Such a bizarre fight for sure. Vanilla Undertale may have been scary, but it was for more of the shock value than anything. THIS however feels like it went out of its way to mess with you. That stare at the audience was unbelievably menacing.
Fr, it’s oddly my favorite “ending”/fight because it does put into perspective how strong determination is, this was from a time FLOWEY was in absolute control, it was HIS world to manipulate before Frisk fell into the underground.
I was honestly half expecting him to directly call out the player like he does after each Undertale ending, and his decision to reset being based on the fact that he realizes their existence and that he can't win as long as they're "playing". Lol
17:16 Pacifist: Ceroba's Memories Genocide: Martlet's Memories Neutral: Flowey's Memories Every route always has at least one sequence where you go through the memories of the person you're fighting against. *That's clever...*
then there's Flowey since the fight took place entirely inside his head Clover just wander far enough to see -Asriel- his memories perhaps flowey want clover to witness them who know?
I like how it gives the impression that he is weaker than Omega Flowey, with less projectiles on screen, because he has less souls, but still just as hard and creepy
@@masterpiece8846Pretty sure all human souls have determination. (This is canon to undertale.) Clover has it, just less than Flowey. (That is what the game is sort of implying, I think.)
@@TheVillainousSoulyeah, all humans have determination, but the being with the most of it (in this case Flowey since he has pure determination inside of him) can control the timeline, spoilers for genocide, but for example, after killing Martlet Flowey no longer has access to the save files since Clover is too determined to complete their goal
@@Roman-ik3cfI don't think it's determination in Geno. Clover's sense of Justice overpowers Flowey's determination. I think that's what happened because the save point didn't mention anything about determination but did say something about "it fills you with justice" or smth along those lines
It's like a dark, fucked up version of flowey haha. Just a glimpse into his dark reality. A full stare into his twisted perspective would make most simply go insane lmao
I think it applies even more since your body straight up doesn't exist. Like in most depictions of Undertale fights, the soul is outside of the player character, and I assume they control the soul telepathic-like. However this time, you are literally inside of Flowey's mind, taking the perspective of the soul that has been shaped into their former vessel. (I don't know how to explain it but I feel like the soul / body relationship is a weird mixture of real world brains and hypothetical souls / ghosts) Since you are the soul with the memories, and presumably consciousness, you *really* want to scream or cry because it's hard wired into you after YEARS of having necessary parts to achieve those goals, but your soul lacks those parts. Even if it did, Flowey would probably rewind time every time you try, with your memories of the failed attempt being intact since again, you are a part of him now. TL;DR - This is a worse fate than hell itself.
Fun Fact: On my first playthrough of Yellow, I didn't know how to spare Microfroggit so I killed him by using stomp For the entire rest of the run I thought I was playing pacifist bc nothing felt like it changed to me. How wrong I was. Ended up fighting this freak of nature.
It’s depressing that martlet thinks you betrayed her when she dies, literally adding insult to injury. Also I find it funny that it’s impossible to kill martlet, as she runs away when her hp gets to low. Yet the pacifist endings are the only ones she survives in.
Undertale Yellow devs casually saving their most insane, creative boss fight for the neutral route instead of pacifist or geno Really, this fight shows that those 7 years of development got put to good use
Neutral is so underrated and deserves better, I bet they liked the idea of even the smallest changes making big impacts which is why EVERYTHING you do for neutral run is accounted for in this fight, killed an enemy? they show up as an attack, aborted your run then continued it later? Intro dialoug changed, never saved? Different text, everything.
@@taraktaras7327Flowey really made me feel it with killed opponents showing up in his fight. My Neutral run was me killing every opponent I encountered (unless I backtracked) while making my way to the final boss. Really enforcing "you reap what you sow" If I do another run I'm probably just gonna step on a micro froggit or something and see where that goes
SPOILER If you decide not to spare Ceroba at the end of a pacifist run, you do not get this neutral ending but get to Asgore instead. Giving up on their principals of justice, Clover just gives up. Not gonna spoil any further but probably it's the most disappointing ending even though it's quite fitting.
