  • The color film, Idaho Wild Natural Resources, is from the film library of the Bureau of Mines, of the United States Dept. of the Interior. The bureau was established in 1910 and continued until 1996. It became part of the Dept. of Interior in 1934. This documentary was made in cooperation with Richfield Oil Corporation of California, which was in business from 1905 to 1966. The film shows the Reactor Testing Station which operated from 1949-1975. It also shows fire trucks from the early 1950’s; therefore, this movie was probably made between 1955 and 1966.

I wonder how many of these workers end up getting cancer or severely injured. No protective gear whatsoever.

Well, the French trappers and traders were all over there BEFORE Lewis and Clark. Would Americans have named those tribes and places (Nez Perce, Pend Oreille, Coeur D’Alene) with French names AFTER it was bought by the US ? And how did the French own the whole LP before us, anyway ?

lol . . . 3 cents an acre was paid, an honest sale, not thievery. The French have never been known for a high level of intelligence . . . . lol . . . you must be sore that this is further proof of that ;)

France sold this because Napolean knew that he couldn't maintain a territory in the United States while fighting all his wars across Europe. It was a pragmatic choice. Not thievery. Unless you mean from the Indians but then they just got conquered. Like they were doing to each other for thousands of years before any white person set foot on north america
