You’d still require a pretty good vehicle with storage capacity to take everything else you’ll need in the camper, not the end of the world but something you need to plan for to get everything you need at the campsite.

39 Cubic ft of dry storage when folded plus 3 belly compartments & front cap. We're constrained by time in the video, BUT we have tested the Camp365 personally & find it hauls as much gear as a traditional say 18-20 ft camper. Great comment! Subscribe for more videos soon!

Good concept to start with it's portability but then you still have to setup the beds and you would have to bring in frig, cooking gear, tables, seating etc. whereas the traditional pop up/fold out campers seem to be more utilitarian. But hey creativity and competition are great.

We have a Honda CRV AWD 2016. It's max pull is 15,00 lbs.
As I saw this being set up, I thought, hmmm... a tiny flat thing into a large, roomy environment.
BUT, when he went inside, it was barren! So now, if a person wants anything inside, like stove, fridge, shower, bed, sofa, table/chairs, AC etc, now the weight is as much as any other trailer of that size.
So in reality, this would not be a good choice for the kind of vehicle we have.
And honestly, that price for an empty shell is way too much.
For that new price, one could buy a Casita, but would need a stronger vehicle that what we have.
But all the necessities are there.

The frames strap to the floor when folded up. You can see 1 of the twin frames on the floor when he shows us the Aqualon. They're metal frames , and there is 39 cubic feet of dry storage when folded. Large storage in the front cap, 3 compartments down the center when unfolded, which also house the tanks, battery, bed mats, AC unit, Sink, or Stove depending which one you're storing on the Slider drawer. The rear hatch is a table that mounts inside or outside as well. Great question. Subscribe to the Chanel for a more in-depth video later. Thanks

    • @NorthernKitty
      @NorthernKitty Год назад +3

I don't find it insulting, but it's inaccurate. While it's a pretty light camper, there are lighter campers out there. For example, the Meerkat comes in at less than 1000 lbs. There are vehicles that are limited to a towing capacity of 1000 lbs that can't tow the Camp365 but can tow the Meerkat.
What's especially deceptive about the boast, however, is that it's not fully-equipped. You will need to bring hundreds of pounds of things it lacks (your beds, table, chairs, fridge, microwave, air conditioner, etc) just to match the furnishings of other campers, which will add to the total combined weight of your vehicle. Especially for smaller cars, the towing capacity is often almost all of the extra weight overall that the vehicle can handle beyond a driver, one passenger and a full tank of gas. That is, with a towing capacity of 1500 lbs, you're likely unable to carry much additional gear if your trailer actually weighs 1500 lbs.
The gross combined weight of my Chevy Equinox, for example, is around 5780. The dry weight of the car is around 3750 lbs. A full tank of gas is almost 100 lbs. A driver is going to add around 180 lbs. If I'm maxxing out my towing with a 1500 lbs trailer, I've got just 250 lbs left for passengers and other gear.
So even though other campers are heavier, you won't need to bring all that extra stuff, thus it evens out.

@NorthernKitty Thanks for Commenting. HOWEVER All the beds, water system, propane system, sink, and stove are ALL inside EVERY Camp365. Most people want a 5 min video. If we had more time, we could go more in-depth. Thanks for watching. Subscribe for more videos soon.

@@Riverwoodrv While you didn't need to show how to set it all up, it may have been helpful to quickly mention such features and show a completed interior - it would've taken, what, 15 seconds of video? All you showed us really was sink, furnace and propane tank. You even stated "sink OR stove", not "sink AND stove". I didn't see any indication at all that a stove was included. Not to mention, what do you mean by "bunk beds"? Where are the mattresses stored... or are these actually bunk "cots" and not "beds"? How about dinette table and chairs? You're still not accounting for a cooling system like A/C or a fridge.
Based on what you showed us and stated in your video, I stand by my comment - most people will be hauling a lot of extra gear to make up for what it seems to lack in features that other campers have that either weigh only slightly more, the same or even less.
Not to say this design doesn't have it's advantages. It has excellent square footage, a high ceiling and the open floorplan means you can customize it as you like. But I feel it's disingenuous to call this the "lightest" camper or even to push the idea that you should tow this with something that can only handle 1500 lbs. It's pretty clear you'll be wanting to haul a LOT of extra stuff with this design.
