While watching this, I found myself so at peace, that I turned off the big overhead light, poured myself a cup of fresh coffee and simply enjoyed the rest of the video as the sun started to rise. It was wonderful going along with you. Peace and Love to you and your beautiful family!
This video was so well done from the filming to the editing to the voice over and the music. Thank you for this wonderfully peaceful video. Merry Christmas Laura, Aaron, Benjamin and Samantha Grace. ⭐️🎄🕯💚🕯🎄⭐️
This was a lovely, peaceful way to celebrate the fruits of your labour. I couldn’t think of anything more rewarding than spending time with your loved ones over a beautiful meal. Merry Christmas 🎄✨
Merry Christmas to you and Aaron, Benjamin and Samantha~Grace. Also the GA team Paul & Ken plus the extra’s I can’t remember their names and of course your Mum Dad and brothers and sister. You have filled my days with wonder and beauty for the Garden I am creating ( at an incredibly slower pace) and inspiration for all the wonderful things possible. This video was the perfect last video for my night here in Queensland Australia and was like a fairytale story laid out for me to dream with through the night. Merry Christmas to the GA family and to all a Good~Night 🎄
This was probably one of the most relaxing videos you have created. Your voice was so soothing with the beautiful music background and seeing the kids and Aaron playing with Samantha was priceless. Thank you for starting my day with a smile 🌷
My son, who is a month younger than Samantha, started clapping when he saw her and Aaron playing 😊 I hope to one day be able to grow our food like you do!
Am I the only one who wants to know where the coffee pour over thingy came from? Laura, please explain how you use this! Inquirers want to know. How satisfying this whole experience had to have been for you. One of my most favorite videos! 💖

The coffee strainer was in style 40 yrs ago and sold everywhere. I have looked for them in stores since then, but never looked online. They work great. Use fine grit coffee grounds and boiling water with a paper strainer. Since there is only one hole in the bottom, you will have to refill it until you have the desired amount of coffee. It takes very little patience to get fresh coffee for one, without a machine (you do have to have boiling water).
I watched this on television youtube so I couldn't respond at that time but I loved the peacefulness and your family, and the finished product looked wonderful. I loved all of it. I also have to tell you, I for one am glad you are cutting back to 5 videos a week! I enjoy your videos so much but feel guilty at the time away from your family. I am sure all your followers agree with me your family comes before your work! Your babies will be grown before you know it, enjoy every second you can. Your priorities are in order! Thank you, I so enjoy your channel and it is one I never get tired of. Blessings to you and your family.
Oh my gosh, what a thrill to see you make pasties!! My grandparents were born in England. My grandfather was a miner and my grandmother would make him pasties, wrap them in a linen napkin and put it in his pocket. I remember helping cut onions, potatoes and carrots. Sometimes rutabaga, most of us kids didn’t like so carrots for us. Boy, this brought back a flood of wonderful memories! Your pasties look delicious. Merry Christmas 🎄
I love that you mention the cloth. I know there's a myth about the crimp being thrown away to avoid getting the toxic dirt on the pasty but all mining families seem to mention that the miners had them wrapped in a cloth and wouldn't have thrown food away. I live on the Devon/ Cornwall border so have grown up eating pasties.
When I try to tell people that when the simple things in life make you happy, you will simply be happy. Those who get it get. Laura your blessed, and you definitely get. 🥰🥰🥰
One of the many reasons why I love this channel is how much it changes as the seasons change. Slow and creative in the fall and winter, and fast and informed in the spring and summer.
This was such a beautiful and peaceful video from the lighting of the candles to Samantha Grace nibbling her tasty meal. I got tears in my eyes, good tears for such a precious family.
Cornish Tin Miners we’re fed on Cornish pasties with fruit in one end so they could have a meal and dessert in one while working. An extra pastie dough within the pastie kept the dessert edge separate from the meat and vegetables side.
