Sir I no expertise in robotics but out of passion for something I am working on this robot arm personally. It will need to carry 2.5 kg payload, 1 meter range. Low repeatability. I have the same approach towards it's software. However learning resources available are very limited.

Let's say i generate a pointcloud of a rubber tree, is it possible to get the co-ordinates of the line of rubber tapping (cut to collect latex)? Can someone please say how i can approach this task?