@@michaelvanhout7614 spoiler I just thing that ending was way undercooked. I would have liked an impossible Agore fight but still a real fight. But I wanted an Asgore fight in geno too but I just never get what I wish with Asgore huh.
I love both phases of this fight; phase 1's attacks look like stuff you'd see in black space, and phase 2 is just uncanny and disturbing the whole way through. my favorite of the final bosses
Imo the second phase is kinda unnecessary imo. The first one is more disturbing, and the second one is sorta just omega flowey but better. I like it a lot, don't get me wrong here. Maybe it is because the music doesn't fit? The artwork and designs are masterful, though. Nm, I guess the second phase is disturbing in a less subtle way?
@@daniellejackson6543 Eh I get what you mean but it's trademark for all three true endings (true neutral, genocide and pacifist) to have a fase with dashes and the yellow soul type. And the music is on point IMO and what did you want out of second phase flowey? You can only really do so much with a flowey boss without a soul and I think they settled for something incredible.
this is the single most creative boss fight in the game and i absolutely adore it all of the artists deserve massive props for all of the spritework in this fight!
At first I was thinking "how is flowey with one soul just as if not stronger than flowey with seven souls???" Then I remembered clover is technically kinda dead, and then he dropped that it was all in his mind

I accidentally got the neutral ending after messing up at the last possible part for geno. I was pissed initially but then actually really enjoyed the neutral ending
Funnily enough tho, with the route I took Axis used the trashcan lid shield for himself which resulted in the different attack pattern, but Flowey used the normal Axis pattern instead (also Axis gets unique humorous dialogue for the failed geno route, where he just ends up getting tired which let's you beat him)
@@kreatona4219 oh yeah, I do love how detailed this fangame is! I would try to go for the most neutral out (geno till the last possible point) but i’d hate to fight Ceroba again (my most hated fight because I heavily dislike taking away max hp just to make it more artificially difficult)
You wouldn’t expect the neutral route to be the best ending in the game, but here we are. This is such a unique and interesting fight and isn’t too difficult either (while still being a good challenge at the same time)
I love it how flowey litterally absorbs you so he can turn your reality into a psychotic schizophrenic demon monster and gives you the most banger bossfight and theme, only to end with “make better decisions dipshit ;)” edit: ty for 500 likes, its getting close to valentines day, so if your watching this close to or on valentines day, Happy valentines day! @@PhilAndMindFunny thing is, Clover would've never thought to absorb Asgore's soul unless Flowey didn't tell them about it being possible That and Clover couldn't save without LV 20, since they don't have as much determination
@@PEARLSTOTHEPLAYERS(spoilers) flowey’s dead at the end of genocide, which makes clover the being with the greatest amount of determination in the underground, therefore, they are able to save at the end of genocide
essay comment warning, i'm just very passionate about this this is without a doubt the best fan game undertale has ever seen. i've seen all three videos now and each ending is absolutely incredible. this is also the first time i have ever seen undertale presented with a psychological horror genre. i'm sure there are some other ones out there, but this one completely sells the effect on an entirely new level. one very good way to cause disturbance to the player is to throw them into a style unseen anywhere else in the game, and this fight does that perfectly this route imagines flowey the way i think he was intended to be in the original game, except to a much more extreme level. with his ability to bend reality and his twisted ideals, he was very much capable of much more than the omega flowey we see in undertale. this whole battle sequence captures the essence of his character and the effects he has on the player better than i think anyone could have. so much effort was put into each of the endings, but this one stands out to me so much. paying attention to the style changes and animations helped me really appreciate the artwork done for and the passion and creativity put into the game i am actually so happy that we finally get to see this kind of intense representation of a character in an undertale fan game, and like i said, flowey is just perfect for it. again, maybe it was done elsewhere before, but i doubt to this level of quality. undertale fan games are usually too bound by the pixel art aesthetic that we never get to see anything close to this. absolutely insane experience and i really wanna watch it again now i hope toby fox is very proud of his fan base
Thanks to this fangame I realized how much I liked Flowey as a character in Undertale, and in UT Yellow I got even more attached to him! I just finished the neutral ending a few minutes ago after doing pacifist and genocide, and it's definitely my favorite ending. It was so intense, it was a perfect ending for Flowey. I loved every second of it.