I am intrigued by the match stick container! I’m guessing it came from a family member or from an antiquing trip. Benjamin is going to have so many stories to tell his children. Time, is truly the best gift.😊❤️🎄🐾❤️
What a lovely video. It was so relaxing to watch you share your dinner prep with us, including the harvesting and feeding the chickens, Benjamin helping you harvest, Samantha wanting to be in your arms as you were at the sink, the cutting of the veggies,... thanks so much for including us. I felt the peace of your home as I watched, and this almost felt like a gift. What a blessing to be able to watch this. I wish you and yours a blessed, peaceful, prosperous holiday season. Merry Christmas! 🎁❄🎄

The artistry of the filming and editing : stunning. The narration of this peaceful day spent with her son: heart warming and peaceful. This video is a gift from a thoughtful friend who gives from her heart. Thank you Laura and Aaron, it was absolutely beautiful!
One of my favorite lines from the movie 'Legends of the Fall,' is one of the characters saying "It fills me with such a deep, quiet satisfaction, that I thank God." That's the perfect way to describe how I feel when harvesting from my garden and spending time with my chickens.
I’ve watched the movie 40+ times and I know that line very well. Made me tear up when I heard it the first time. Gratitude all around for the countless blessings! 🙏🏻
A slice of heavenly calm during the hustle bustle of the season! I felt the world take a collective deep breath of contentment while watching, and couldn’t help but feel included in your meal. Laura, you have a true gift. Thanks for sharing with us all. 🥰🎄🥰🎄

Hi Laura and family! Your videos are my lunch time treat eat day and today's video was just what I needed to calm my wondering mind. I work in a microbiology laboratory at a hospital and our days have been stressed to the max during the pandemic. Your channel, videos, you, Aaron, Benjamin and Samantha are a bright spot in my days. Love watching you work and your family grow!
I so enjoy watching you interact with your children. The lessons that you're teaching them instilling self-confidence and a strong work ethic. Bravo 👏Parenting is a hard job, you and Aaron are doing a great job!!👍
I truly believe these videos help many learn how to interact with our children and family with gentleness, patience and kindness. It’s somehow been lost in our once beautiful country imo
Oh what a wonderful warm fuzzy. Not only the terrific video but the embracing comments. You are bringing the world together in comfort . God bless everyone. Love you all.
This was lovely, I needed a relaxing way to start my hectic workday. Thank you. I have a request: can we get a tour of your parent's farm? I have enjoyed the garden tours at your parents home, but I'm also a farm-girl at heart, living in the burbs, and would love to vicariously get back to farm life through your video expertise. Hope you and yours have a very Merry Christmas! 🎄

I love how Benjamin helps out whenever he can - that kid is going to know so much by the time he is full-time in school. Delicious homemade meal. Thanks Laura. 🙏🏻🤗🎅
I was very pleasantly surprised by the change of pace in this video. I also really enjoyed seeing the "family time" side of your life. Thank you for sharing it with us. And may I say Yum! That looked delicious!
I guess I’m the only one who had flashbacks to the old , original Martha Stewert shows! Not really for me but as they say “ you do you” Merry Christmas Laura and Aaron and family🎄
I'm not sure why I didn't see this last year, but wow, what a difference a year makes on your children. Benjamin has gotten so big as well as Samantha. The way you spoke was truly relaxing. You could be a writer with your choice of words and how you use them. Thank you for sharing your family time with us. As one lady has said, it was a gift.
I love seeing this side of Laura, as a mom and homemaker! Merry Christmas Laura, Aaron, Benjamin, Samantha Grace! Can't forget Russell and Cheddar! Your chickens look so beautiful, healthy and happy!🎄🐈❤🐈🥰👋
Lovely! I hope to have a bigger garden in the next year or so to be able to make more meals from our homegrown produce. I’m very familiar with the Cornish pasties you made! Where I grew up in northeastern MN the pasty is a traditional immigrant meal from Cornwall. The Cornish men and women brought the recipe with them when the came to work in the iron mines. They had been tin miners in Cornwall and came to America for a better life. The pasty was a common meal made for the miners with a thick edge crust to hold when they ate it. They would throw the thick crust away because it would be dirty from mine dust. It’s been years since I had a pasty! I think I’ll pick some up this Christmas when I go home to visit 😊
Today’s video was like story time. The music, your gentle voice, and the images were all so relaxing and you just wanted to hunker down and listen ever so closely. I’m quite intrigued with the single cup coffee brewing gadget. Also, loved the ‘Old Country Roses’ china cup. We didn’t pick China when we got married because I just didn’t know what I wanted. I saw the Old Country Roses pattern in a book one day and said, “this is the china pattern I see in my head”. We’ve been married almost 41 years now and I absolutely love it! Beautiful cup, beautiful family, beautiful video! Thank you for sharing it with us.
