The Falkreath guards had no right to imprison him. He wasn't given a fair trial, first of all, and second he came to town looking for food and shelter. He only attacked the guy because he was threatened with a sword. That's pretty much just textbook self-defense.
@@dscwac396 it's his romance quest so I think he's getting a relationship value I'm not sure if he already had one you get to talk with him more about his past and I think when you first meet him in the jail his quest for that is getting changed a little bit there's other stuff too but I don't want to spoil it