I DIDN’T EXPECT YOU TO ACTUALLY POST THE NEUTRAL ROUTE/ENDING TO RUclips THIS IS AMAZING AND YOU ARE AMAZING SHAYY HAVE THE BEST HOLIDAY SEASON OF YOUR LIFE
First off, HOLY FUCK. This is INCREDIBLE. Second, its absolutely genius to make the neutral ending like this. Since most people who play this fangame will have already played undertale, they will already be going for pacifist and genocide. So giving neutral something THIS amazing to encourage people to both encourage people to play it, AND give neutral something interesting compared to the other two routes, is genius.
Most importantly, it gives Flowey the spotlight he deserves, with his manipulation going full throttle starting from the switch. He's ALWAYS in control here ever since the start (except Geno but Geno seems like a worst case scenario in favour of Clover and is highly implausible)
For both regular undertale and undertale yellow, I killed the monsters who made me the angriest. Sir Slither and Axis can go die in a hole. (Only enemies I died more than once to)
Do you have a link to that video, by any chance? I've been looking for documented differences in a run where the genocide route is aborted in the Steamworks (via failing to reach the kill count)
Just saw your comment, in Mystic Slimes stream he did neutral ending first, but within a genocide run up to before the end. I started the timestamp right before this point m.ruclips.net/user/liveJwJg10GBCK8?si=qsYMq0DM-eyP2T9C&t=14451
Saving what is arguably the best final boss in the game for the neutral endings was a nice move on the UY team's part. Gives us motivation to try the neutral routes.
I saved Genocide for last and I must say, not doing genocide makes Martlet dying, after she and Clover were just gonna just live together just hide away was heart wrenching and deeply makes me with we would obliterate that damn flower. I understand WHY it isn't that way but still. It's even worse considering Martlet died thinking we betrayed her.
Man, the Flowey fight in the Neutral route was the coolest one in the whole game for me! It was a mix of cool, surreal, and terrifying, and the battle music and art styles are awesome! It's a perfect way to show Flowey's true self: maniacal, heartless, and deceiving.
The fact that the fight remembers who you killed in the neutral run is so wild and such a great detail. It’s almost like flowey’s taunting you for what you did!
There’s actually alternate dialogue to that introduction scene with Martlet and Flowey that Cibles found through doing a neutral ending after getting to the Steamworks on genocide then not finishing the job In this one Martlet is more certain that you’ll kill her and Flowey believes that he got to her first
I love the way this encounter really gives you that disturbing feeling of not being the most determined being in the underground. Facing a more determined foe, especially one as malicious a Flowey is pretty terrifying because of how utterly hopeless and out of control you feel. Makes me wonder what it was like for the monsters who fight Frisk in UT, especially on the genocide route.
if you actually wait for toriel after falling in that other ruins part she actually comes back, but the game just resets which, after seeing floweys rambling about clover staying with tori or dying in the normal underground route makes much more sense now
I adore the team having those 7 years of work making the Flowey hard looks disturbing and unsettling to fight, the music here also goes really hard, breakcore does work wonders
Fun fact: the “What would you like to do?” And “great!” Voice clips are sampled from the same McDonalds commercial as “That’s a wonderful idea!” Flowey is consistently voiced by Ronald McDonald.
Yup, the trauma attacks are pretty and really clever But i'd guess it has something related to labs or something as the songs names are called "Clay, organic, paper." Maybe Subject Flowey or Mass Flowey.
Man, looking back at this really makes me realize how damn well the UT Yellow team knew Flowey. Like, his demo dialogue felt very in-character for how a pre-insanity Flowey would talk, and while his Pacifist dialogue is still a little too soft to really feel like Flowey, that’s just because that ending is so sad, they couldn’t just have Flowey go “Clovar, I remember you’re really are an idiot”. But in Geno (having not done or watched Geno due to emotional attachment) and especially Neutral, he is so especially Flowey that it’s understandable to forget that this is a fangame. Like, I love Yellow, but playing it always had an aura of “Too good for Undertale”, ya know? Like, Undertale is great, but it tried to feel authentic to its inspirations, with very well done sprites in a very minimal way, and I feel it really pays off. Yellow looks amazing, but I feel like everything past The Dark Ruins doesn’t *feel* Undertaley, ya know? Like, Ceroba’s sprites alone have more detail in them than like half of Undertale’s sprites combined. But, like, Flowey just feels so especially Flowey, he somehow feels more like Flowey than Undertale Flowey does. Yellow is so great at feeling like it’s set in the Undertale universe, but it’s not very good at feeling like it’s a Toby Fox game. But Flowey is just so perfectly done that every time the game feels like it’s lost its footing he’ll just pop up and you’ll go “Oh look, it’s Flowey!” and it’ll just feel like you got sucked right back into Undertale.
