Thanks CK. I’m a new subs. Ben watching your video’s. They are great. For this one, appreciated the details you presented clearly: the website, the info of online booking vs at the counter, refund policy and where the MRT are to take. As foreigners we dont know where and which MRT to take from in S’pore. Much appreciated. Greetings.
Thank u @@CKology , I will travel SG on New year I am from KL working foreigner. , as I watched ur video from woodsland mrt->bus 856/856A going to Woodsland checkpoint-> train to JB sentral. May I ask where will be the clearing in both immigration (MY and SG ) happen? Is it at Woodsland checkpoint?
Hi CK, thanks for sharing! Is it luggage friendly here? I usually travel with a luggage with me. I hate crossing the border via bus. I remember when I crossed the border during SG50 and it took 8 hours to cross the border lol. That was dumb of me back then. I didn't know how to plan my itinerary huhu. Anyway, thanks again!
We caught the KTM Train last time.... this time I have ordered bus seats from Expo MRT Station.... supposedly it takes 1hr 18mins from there, to JB Sentral..... lets cross our fingers for that!!!! LOL
Thank you so much! I have silly question I like collecting physical tickets from around the world is it possible to print my online purchased ticket from the train station ?
I could have used this 2 days ago... Went to JB Sentral to check on tickets and a Sunday trip was sold out. Too many Singaporeans going north. So make your reservations WAY in advance, especially if you are going on a weekend. Not sure why they do limited seating? Everyone gets a seat? Why not just a subway train where you can stand, going back/forth every 15 mins? Pack the train! It's a 5 min trip. We had a flight to catch from SIN-SFO on Monday. We finally just paid for a private car last minute at $70 USD. It was door-to-door so that was nice. Driver recommended we leave before 8:30am if we didn't want to spend 3 hours in a Sunday queue at the border. Our trip, dtd, was just over 1 hour, which was great! We had to be in SIN for our flight.😢 Now I know to book train tickets far in advance. The bus is good if you don't mind queuing in SIN and have little or no luggage.
Thanks for this insightful video. Travelling with elderly with slightly difficulty with walking... based on your experience , will it be difficult for them? Thx
Hi I am from Germany Europe I will make 2 weeks travel holidays in Malaysia with rental car. I will let the rental car in JB in a hotel where I will stay. I am planing to see Singapore 2 - 3 days by using the KTM train for 3 daily trips. I mean morning from JB start to Singapore and evening back for sleeping in hotel in JB. ( because I don't want to drive every time with the rental car this way to Singapore . So do you think it is working with out a problem? I think there will be no problem with visa? ❤❤❤❤
I think closing the line into Tj. Pagar was really short sighted and a victim of toxic politics rather than pragmatism. The line should have been retained and upgraded as part of KTM east coast line upgrade so there could have been regular ETS train service right into Singapore CBD, with Singapore and JB sharing high frequency KTM Komuter service like in KL (eventually KTM could even have introduce electric commuter services on the Tj Pelepas freight line, and had a spur coming off down to Tuas 2nd link and meeting up with the MRT at Tuas Link). It really is absurd that getting between SG and JB is still a slow, disjointed process with unintegrated CIQ arrangements. The journey should be completely seamless
Weekday expect up to 2 hours, weekend and peak hours could be up to 6 hours for bus and car (taxi). For train you only lining up with the same passengers hence it takes only 20 mins max.