Love, love, love this video. A change up from your usual “live” presentation and I found it soooo relaxing and peaceful to watch. Laura’s voice was the most soothing it’s ever been. A great calming feeling that prepared me for my own hustle and bustle holiday preparations.
Oh, my favorite new cooking show! The wonderful music, the mix of activities/scenes, especially those of the family, and the visual tableaus made this video better than anything on tv...it was PERFECTION!! And I'm with you, Laura....I clean as I go, probably just as much because I hate just standing around waiting as because I don't want a huge mess afterward. With my ADHD, once I start a task, I know I'm better off just keeping working and finishing it, so it gets done.
I love this video that you presented to us this morning. It shows every little detail of your prep, including interaction with your children, and I loved when Samantha Grace came to you with open arms wanting to be held. It gave us a little glimpse of what your life is like when you’re not filming in the garden, it was a special Christmas gift for us! Thank you so much, and merry Christmas!
I started a small garden/container garden in my back yard during the pandemic. I grew greens, kale, tomatoes, bell peppers, cabbage, squash. My purple hull peas didn’t do too well; I will try again. I love eating from my small garden. I’m still learning. Can’t wait for next year’s garden. Thanks for this video.
You are so inspirational. After my stroke in August 2020, watching you helped me to find gardening as a tool to help me with my cognitive skills. Again…know you help many of us for many reasons…😊
Pasties are a treat, I've had them in Michigan where they are very common. A bit of history for Benjamin- pasties were eaten by coal miners since they were easy to pack for lunch and can also be eaten cold if there is no way to warm them up. I hope they turned out delicious, you can also freeze them and heat them up when you're short on time. Hope you all have a wonderful Christmas. Love from Minnesota!
This video was a present in itself. The music was calming , the chickens were fun to see. But, oh my goodness, those kiddos, sweet treat to see them smiling and happy. Also the recipie made me want to jump up and get cooking, until I remembered I don't have any of the ingredients and I don't cook.. Good try. Merry Christmas Laura and Aaron. Many blessings to you and your family
Oh my! What a beautiful video Laura! The gentleness from the music, the slow paced cooking (and I don’t even eat meat)and the calmness in your voice was an utter delight. Wishing you and your wonderful family the happiest Christmas. xxx
Your video was beautiful as was your narrative. The softness of the presentation spoke to a world at rest, without phone or distractions, and served as a gentle reminder of the beauty of life.
What beautiful memories you are giving to your children. Watching you and Benjamin walking to and from this is what occurred to me and brought a tear to my heart. I know the children will cherish these memories. I feel very fortunate as a mother of two grown girls, I made great meaningful memories that both have told me that these are their most meaningful memories. You and your husband remind me of my husband and I how you both include them in everything and the wonders of what you both do everyday. Remember this as you continue, you are doing the right things. No one's children are perfect but they will keep the good things and throw away those things that are not good as they mature. Keep up the great work and stay consistent. Thank you for sharing. Not one have been uninteresting. God bless you all.
This video is so sweet and special! Very nostalgic to me on an extra level because it takes me back to my early years on the farm. (Which, by the way, is less than 20 miles from where Laura lives). Merry Christmas 🎄 to Laura’s family and all the GA community! And many thanks for such a lovely GA offering! 🥰🎄💚💚💚
You have inspired me in bad and hard times. To energize me to get up and go things that I have not done in a while thank you again and Love to your family
What a lovely video. It was nice seeing a Cornish pastie. They were made for miners as they could hold the edge/crust with their dirty hands at lunch and throw it away. Hope ur family has a magical Christmas.
To all the GardenAnswer crew and Laura, Aaron, Benjamin and Samantha Grace I wish all of you a blessed holiday season. May God grant you all the peace and happiness you have given to all your viewers. At 75 years old I find it difficult to garden like I did when I was younger, I enjoyed spending all my free time doing just what you're doing. And like you it brought a whole lots peace to my heart and soul. Love to all of you and thank you for making my day a peaceful one (on a daily basis) 🥰🥰👵
These have been on my list to try making for ages! It’s so helpful to see someone else walk through the steps first. This was such a relaxing video. The meal looks amazing!