Wait, I just realized I don’t think Flowey ever does the Asriel face in Yellow (Again, outside of Geno because although I’ve been spoiled on some aspects of Geno because internet, I don’t know everything about it), which implies he only did it to torment Frisk (Who he states in Pacifist he assumed was the first Fallen Human because they both had red souls and because Frisk decided to RP as them for like all of Undertale for an undisclosed reason)
I think one problem with the perception of the game is that too often people will try to compare it to the inspirations of the original and take points off for not being as authentic or simple in parts, when in reality it should just stand on its own as a game. While I think the original Undertale is great as a story and obviously is the reason this exists, too many people kind of got caught up in pointing out how it's not a "Toby Fox" game when, in reality, it shouldn't be, cause that's the bane of a lot of other fangames. Sure same universe, but the differences are supposed to make you enjoy the game on its own (and to this day a Toby Fox game is still only defined as 1.5 games to the point where I think even he'd have trouble defining what constitutes such a description) tl;dr it is in our human nature to compare but sometimes it's just best and infinitely more fun to experience all the stuff people can make, which is what this ending is a really good example of
@@sagaositygamez785 I’m okay with it being unique, but A. If they want the artstyle to be unique, then either redraw the old characters or don’t use them at all. There’s a scene where Martlet interacts with Alphys with her 2 frames of animation and 4 colors and then Martlet does a 4k 60FPS head turn as if those two fit together, and B. If they want the games set in the same world then *don’t make the worlds incompatible* . In Undertale, The Underground has no weather, as Alphys says. However, Undertale Yellow still descibes how The Underground’s weather works in great detail. In Undertale, Mettaton barely gets a dozen views on a good day, and one of them is Papyrus who just always has his TV on, but in Undertale Yellow, he’s world famous and is mentioned in both Snowdin and The Wild East. If the Toy Gun and Six Shooter accept anything as ammo, why doesn’t Frisk just load them? There’s a lot mpre examples of this, but RUclips crashed and I don’t wanna retype my whole comment, but still, the point stands that these two games “set in the same universe” have fundamentally different universes. If I’m supposed to get immersed, why have every other room break my immersion. If Flowey wasn’t there, then it’d be a fun standalone project, and if Flowey was there more, it’d be a fun and more convincing Undertale fangame, but they take Flowey away from you _JUST_ often enough for the game to feel like it’s shackled itself to Undertale with no intent to follow up on it. Plus, my main problem isn’t just that it “didn’t feel like Undertale”, it’s that is didn’t feel like Undertale _Yellow_ . Nothing that was set up in the demo was acted upon, they changed everyhting to fit the new lore, there’s tons of places where you’re supposed to just look at the pretty pictures and ignore the game being a buggy mess that the game wouldn’t’ve been if it had been more like the demo, which, given what a demo is, or at least should be, they should’e done. If Undertale Yellow were released in full right now with the demo having been indicitive of the final game (which, yes, the Snowdin trailer from a year after launch shows of Ceroba’s mask, so they DEFINETLY had the “plot” planned out that far in advance), or even if they had just said “Hey, this game is gonna be a bit different than we planned, but we hope you enjoy it regardless”, or at least had done SOMETHING to indicate that the game had changed or that The Ruins aren’t at all similar to anything else in the game despite arguably being the best part of the game, it would’ve been a much better game IMO.
honestly i never thought i'd experience another boss battle as unexpected and disturbing as the original omega flowey fight. i was even spoiled for this one, although it was just one image of the second phase, and there was still so much to this fight that surprised me. the weird flowey sprites during phase one, the creepy interlude with asriel's memories and martlet melting, to the multiple different artstyles of phase two all just made this the coolest and most terrifying bossfight i've ever played.
