The advantages of the lockjaw hinge are its 'invisible' appearance, strength, and ability to match with more traditional frame shapes. So this makes it worth the extra effort to effort to fold for its fans.

My trusty old "Helios" is still serving me well it looks good & is in perfect condition ;-)
