I'm sorry, but i agree and disagree. When things are commonplace we tend to take them for granted. And we dont always understand that everywhere else is not like where we are. So, it is understandable that if you have plenty of choices that you would only pick the best.

Hello from Chicago!! We have now blue slag glass from a smelter way up on Lake Michigan, one of the Great Lakes, that was only in operation from 1870-1885. It’s finally washed hundreds of miles down here. Worth a lot to artists. Broke my heart to see you toss such beautiful pieces. I’m a jeweler and beachcomber- keep all the glass you find, put it in candy jars. We have a plethora of green, clear and brown here. You dropping those cobalt pieces made me crazy mad!
You can buy a flat lapidary machine for quite little money off amazon, which will allow you to flatten the backs and shape the sides very easily.

You have some great places in NY like Dead Horse Bay to Mudlark.
Here in S.C. we have lots of Beaches but NO Mudlarking or Sea Glass.
      Our Beaches are white sand.
I would love so much to visit my ansetrial Beaches where the Northern Mudlarkers visit..
I am 98% European & was adopted at Birth & have never found any blood relatives.
Seeing these video's are just amazing.
      I'm so appreciative.

      Dear @@NorthernMudlarks ladies.
Thanks for replying and for the heart! I simply love to get hearts and thumbs ups for my commenting.
      2) Even better that there are two of such a kind! Meanwhile I realized that there are two gorgeous looking beach gals because I commented the second vid I watched (will definitely not be the last for sure).
I simply love sea glass respectively everything that looks interesting and beautiful! ;-) :-) Your are such a nice fresh character and your mom simply takes my breath away! Nothing more, nothing less! Wonderful voices too. I enjoy your videos and how you become excited while finding things. It's sooo lovely.
      3) Is there a kind of catalogue where I can see your jewelry items?
I would love and appreciate to hear from you. Thanks in advance.
      Sincerely yours.

This is Mrs. E. K. When my son was young, we would go look for seaglass along the river in Old New Castle, De. in the U.S. The spot where we went has since been "improved" and I am no longer sure that you can go hunt there anymore. My son just turned 20 recently. I now keep several apothecary type jars filled, which I consider my treasure. Memories in a jar.
I only regret not dating our finds to document those memories. The colors are beautiful to me, almost better than any gem. The colors we found most where all variations of aqua, brown, white, and bottle green. Rarely we found cobalt blue in small chips and even more rare was lavender, my most absolute favorite thrill to find of all the colors. Your video inspired me to share and thank you for sharing with all of us your lovely finds.

What gorgeous views on such a beautiful day. Nothing like a day on the beach. Alex, you have so much self control...I would want to keep every piece of sea glass I picked up! The necklace your Mom made is so unique and I love it. Would love to see some of your jewelry creations, as well. The pea hens are too cute! Another greAt video. I took my niece last weekend as she wanted to try. She loved it and found loads . We spent a day in the week making her ‘paint a stone’ school project. We painted a flat rock sky blue then added 3d waves made of clay and painted that too. A spall piece of sea wood was used as a prop for a seagull made of sea glass with a broken clam shell as a wing. We added a beak and eye with paint and a speech bubble with the words “ give us a chip mate!”. She was very happy. She want to know about the lady that makes jewelry on RUclips.

This video feels magical... This is my absolute favorite pastime from my childhood whenever my family and I went to the beach back home.
I still do it whenever I visit but the pieces I find aren't nearly as softened or rounded! I love these so much for that! As someone else had said, I don't understand how you don't pick everything up, I have no sense of control either XD
I would absolutely make a trip to this gorgeous place just get some pieces and visit~

Hello from Derbyshire, I am new to your channel, your video popped up on my RUclips feed so decided to spend my lunch hour watching it and I really really enjoyed it. My kind of treasure hunting is usually with a metal detector, but I must say last summer I found myself on a beach in Cornwall picking up those wonderfully colourful and sculpted pieces of sea glass. I still have a bag full in the garage somewhere!! Really enjoyed the timelapse of the cod marble necklace. Great stuff ladies

Thank you for another fantastic video! The stone you found at 9:42 is most likely Chalcedony (agate), the blue one at 10:21 could also be agate or Chalcedony. I have tried to tumble polish glass I have found on the beach and it worked out great.

Also, you might think about investing in an inexpensive rock tumbler/polisher for the sea glass and codd marbles. They would polish up beautifully. Just a thought! And let's see some of your jewelry Alex! I'm very curious to see your handiwork! And more of your mum's!!! Cheers!

Hello Girls, I call Almost Heaven, West Virginia, home. Not far from my house was,Acro Agate Marble Works. They made glass reflectors and lenses for industrial use ,as well as marbles. I spent many happy hours scouring riverbanks for slag glass and marbles with my dad ,then with our 3 daughters.