Haven't even watched the video (don't worry, I will, I just have to get done watching the Pacifist run video) but I'd just like to thank Shayy for realizing the thumbnail was a spoiler and changing it. Mad respect, stay determined Shayy.
9:09 oh look it’s me Also I genuinely love how different each boss is from the other at the end of each run, really spices things up. Can’t wait to do this fight myself Edit: another thing I find interesting is flowey’s opinion towards you in each respective ending since in geno: he outright hates you. Neutral: indifferent, negative leaning towards you. Pacifist: somewhat likes you, well enough to call you a friend anyways
clover: **suffocating in an unimaginable nightmare that could only be described as hell itself, fighting with every last drop of the power drained from their being for the life they've already lost** clover: 16:10
Undertale Yellow does explain why Flowey is so violent right off the bat when Frisk arrives he's so pissed off his last plan failed also it's kinda messed up that Marlet would consider you a threat even if you killed ONE of the robots that attacked with the intent of killing you in the first place
Okay, I said on the Genocide Ending video that the Genocide Route gave you the best ending in this game... After watching this, I can now say confidently that the Neutral Ending is definitely the "bad ending" of this game, after watching all that horror Clover went through... Also, great video!
My favourite thing about all this might be that it feels like it recontexualises the omega flowey fight. This is what it looks like when a soul fights back against the monster that absorbs it, and in that fight you manage to convince all 6 souls to fight back while still fighting yourself, which finally lets you win
Honestly i think that this ending is actually the coolest one. I wonder if they worked on it last cause every bit of that boss fight was polished for maximum creepiness.
24:14 I would like to point out that I first thing Flowey does in this fight is try to shot you point blank. Plus, unlike most of this fight, it’s scripted. Meaning Flowey immediately shoots a child in every timeline.
"hes the one who made us fall down" if youre talking about flowey knocking the justice soul down, he went there by himself out of curiousity because of a missing poster and you can see at the start cutscene
17:04 that flowey sprite is HAUNTINGLY familiar, it looks almost identical to help_tale flowey's sprite, which if you didn't know is based heavily around the amalgamates, so all those melted/disformed floweys, the fact he repeats help me multiple times, the haunting music and the part where martlet melts all remind me of help_tale (it's a very cool concept of an au that has been long forgotten so if you don't know what I mean that's completely understandable)
13:23 It remebers EVERYTHING I had Dalv, el bailador, Axis, guardener and almost every other boss except for starlo and the frogs. The intro also changes depending on what you do, my version never had any of the backstory stuff, it just said that he knew that Clover was fierce enough to outlast asgore and some other stuff. Nvm it's also in this video but I swear basically everything else is different.
I didnt even realize that the first phase of this fight would remember and attack you with the bosses you killed because i never did kill any of them on my first playthrough. This game just keeps surprising me!
I'd like to mention the CREEPINESS that went into making Floweys theme here. It makes you think that its JUST a remake of Your Best Friend, however, Best Friends Forever (the theme) makes it clear that something is quite wrong and the creepy music before the TRUE battle begins is the exact thing that makes it work. Also that and during Floweys second phase he stares at Clovers soul, Justice.
