  • This is one of the handiest tools to have in my arsenal. I really like how simple it is, and yet gives you the necessary information. Given it's LED, it takes almost no power to run.

    These are very useful little meters. I have one and use it for charging 18650's and nickel metal hydrides, which are sensitive to overcharging.
    Just a quick note about the video: the second function of the meter, the "capacitance", is a mistranslation in their manual. They really mean "capacity", measured in mAh (milli Amp hours). "Capacitance" is a completely different electrical term, and is measured in Farads.

    According to its Amazon store page, "The built-in intelligent charging control IC matches the most appropriate and safest current for your devices automatically." That would account for the fluctuation you saw when you first plugged in the phone before it leveled out at the phones best charge rate.

    Very interesting, I have almost the same setup test (GRDE + this Droke).
    I have about 5.10V and a solid 0,27A - max. 2A expected on the 2A connector... Like you do !

    It might be because your phone is on. Try turning off the phone.
