@@jasmineb.3514 there you go Surge Switchpad Pro Wireless Controller for Nintendo Switch - Red - Nintendo Switch www.amazon.ca/dp/B07L447DK3/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_O2lmEb4KPP4H7 Got it second hand but the controller is in perfect condition
My favorite feature is the value: the closest controller to this one is the 8BitDo, but the Surge is $20 cheaper. $30 as opposed to $50 for the same features?! Nice! #DIAMONDINTHEROUGH
@@yummypuddingcup6629 I have one The sticks aren't the best, they may feel good physically but the input accuracy isn't anywhere near the pro and also significantly worse than the Power A wireless pro controller. The axial deadzones are huge!! (You can see the effect of the axial deadzones at 1:58 in this video: notice how he doesn't cross the axis or gets stuck at the axes when making those small adjustments?) In Paladins and Warface whenever I spin the joystick, my crosshairs follow a shape more similar to a square rather than a circle. Also I only put like 6 hours of gameplay on it and the left stick is already feeling less springy than the right. The gyro has a bit of lag, not much but enough to be noticeable over the pro controller and power A. The dpad is phenomenal! Not a lot of travel and just clicky enough. It's been great on hollow Knight and fighting games. The rumble is strong but it's strong almost all the dam time. Ruins the immersion for games like hollow Knight and is actually strong enough to mess with motion controls in shooting games.
In Japan. The brand name is called Cyber Gadget switch pad pro. This looks good for a $30 price point. I was wondering. Since there are macro buttons on the back, can those macro buttons have turbo functionality? 2nd, can it also be used on android phones or tablets or ios phones or tablets? 3rd, can it also be used on pc wirelessly via bluetooth or wired only?
Good video man! I know you're probably planning on doing it anyway, but can you do an in-depth review on the Nintendo Switch Lite when it launches? You're the best channel when it comes to the important details (like the keyboard reviews
Great video. I saw the pics on Twitter and was pretty excited for the review. I think what I love most about it it's the turbo button I feel like it's a really nice addition that others might overlook. #DiamondInTheRough
I got my pro controller just about 6 months ago and it is already starting to drift. I saw this Surge controller at my local best buy yesterday and was reluctant to buy it. I thought I do a little bit of research on it. I came across this video and it was up just 14 hours ago. So...yea, I'm getting this one tomorrow after work.
Does the turbo enable auto fire? As in it will press the button without you needing to press the button? I'm looking for something that will just let me hoover up weeds and other items in Animal crossing without needing to hold the button down the whole time.
I'm a bit mixed personally. The shoulder buttons can be a bit awkward, controlling the camera in certain games doesn't feel as precise and the rumble is way too intense for me. The turbo feature is really nice though, and $30 is a fantastic deal.
Two years too late for the giveaway, but thank you for the video. We just got one today on a whim.Probably should have researched it beforehand, but looks like we lucked out!
I bought this controller when you guys first talked about it (video mention maybe?) and I have no regrets. Battery life is the best, been playing fire emblem three houses nonstop all weekend. the controller only needed to be charged Monday night. good luck to everyone trying to win.
I have the blue one on my amazon game list. Definitely looks good got the idea from you SO thanks. I don’t know what I’d like about a controller until I actually try I can say that blue color is great 💙💙💙💙
I bought one of these and I can input up to 16 inputs in a macro AND it does take time into consideration. I've tested it and calibrated it to PC via Steam Big Picture as well as switch settings and the sticks have big outer deadzones and very noticeable axial (cross) inner deadzones. Making it significantly worse for first person shooters. I tried calibrating with the controller itself, switch settings, and steam settings. And I even emailed the company and there's nothing I can do. I found out something when I wired connect to PC, it gets registered as an Xbox 360 controller with a non-functional R2 button. And only registers the analog of L2, not the button press.
Another great video and great review. This honestly seems like a great controller but I want to wait and see how well the HORI nintendo switch split pad pro turn out. Especially since I play in hand held mode more than anything. Was wondering what your thoughts on it are. Also can’t wait to see you do a review on it.
my favorite feature of the switchpad pro is the macro buttons on the back. this way I can taunt in smash bros without moving my thumbs. also I can do ryu and ken's commands (down + forward + A for example). #diamondintherough
Just mentioning this for the sake of mentioning, but there is a $30 wireless Nyko switch controller that is rechargeable, has motion controls, a basic rumble, and a turbo button. No macros, but still worth sharing this info since it comes in a wide rage of colors that may remind you of the gameboy and N64 era.
I really wish Amazon UK would get then back in stock, this video convinced me to want to get one, but they've been out of stock in the UK since forever ago, and I don't want to import one from the US
I have one. It's great overall but the vibration motor is too strong for me to play certain games. One example is Rocket League, which rumbles your controller almost constantly while your car is in motion. I had to give up using the Surge because the vibration is so strong I actually felt uncomfortable. I'd describe the effect as being like how your whole body feels like it's shaking when you're having your teeth cleaned by the dentist - you know like how the vibration travels along your jaw bone down your skeleton and radiates outwards? The Surge's vibration is strong enough that it feels like that, except the shaking starts from your hands of course. I'd love the Surge if its vibration strength was like reduced by 50% at least, maybe closer to 75%. I think the Surge is only purchasable online so you can't really test it in person before parting with your cash, therefore be prepared to use it only for games that don't utilise the vibration effect all that much.
Is it compatible with iOS and pc too? I'm thinking about getting one and I'm kind of worried about its compatibility. On their Amazon F&Q, people said it is not meant to be used on pc and there's nothing about iOS, but I've seen people on RUclips making videos about how to connect it to a pc, so I'm a bit confused
My favorite part of this controller has to be the motion controls that are actually accurate. Shocked to see this many features (that seem to work well) at this price point! #DiamondintheRough
Oddly enough i had a similar case with my sunwaytek pro controller for switch. No info on it and they're out of stock never restocked. So i guess i have one out of few they made.
The price of course. As I don’t have much to spend on games or controllers. While still having all the features. SN30 Pro+ also has lots of it for cheap and more. I just dislike the DualShock design and I want all of its features