All right, after being spoiled on like 3 different Meta Flowey sprites by RUclips thumbnails, I loaded up the Save Editor someone made (because of course they did), set my story progress to Pre-Axis, and then (because the Save Editor template had already used the computer to disable all of the robots) “killed” Axis. I really liked all of the Flowey stuff, but I just have to ask: WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT!? WHY DID THAT HAPPEN!? WHY DID I ONLY GET A CHECKPOINT AFTER TAKING OUT FOUR META PETALS!? WHY DOES META FLOWEY TURN HIMSELF INTO DIFFERENT ART STYLES!? WHY DOES HE TURN INTO A DAMN SEE N’ SAY AND ASK “What would you like to do?” WHEN SELECTING A META PETAL!? WHY CAN YOU DASH OUTSIDE OF THE SHOOTER SEGMENTS!? WHY DOESN’T THE GAME TELL YOU YOU CAN DASH OUTSIDE OF THE SHOOTER SEGMENTS!? WHY DID MARTLET MELT!? WHY WAS SHE A BOWLING BALL FOR A FRAME!? WHY DOES SPECIFICALLY THE POLY PETAL HAVE 3 TARGETS INSTEAD OF 2!? WHY IS HIS ONLY WAY TO CHANGE BULLET PATTERNS PHYSICALLY MUTALATING HIMSELF!? 31:11 Also, THANK YOU, Shayy. I died ALMOST EXCLUIVELY to Poly Petal. Why is Poly Petal specifically hard? Like, there’s giant -Petally- Legally Distinct Full-Body Floweys (Is that the plural of Flowey?) that also block shots AND it’s the only phase to have more than 2 targets AND there’s also additional bullets that HURT YOU when you shoot them for some reason.
The thing about this fight is that unlike the Omega Flowey fight, Flowey here is all bark and no bite. He literally cannot kill you. When you are down to zero HP, you simply break out of the vines and are good to go again. This is all mind games, trying to get you to give up, because Flowey in this state doesn't have much real power, despite having more determination than Clover.
Holy shit Flowey actually shows the fact that little children were MURDERED in Undertale and with Flowey being in control, they were having their WORST NIGHTMARE Like bro "Clover would like to cry but they have no eyes" sounds really unsettling considering the fact that Clover is somewhere around 8 YEARS OLD.
2:16 Whats interesting is depending on how many monsters you kill in the neutral route your 2 options here are different. Instead of "…" and "…Okay" Your options are > Sure > …Okay Just a neat tidbit I noticed after doing the neutral route as my first play-through
i feel like the only con about this ending is that the main attacks for "photoshop'nt flowey" are a bit not overwhelming/chaotic enough thats really just my only gripe, everything else is FANTASTIC!
I think I enjoy voice acting Flowey just a little bit.

Such a bizarre fight for sure. Vanilla Undertale may have been scary, but it was for more of the shock value than anything. THIS however feels like it went out of its way to mess with you. That stare at the audience was unbelievably menacing.
I agree and this is probably one of the best Undertale fan games I’ve ever played
That stare at the audience well and properly disturbed me.
Fr, it’s oddly my favorite “ending”/fight because it does put into perspective how strong determination is, this was from a time FLOWEY was in absolute control, it was HIS world to manipulate before Frisk fell into the underground.
This is such a good boss fight. Loved and feared all of the different phases
I was honestly half expecting him to directly call out the player like he does after each Undertale ending, and his decision to reset being based on the fact that he realizes their existence and that he can't win as long as they're "playing". Lol

I like how it gives the impression that he is weaker than Omega Flowey, with less projectiles on screen, because he has less souls, but still just as hard and creepy
He’s weaker than his omega variant, but still stronger than Clover. Although He doesn’t have any human souls yet, Clover doesn’t have Determination
@@masterpiece8846Pretty sure all human souls have determination. (This is canon to undertale.)
Clover has it, just less than Flowey. (That is what the game is sort of implying, I think.)
@@TheVillainousSoul yeah, determination is a physical property of all human souls, like how monster souls are made entirely of magic.
#Evil #Destroyr #Manipulation😈😈😈😈
This is probably one of the few times this copypasta could actually apply to a character
(I don't know how to explain it but I feel like the soul / body relationship is a weird mixture of real world brains and hypothetical souls / ghosts)
Since you are the soul with the memories, and presumably consciousness, you *really* want to scream or cry because it's hard wired into you after YEARS of having necessary parts to achieve those goals, but your soul lacks those parts. Even if it did, Flowey would probably rewind time every time you try, with your memories of the failed attempt being intact since again, you are a part of him now.
TL;DR - This is a worse fate than hell itself.

