Travel to Singapore by Bus from Johor Bahru (via JB Sentral & JB CIQ)

- TRAVEL TO SINGAPORE BY BUS FROM JOHOR BAHRU
STEP-1: Malaysian Immigration checkpoint
Arrived at JB CIQ / JB Sentral, head over to the Malaysian immigration counter to check your passport. Then, walk towards the Woodlands signboard to head over to Singapore.
STEP-2: Take the bus
You'll be directed to go to the basement level where the bus station is. Find the Causeway Link bus CW1 towards Kranji MRT station. The bus ticket fee is RM2.60/adult and kids ride for free. You can pay by cash or debit card on-board. The MRT station is the perfect stop point for you to head to most hotels in Singapore as well as other attractions.
STEP-3: Arrive at Woodlands
The bus ride will take you to Woodlands, the Singaporean immigration checkpoint. The ride takes about 5 minutes. Here, you'll have to disembark to get your passport checked. Be sure to fill up the Singapore Arrival Card (SGAC) via MyICA Mobile (apps).Depending on traffic, the queue can take about 15 minutes to an hour.
STEP-4: Off to your adventures in Singapore!
Once you've passed passport control, get back on the CW1 bus. You don't need to again, just show your ticket. The bus will take you to Kranji MRT where you can start your adventure in Singapore.

hi, i have a question, if we are not malaysian or singaporean, do we go to malaysia immigration lane just like at 10:30? for passport checking? or is there different counter for non malaysian and singaporean passport?

Yes there is another counter/lane to clear, next to it.
Please check with Malaysia Imigration to further confirm.

In the description it says you should take bus CW1 from JB Sentral to Singapore Immigration if you want to go to Kranji MRT. You've boarded bus CW5 (if I saw it correct at 14:08), so my question: for the first leg, from JB Sentral to Woodlands Immigration point, can you take any CW busnumber going to Singapore immigration or should you take the CW bus that is going to your planned destination, meaning if you plan to go to Kranji MRT, do you have to board the CW1 already in JB Sentral?
CW5 route is ''JB Custom to Newton Circus" officially and Kranji MRT is part of the route journey
CW1 route is "JB Custom to Kranji MRT" only
In the video, I did ask the CW5 driver to confirm support going to Kranji MRT destination 🤔

Will it be ok if I want to cross border between Johor Bahru to SG everyday for 4 days because I have to attend The Eras Tour in SG but cannot find hotel in SG (sold out) and I’m planning to stay at Johor Bahru instead.
Its common to cross border if u don't mind the hassle & travelling time. Try look out hotel near CIQ JB (eg. Holiday Inn JB), walking distance near Customs or in JB town (take Grab).
For payment on the CW1 bus can you use cash ? Or ezlink?

you don't need to pay online. just go to the terminal. the problem is the long queue of passengers.

1-2 hours depending peak or non-peak hours during the border crossing. 🤔

Bus #170, #160, #950 also in the same basement as CW1 in JB CIQ but to reach the bus bay, you need to u-turn after getting down of the escalator instead of going straight as in this video.
