    It is also possible to get orientation with encoders or are you fusing the imu orientation with encoder orientation to get better results with kalman?

      Yes you can get orientation from encoders -> kinematics
      I like my videos as well :D

    Is it possible to just use imu and camera for mapping?

      Mapping requires position information
      that you can generate using VIO algos
      and then do the mapping

      its based on your requirements , but encoders should be of good resolution