essay comment warning, i'm just very passionate about this
this is without a doubt the best fan game undertale has ever seen. i've seen all three videos now and each ending is absolutely incredible. this is also the first time i have ever seen undertale presented with a psychological horror genre. i'm sure there are some other ones out there, but this one completely sells the effect on an entirely new level. one very good way to cause disturbance to the player is to throw them into a style unseen anywhere else in the game, and this fight does that perfectly
this route imagines flowey the way i think he was intended to be in the original game, except to a much more extreme level. with his ability to bend reality and his twisted ideals, he was very much capable of much more than the omega flowey we see in undertale. this whole battle sequence captures the essence of his character and the effects he has on the player better than i think anyone could have. so much effort was put into each of the endings, but this one stands out to me so much. paying attention to the style changes and animations helped me really appreciate the artwork done for and the passion and creativity put into the game
i am actually so happy that we finally get to see this kind of intense representation of a character in an undertale fan game, and like i said, flowey is just perfect for it. again, maybe it was done elsewhere before, but i doubt to this level of quality. undertale fan games are usually too bound by the pixel art aesthetic that we never get to see anything close to this. absolutely insane experience and i really wanna watch it again now
i hope toby fox is very proud of his fan base
Thanks to this fangame I realized how much I liked Flowey as a character in Undertale, and in UT Yellow I got even more attached to him! I just finished the neutral ending a few minutes ago after doing pacifist and genocide, and it's definitely my favorite ending. It was so intense, it was a perfect ending for Flowey. I loved every second of it.

I too would like to profess my fondness for that particular statement
First off, HOLY FUCK.
This is INCREDIBLE.
Second, its absolutely genius to make the neutral ending like this.
Since most people who play this fangame will have already played undertale, they will already be going for pacifist and genocide.
So giving neutral something THIS amazing to encourage people to both encourage people to play it, AND give neutral something interesting compared to the other two routes, is genius.
Most importantly, it gives Flowey the spotlight he deserves, with his manipulation going full throttle starting from the switch.
He's ALWAYS in control here ever since the start (except Geno but Geno seems like a worst case scenario in favour of Clover and is highly implausible)
this is why im so glad i stayed off one specific path. actually did what i felt like and got a cool af reward.
For both regular undertale and undertale yellow, I killed the monsters who made me the angriest. Sir Slither and Axis can go die in a hole. (Only enemies I died more than once to)

There’s actually alternate dialogue to that introduction scene with Martlet and Flowey that Cibles found through doing a neutral ending after getting to the Steamworks on genocide then not finishing the job
In this one Martlet is more certain that you’ll kill her and Flowey believes that he got to her first
I love the way this encounter really gives you that disturbing feeling of not being the most determined being in the underground. Facing a more determined foe, especially one as malicious a Flowey is pretty terrifying because of how utterly hopeless and out of control you feel. Makes me wonder what it was like for the monsters who fight Frisk in UT, especially on the genocide route.
if you actually wait for toriel after falling in that other ruins part she actually comes back, but the game just resets
which, after seeing floweys rambling about clover staying with tori or dying in the normal underground route makes much more sense now
Also he shows up for like a split second before it's reset.

@@saiyanfang1047 I mean, Flowey _technically_ only has one SOUL in this fight, even if Clover is rebelling against him.
Sure same universe, but the differences are supposed to make you enjoy the game on its own (and to this day a Toby Fox game is still only defined as 1.5 games to the point where I think even he'd have trouble defining what constitutes such a description)
tl;dr it is in our human nature to compare but sometimes it's just best and infinitely more fun to experience all the stuff people can make, which is what this ending is a really good example of
@@sagaositygamez785 I’m okay with it being unique, but
A. If they want the artstyle to be unique, then either redraw the old characters or don’t use them at all. There’s a scene where Martlet interacts with Alphys with her 2 frames of animation and 4 colors and then Martlet does a 4k 60FPS head turn as if those two fit together, and

Yeah, I can see what you mean. The forms of some of the monsters that return in this fight feel like they'd be right at home in help_tale too.
Yeah that too
which makes a lot of sense considering his origins you know
Considering the setting is the culmination of memories from innumerable timelines, the resemblance is quite fitting.
just found out that martlet's portrait is missing when you meet her again in snowdin, which means that fucking flower fooled you.
13:23
It remebers EVERYTHING
I had Dalv, el bailador, Axis, guardener and almost every other boss except for starlo and the frogs.
