This was a lot of fun looking at some really bad grappling, and now I want to watch more anime. Thanks for having me on, Ed! I appreciate it and had a blast!

I'm a little late leaving a comment on this one, but thanks for the video. I love these ones where you break down fighting techniques in anime, and I love that you got someone else to go through it with you. A lot of fun.
In watching your cuts on the Naruto one, after the silat style sweep, there is a quick shot of a face kick. It's a really quick shot, go in slooooowwwww moooooo. How that happens idk (ninja stuff), but that's how the leg was over for the armbar. Cool video
I don't think I will ever have the confidence to introduce anime to another grown adult that I haven't been friends with for a while. There's just too much weird stuff that you gloss over as a fan that other might judge you for.
What kind of close minded friends do you hangout with? It’s really common for people to be into nerdy stuff regardless of what background they came from.
@@MrAllmightyCornholioz I'm fine with sharing a lot of other nerdy things but if its going to be an anime I want to vet it ahead of time to make sure I didn't gloss over something that may reflect badly on me that I may have ignored because I like the show. Anime and manga have a really bad habit of sexualizing minors and I don't exactly want to hand a show over to a person that respects me only for it to contain overt instances of that kind of sick "fan service".
Hey Ed, I know its a shot in the dark but could you check out Vincent Tseng "Wandering Warrior?" Hes a kung fu combat guy back from Taiwan and his viewers are trying to get a collaboration going. I think itd be cool to do some Northern Shaolin Longfist. Maybe a "Fight Like A Firebender" video 🤞
Look very carefully. That wasnt his leg...but his arm!. The enemy initially struck downward hard enough to go through the ground, and his hand was stuck. Thats when Sasuke did an arm takedown(not leg). Its hard to tell from that frame they had but look at the color of the shirt sleeve and pant leg.
Just about every form of kickboxing uses the takedown Batman uses but you'd need to have superhero strength to stay on your feet once you get them over halfway through the arc.
If someone pulls guard like on that "The Simpsons" episode, I'll just walk away in the same way that I would from someone who is cognitively challenged. Jesse Enkamp perfectly showed how ridiculous that is. And so did the recent One FC fight between the nak muay and the BJJ guy. Just stand up ... They look freaking ridiculous 🙃

It's good to see you back making new content. Bring on the good vibes.

Yeah... you have to be selective otherwise you're in trouble lol

@MrAllmightyCornholioz I know some people would definitely not be in to it. But that's ok - but most people I show I pick the best of the best 🤣

There is another scene in AOT where erin catches the armored titan in a guillotine that is pretty solid
It's on the list for the next one - I think it's shortly after this sequence in the same fight
i dig the backround music (DBGT)
Thanks!!
You should take a look at agito vs okubo from kengan asura, its one of the best anime fights imo
It's on the list for next time!

Brother please breakdown kakashi hatake fighting style 😊
That would be fun!

Yeah I think it's the angle that batman does it that's so weird

Pulling guard without a connection is problematic
