your videos they have changed the way I view food and the way I live my life.

The cholesterol "problem" is not real. There is no proof of heart problems with cholesterol 'problems'. You actually NEED cholesterol for your brain function. Alzheimers can be a problem fir people who take cholesterol lowering medicines. Stop taking prescription drugs to "lower" cholesterol. You don't need it.

    From southeast asia recipes
    Prawn
    Turmeric powder 2 teaspoon or
    fresh one 1 inch
1 Pineapple chop into slices 1cm width
    1 lemongrass
    Coconut milk
    Blend1 onion and 3 garlic
3 chilies can skip this or use cayenne pepper
    How to cook
    700 ml water boil it
    Pour the blended ingredients
Put lemongrass , after the water boiling put the Pineapple cook for 10 minutes then put the prawn and coconut milk. Slow cook with medium heat. don't overcook the coconut milk
Seasons it how you like it with the salt. No need to add sugar if the pineapple already sweet. Turmeric commonly use in southeast asian country. This is one of my favourite recipes the name is Masak lemak udang nenas. The final results you will get creamy soup with refreshing taste because of the pineapple. You can add basil leaves. In the original recipe we add turmeric leaves. If you want more creamy texture add less water and add cooking cream. It will be more thick you can eat it with bread. Because here we eat with rice. The soup more watery.

A little more detail about the method for reducing arsenic in rice formulated at University of Sheffield: use 4x water to rice, boil 5 min, drain, then cook as usual. (You can of course cook rice fully in excess water, but this method was developed to maximize retention of nutrients while minimizing arsenic.) Also, Consumer Reports, back in 2012/2014 tested many brands of rice. Roughly speaking, many brands of white rice have half the inorganic arsenic of brown.

SPICES! This is where food sold in the U.S. is lacking. Typically the main ingredients in our foods are: oil, salt, sugar, and maybe Cheyenne pepper when it is called "spicy". The other ingredients are a lot of chemical flavor enhancers and food stabilizers. If you want fresh spices you will have buy them and prep the food yourself. Even ethic restaurants in the U.S. are too cheap to add a variety of spices. Good spices make a dish satisfying. When you delve into Asian and Ethiopian recipes you will discover a world with many unfamiliar exotic spices. Be brave and go on a spice safari. I try to purchase a new fruit, vegetable, or spice each week. I love to experiment with new flavors. 🌶

Hi. I had no idea that there are 2 types of cinnamon. I learn so much watching you. I don't think the way you explain things are scary at all. ITS KNOWLEDGE. Even if I don't understand much the words, (scientific technically) I still learn a lot. THANK YOU. In Brasil we prioritize natural medicine, and we use it with caution (is not because is natural that mean it can use a lot). that is why I like to watch your videos and learn more. After watching your video, I search on RUclips about cinnamon because of my liver issue, and I find this video below. I think both cinnamon is good, but people need to know the difference. For me now only Ceylon cinnamon.
