So glad theyre giving supports a way to escape stun locks. Hopefully this gets added to more of them, because sometimes supports just feel like combo practice with how few defensive and evasive measures they really have
I think the balance will break completely if more supports get this. Its functionally the same as a dodge roll since latency often means you take damage after rolling anyway.
Honestly although a select few supports could benefit from it I don’t think it would be a good idea to give it to most across the board. Majority of supports well the ones I play against always hide behind the generals which makes it hard for raid players like myself sometimes to get close and take them out. Majority of the time when I engage a support it’s usually a 2v1. Me against the support and a general so the no dodge at-least gives me a chance stunning the general taking out the support and sometimes getting out alive. Most of the time it’s a kamikaze attack taking out the support the general taking me out right after.
@Jnunez00 but at the same time a support has 0 chance against a healthy raid in a 1v1 scenario due to maneuver armor. That's just how the game is balanced. Supports can disrupt entire teams but need their team to help if someone breaches the front line. It shouldn't be easy to get to the support in the first place but between stealth suits and randoms having zero spacial awareness for the most part I think raids have the better deal. But I guess they are balancing with organized teams in mind not randoms
@avenger1_gbo260 how would it break the game balance. Supports with dodge rolls just mean that they actually have a chance to defend themselves against raids and generals. Especially at a cost like 700 where every suit has multiple stun options. Even the generals absolutely wreck supports. I'm genuinely curious because I keep seeing this statement but supports are crazy easy to kill or stun lock into being irrelevant
@@gamernick1 Many supports already have good self defence by virtue of great stun accumulation like Dag Doll, Hamma Hamma or Zssa among others. Combined with a competent team raids can have a very tough time closing in on a smart support. Now imagine if these supports had a get out of jail free card with a dodge roll if the raid manages to get through all of that. The role of raid would basically become impossible, and supports would basically transition to being generals that are slower in return for much higher firepower. I have played 700 raid a few times this morning and it is complete bullshit to be fighting a well defended FF Sazabi, more so than a properly defended regular support. I felt this same way but in reverse while I streamed playing FF this morning as well. I unironically think that double raid will become mandatory at 700 cost for serious matches.
Gouf Custom I wish they would have buffed the accumulation on the gatling but the other changes were amazing. Hyaku Shiki buffs were great. But Pixy... still a joke suit. Still only +250 HP at LV2 and still long ass reload time on uzis with less stagger value than High Boost GM.
I have been dying to get Sazabi cuz they’re my favorite MS from the OG Gundam anime and now I can possibly get a special version??!? Hell yeah!!! Edit: as I’m typing this I just got a game with one on my team… AND NOW I WANT IT MORE! Update: the banner ended and I didn’t get it, I’m sad now… Update #2: Friday, 28th of July, 2023. (( I G O T H I M ! ! ! ))
I said it before on the stream, and I'll say it again. The roll is a cool idea... but implemented on the wrong unit. If the damage was lower on this ms, I feel as if it could make for an interesting general-like support that plays with its team but doesn't kill instantly or get killed instantly by raids diving it.
the whale part is amazing although bugged desc wise it gives ranged dmg not ballistic resist this suit is also fucking nutty the dmg output is nuts also i think it can fire its pincer funnels while boosting?! it’s absolutely a monster support has balancers and two stunning weps for use boosting too so your stun rushdown option exists as well its just a beast sad u can use the moon rifle w it tho ngl but eh the shotgun does work w this version its special counter is cool but seeing this as a raid and that as a melee wep vs a counter would of also been awesome
I think the suit can be powerful, but I definitely wouldn't say overpowered imo (especially with the release of FF Nu with its heavy stagger or boost-while-fire rocket launcher). Compared to Kshatriya, it has the advantage in more CQC situations, but I feel like with the lack of binder buffers, it's actually a larger target ironically to get potentially stunlocked and shredded at range by a good raid. Kshatriya technically has less instant stuns, but it does have a heavy stagger which can come in handy against a charging raid... at least when there's enough distance between you. Furthermore, I find Kshatriya's bombard attack to be more consistent compared to FF Sazabi despite the higher damage and stagger of the latter (wider area of denial; faster lock-on; no delay after letting it out; more predictable since the lasers come out in front of you). I recently tried Dag Doll and while it doesn't have the same sustained ranged firepower of both the other suits, it's also the smallest target by fair with similar/almost superior bulk. It doesn't have a dodge roll nor an active guard move (both of whom can be rather situational really), but giving it two melee weapons (with melee controller for the saber), two instant stuns, and forced injectors lvl 2 gives it the best self-defense by far. I'd almost consider it a yellow general (almost anyway cause 700 raids can still be scum). I'd say my biggest gripe with FF Sazabi personally is that so much of its kit is tied to just the DH Funnels, so while you're using one (like the bombard or follow), you lose access to back cannons or side-lock funnels which is where many of your instant stuns come from. It's like Phenex, but that suit can afford it more for being a general with a kit so versatile, while a 700 support in general can't afford to make as many mistakes.
There were already a few supports that had the roll, cant remember the names of the units but some of them got activated after taking a certain amount of damage
the sisqued has it in its special mode stage 2 u get at low low hp u get a double dodge actually also a few supports had dodge in flight mode i think zeta c1 and rezel defenser?
Actually, it gets 25k HP, but the binder buff is just 15% back damage, and 15% legs, the latter of which is 10% lower than the regular Sazabi. And it's missing the shield, so it adds up pretty equal once you take into account the fact that you'll have type-advantage over most of the other team. Though I stayed up late to roll for it, so I don't know if the giant funnels count as part of the hitbox, sort of how the missiles are on the Prototype Stark Jegan.
reminds me of the complains when in the early stages of the game raids and generals got higher powered ranged weapons often making some of the general suits "better supports" What did Supports get again to compensate for that? Or when Raids got handed maneuver armors like in a discounter sale massively weakening one of supports main advantages (ranged suppression) In leue with your suggestion i request all supports to be generally immune to stagger/stun and only controlable by knockdown melee attacks xD Jokes aside, it does feel kinda weird to give a dodgeroll to supports who are generally extremly immobile compared to the other 2 Types, If they want to improve their survivability they should have made some new skill that is more in line with their class fantasy of walking fortress or camping sniper.
I came across a few of these sazabis with my EZZ, they were good but they were still food to me once i got closer to them but at least it has a dodge roll

Some of these new suits are getting out of hand. Don't get me wrong, it's important to cover your support, but they should know that staying behind to provide covering fire (or kill stealing) doesn't always work. Sometimes there's a good raid that knows how to flank the generals or the enemy team knows to stay out of its line of fire or the front line needs all the generals to push up ahead because they're being rushed.