The intro also changes depending on what you do, my version never had any of the backstory stuff, it just said that he knew that Clover was fierce enough to outlast asgore and some other stuff.
Nvm it's also in this video but I swear basically everything else is different.
9:12 actually made me jump a little
Good job to the sprite artists that shit's terrifying 10/10
You killed Axis, starlo and guardner, you fool, I KILLED CEROBA.
Flowey Phase 1 gets a new attack for every miniboss/boss you've killed. I made the mistake of killing that dancer dude & his face is HORRIFYING.
Shayy: Realises it gives you a turn fighting everyone you've killed
Me, who did an aborted genocide: YOU GOTTA BE KIDDING ME
How was Ceroba?
Didn't appear
thats the name of the track agter martlet dies! you gotta be kidding me
I like how Floweys eyes follow you in the photoshopnt flowey fight
I didnt even realize that the first phase of this fight would remember and attack you with the bosses you killed because i never did kill any of them on my first playthrough. This game just keeps surprising me!
Headcanon: all of the SOULS had to go through something similar to this in order to get free and help Frisk
Undertale Yellow might be my one of my favorite games ever. Not just fan games, ALL games. These endings are actually fucking phenomenal.
I really liked all of the Flowey stuff, but I just have to ask:
WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT!?
Insane how the neutral ending was easily the best climax
Flowey is the child in the store that doesn’t get what he wants, throws a tantrum, then gives up knowing he’s satisfied simply with gaining attention.
shoutout to the guy who live chatted "YELLOW IS THE COLOR OF PISS"
The thing about this fight is that unlike the Omega Flowey fight, Flowey here is all bark and no bite. He literally cannot kill you. When you are down to zero HP, you simply break out of the vines and are good to go again. This is all mind games, trying to get you to give up, because Flowey in this state doesn't have much real power, despite having more determination than Clover.
"You..."
Holy shit Flowey actually shows the fact that little children were MURDERED in Undertale and with Flowey being in control, they were having their WORST NIGHTMARE
Like bro "Clover would like to cry but they have no eyes" sounds really unsettling considering the fact that Clover is somewhere around 8 YEARS OLD.
The psychological horror elements in this fight gives me massive HELP_TALE vibes. That is HIGH praise.
Team UTY: hey, what should we do for the flowey fight?
Team UTY: EVERYTHING
Yeah, I can absolutely tell why this took seven years.
I'm glad to see this amazing game all the way through
Also I believe your in flowey in that fight
Lets go! Finally! Cant wait to see more u. Yellow content!
19:20 *clover does the moonwalk and breaks the game (literally)*
Judging by how that fight went… flowey needs some serious therapy…
He's gonna kill the therapist
The thing I love about this fight is that you don't really win, you just stall until Flowey gives up
How many suitcases full of Pepsi did the devs snort to make this boss
There's a special neutral ending if you kill Ceroba in her pacifist fight where you go to fight ASGORE.
Got that one on stream
Some people call that the alternate pacifist ending. I like to call it the pacifisn't ending.
Iirc it's called flaw pacifist
"When did this become a psychological horror game!?"-Shayy 2023 (20:52)
psychological *......
@@sillypinkmoth thanks

Whats interesting is depending on how many monsters you kill in the neutral route your 2 options here are different.
Instead of "…" and "…Okay"
Your options are
> Sure
> …Okay
Just a neat tidbit I noticed after doing the neutral route as my first play-through
the "what have i done" at the end of the flowey hallway before crashing is just everything
Hands down my favorite boss fight in the whole game
Fr Shayy does the best voice acting that I have ever heard from any undertale/deltarune players.
I don’t know how this game pulled off flowey being terrifying better than Toby fox himself.
This is genuinely disturbing
And I have now found my new favorite horror game
To be frank, this truly is the natural previous next step from photoshop flowey. Truly fits the little shit
i feel like the only con about this ending is that the main attacks for "photoshop'nt flowey" are a bit not overwhelming/chaotic enough
thats really just my only gripe, everything else is FANTASTIC!
Imagine someone playing this game without knowing anything about Undertale. Flowey would seem so fascinating and mysterious.
