    So according to the thumbnail, Hogan was able to duplicate himself and work both the Survivor Series 87 and Chi town Heat? The power of Hulkamania, baby! 😂

      Maybe Vince was trying to sabotage it by sending Hogan there as a double agent lol

    They had Dr Death Steve Williams. They had just bought the UWF. They could have gotten some mileage out of an NWA vs UWF feud that culminated at Starrcade with Flair vs Williams. That's a dream match up. It should have happened.

      I agree heard the reason they didn't go that route is Ric didn't want to put the UWF strap and top UWF guys over, not as in drop the strap. But didn't want to make them appear a threat to the NWA starp or NWA's top guys.

    Ricky Morton would've been a way better choice, than Ronnie Garvin

    I do remember this moment in NWA in 1986 year. When Magnum T A was in a car accident. Nikita Koloff was his replacement for American Dream Dusty Rhodes partner. The Super Power was born. It shock the 4 Horsemen and wrestling fans. When Nikita Koloff be came a baby face wrestler.

    They should have had Barry Windham take the belt from Flair at the Crockett Cup earlier that year and Flair take it back at Starrcade.

      The Crockett Cup was in April of that year. Starrcade was Thanksgiving night. If they had put the belt on Barry at the Cup and drop it back to Flair at Starrcade;that would have been a solid 7 month long run with the belt.

    I don't get the fan hate for Ronnie Garvin..... Garvin was on fire back then and was one of my favorites as a kid.

      He was over in huge in 1987 with his feud versus Flair but the problem was fans never saw him as a World Champion. A secondary title? Sure, but not the World belt.

    Problem was not Ronnie Garvin winning belt . Problem was Flair not turning after Starrcade 87.

    • @briankregg6329
      @briankregg6329 3 года назад +3

      Problem was that they never pushed Garvin as champion. He beat nobody after winning the belt, only big match I can recall was against Tully, I believe in Cincinnati. Yes they redid a Flair for the gold, only problem, Ric was a heel and it made no sense. Starrcade’87 was a phenomenal night, I think the argument about it being in Chicago is complete bs, Vince and WWF is a different story though.

      no championship matches between winning and dropping it back... they didn't put him over as Champ. Some didn't buy him as champ. But maybe if he beats the other Horsemen an a few other top bad guys then he is seen in a better way. They had guys to get him over. They didn't!@@briankregg6329

    David is ok, All the Starcades were great with JCP even 87 it was good old wrestling, and during this time JCP was a part of the NWA later WCW went Vince style. Today both remain NWA old wrestling and AEW going Vince style. AEW put wrestling on Turnerland again and NWA gives good old wrestling with guys like Nick Aldis and Trevor Murdoc. It would be nice to see David make an appearance on both promotions. And Ronnie Gravin vs Ric Flair was just fine.

    They didn't have the talent in 87'? Flair, Arn, Tully, Dusty, Rock n Roll, Midnight Express, Road Warriors, Luger (I think was there), Nikita Koloff, Barry Windham, and more. Seems like they had the talent. Those were exciting times from i remember.

      Yeah, I agree! Tony or/and Conrad should've definitely called Crockett on that one. They most definitely had the talent.
