Thank you SO much for editing your video like a champ, making it straightforward and clear. ppl waste so much damned time with their ums and uhs. Now just gotta look for your video on actually doing the adjustment!

While I've never owned a Ducati, I want to get a better understanding of the desmodromic design. My experience is with DOHC, SOHC, or pushrod designs with either shims-under-buckets or the conventional screw-type adjusters.

Check out the latest issue of Motorcyclist Magazine. They have a decent write-up on the Desmo.

Thanks for a very clear video! One perhaps stupid question: at 3:10 it looks like there is some amount of oil in the bottom of the valve house. Is that normal?

Amazing video, thanks a lot! But I've got a question: when you line up the marks on the alternator side one of the cylinders is at TDC in the power stroke, you insert the screwdriver to see which one is up. Then if you keep rotating the engine till the marks line up again and the other cylinder should be at TDC in the power stroke as well, correct?

Try Ducati Omaha online, check their OEM parts section, I got one for my 2013 monster from them via Italy, it was in disc format. If they Ducati Omaha cant get it, it doesnt exist.

I read somewhere that the belts need to be removed in order to do this, is that true? Also, when you first show the TDC window...it looked completely off...as if the mark should rotate clockwise 1/16th of an inch...