Merry Christmas for you and all your family Laura!!! I love the peacefulness you transmit in this video, I love the way it was made, I feel joy just by watching it :) May God bless you and your family 🙏🏻
Oh wow! Laura, this was one of my favorite videos from you. I loved every minute. Had to watch it a second time. You remind me to slow down and enjoy a peaceful day before all the festivities begin. Thank you! Merry Christmas to you and your beautiful family.
Always add greens to mine, the best veggie to eat. Thanks for the peaceful video, we have two birthdays this week besides the holiday! Wishing your family blessings in the new year.❤️
I loved this video Laura! The voiceover, music, and beautiful videography were a peaceful welcome this week of Christmas. Thanks for sharing this moment with us
This was beautiful! The quality of filming, the peaceful voice, excellent instructions, and encouragement reminded me of the Martha Stewart videos I loved years ago. I have been watching you for years and you just keep getting better!!
Very peaceful to watch! LOVE your “narrated” videos, with soft music-where we get to see you sharing your love of your family and your gardens all at once! Have a very BLESSED Christmas!
Oh I enjoyed this video so much. What a wonderful way to wake up with coffee and a beautiful video. I would enjoy seeing more of these when you feel like doing them. So beautiful to watch you and Benjamin, then Samantha and her daddy playing. Thanks for the peace you brought my morning.
I love cooking like this when I have everything I need on hand and the inspiration to try something that looks yummy. I can imagine the satisfaction it gives you when you are using everything (pretty much) that you grew or know how it was raised, too.
Laura this is such a beautiful video. It was like a storybook and you were narrating the story. Heartwarm and peaceful. You can tell you love cooking and being in the kitchen. I love seeing your dreams come to life.
Such a sweet, heartwarming glimpse into an idyllic day at your home. It was also wonderful to see a Northern Michigan staple, the pastie featured in your cooking. It has it roots feeding the copper miners of the UP. I am sure you are familiar with them from your visits to Mackinac. Feel free to load them up with filling the next time you make them and add a side of gravy.
Cornish Pasties! One of my favorites that I never make anymore! Thanks for the beautiful reminder of how easy and delicious these can be! How satisfying to use your home grown produce too! Loved the format of this video…is it easier or harder to do a video this way? Merry Christmas Laura, Aaron, Benjamin and Samantha Grace! May all your days be merry and bright, because you sure make our days that little more inspiring and joyful!
Beautifully done! Voice over and sound was perfect…I don’t know but I just loved hearing the pealing of the potatoes 🥔, well I loved all of it. Watching the children and thinking how this year has gone by so fast, feeling grateful that your videos have been here for so many reasons, not only have I learned so much, smiled, laughed at times and in full it’s been a wonderful distraction from these difficult times. Merry Christmas to you, Aaron, Benjamin, Samantha, and to your whole family. A special virtual hug and best of holidays to your wonderful Mom who when I know she’s on, it’s a guaranteed smile and laughter. 🥳 Happy New Year!
What a lovely fly on the wall-esk video! Watching you and Benjamin “shop” for ingredients was like watching you both shop at a farmers market. What a blessing!
What a nice change of pace. I liked the voice over. Probably a lot easier than working and talking at the same time. Loved Aaron playing with Samantha.
A lovely, peaceful video! My nan is from Cornwall in England so she would regularly make Cornish pasties as we were growing up. They were the best! Now she is no longer with us my dad continues the tradition and we can never visit Cornwall without getting a traditional Cornish pasty! Delicious! Wishing you all a joyful and merry Christmas! Xxx
Love love love the calming feel of this fabulous video, thanks for taking us on this journey! I will be sure to try this recipe next winter (Australia). Merry Christmas 🎄
Laura I'm surprised you peel your home grown potatoes and carrots. I would eat the skin. Beautiful crops, beautiful process, beautiful mind. Thank you for being you Laura. Do we get to hear you play a Christmas piece on the piano? With floral arrangements in the room it's authentic Garden Answer vlog. We don't even mind if your videos don't have plants in them. We just love you and your beautiful family. Merry Christmas.
Excellent production on this video! Perfect for this time of year...the smooth guitar, slow-pace focus shots and even the gentle "Good Morning!" at the beginning. Truly a Christmas pleasure to watch...not only the content but the careful crafting of a beautiful technical creation! 👍🏼👍🏼

I'm glad to hear that others enjoyed the peacefulness as did. Peace and Love to you and your family!
My thoughts exactly!
That is exactly how I felt also. Even my husband noticed how calm I was

The way you spoke was truly relaxing. You could be a writer with your choice of words and how you use them. Thank you for sharing your family time with us. As one lady has said, it was a gift.
Loving the vibe of this beautiful video. So peaceful and cosy, and a nice change of pace. Wishing your family a blessed Christmas ahead, Laura! 🎄💖
this whole video was like a giant (moving) Norman Rockwell painting... such a beautiful family... true peace on earth...
Hi Linda, how are you doing??
You must be so happy and proud that you can provide your family with a meal that is made of things you grew. That is a meal made with love ❤️.
Hi 👋 Katie how are you doing?
Merry Christmas 🎄🎁
What a perfect time for this video. Thank you Laura and Aaron for this video. Merry Christmas to you all. And thank you for coming into our lives.
What sweet, lovely, peaceful video. Delicious food from the garden, and precious children.
Terrific!
Perfect weather, narration, clips, food and company for a perfect-peaceful day. Merry Christmas Garden Answer fam🎄
Thank you, for that tip.🤗 Happy Holidays ☃️🎄🎁
Yes! My grandfather was a coal miner in Cornwall. My grandparents came to the USA and settled in the UP in Michigan.
The original hot pocket.😊
Such a wonderful way to start the day. Thank you for sharing these tender moments with us. I am so at peace after watching this.
Such a fun video, your voice over is so calming, and "spending the day" with you and your family was lovely!
What a lovely video. It was nice seeing a Cornish pastie. They were made for miners as they could hold the edge/crust with their dirty hands at lunch and throw it away. Hope ur family has a magical Christmas.
Hi 👋 Veanne how are you doing?
Merry Christmas 🎁🎄
Oh how I loved this video! Seeing the two of you gathering food from your land was so wonderful.
This should be nominated (and win) some kind of award. An outstanding artistic success.
Merry Christmas for you and all your family Laura!!! I love the peacefulness you transmit in this video, I love the way it was made, I feel joy just by watching it :) May God bless you and your family 🙏🏻
This video was just lovely! So sweet seeing you interact with the kids. And boy does that meal look delicious!!!
Hi 👋 Tracy how are you doing?
Merry Christmas 🎄🎁
Thanks for sharing this moment with us
Hi 👋 Sue how are you doing ?
Merry Christmas 🎄🎁
Hi 👋 Rachel how are you doing?
Merry Christmas 🎄🎁
What a relaxing video. I could almost smell that rosemary over the lovely vegetables. So delightful.
SUPERB VIDEO!!!! 💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗 I’m saving this one to watch anytime I need peace . It put a huge smile on my face .
Miranda you are absolutely. Anyway how are you doing??
That was beautiful! I didn't know your parents raised beef cows too. You have a wonderful family. Thank you for sharing☺️
I didn't know that either! I thought maybe I miss ed something! 😂
It’s wonderful to go shopping from your own harvest rather than the store, so much more satisfying and tastier too.
I can see this video as a beautifully illustrated children’s book! ❤️
What a nice change of pace. I liked the voice over. Probably a lot easier than working and talking at the same time. Loved Aaron playing with Samantha.
What a lovely presentation! Loved the voice over . Everything looked delicious! Happy holidays Laura, to you and your family.
Hi 👋 Caroleey how are you doing?
Merry Christmas 🎄🎁
Outdid yourself Laura. As always, love the content. Merry Christmas 🎅 🎄 to the entire family including your Mom and Dad.
Excellent production on this video! Perfect for this time of year...the smooth guitar, slow-pace focus shots and even the gentle "Good Morning!" at the beginning. Truly a Christmas pleasure to watch...not only the content but the careful crafting of a beautiful technical creation! 👍🏼👍🏼
I love everything about this video! So relaxing! And it was wonderful to see you go from harvest to table. This inspires me to slow down and enjoy my surroundings.
Perfect music and lighting for a tranquil paradise of family.♥️
