The Innova is kind of a prestige-vehicle in the middle-class Indian community. It's costly but not as costly as a Merc or BMW, and not cheap at the same time. Its not flashy yet its attention-grabbing.

When I went to the dealer in Bangalore to enquire the crysta, it was an experience by itself, they know they will achieve the targets with this car, so they don’t even bother negotiating, you either buy it to their rate or get lost, it was almost like going to a Hyundai dealership and trying to buy a hatchback, and 30 lakhs price tag with add-ons is just not justified, so went for the new endeavor, it was the best decision ever.
My friend & I made an epic road trip in one of these. Travelled all the way from the heart of Punjab to the edge of the sea in Bhavnagar, Gujarat. We covered 3500 kms in 6 days. I test drove the automatic 2.8L extensively. There are a few serious issues that I wish you had paid attention to 1. When you brake hard you can feel vibrations in the steering. I personally feel, this is unacceptable. 2. The engine is super powerful but the body of the Crysta is too light for it. Wheels spin each time you accelerate and there is the proverbial kick in the pants feeling each and every time one accelerates even moderately hard. This may sound like manna from heaven for the enthusiasts but it causes serious nausea in normal passengers. 3. For a 109 PS Yaaris, Toyota has endowed it with rear disc brakes. They have saved a lot of money by avoiding rear discs on the 2.8L 174 PS Crysta! Not Done :( 4. When I test drove a 3 year old Crysta which had driven around 50k kms, there was clearly a fall in performance compared to a relatively new car which I test drove at the showroom. I always look at this issue with a lot of keenness. Cars which are built well, should not see a fall in performance over time. Specially not a Toyota.

Based on my personal experience, the Innova is a very good vehicle, it has power and space but comfort is not even close to good, yes the front absorb shocks of any terrain but because the rear end of Innova is lighter, riding in 2nd and 3rd row is rougher than on the 1st row plus Innova V in philippines doesnt offer leather seats and power seats, the high trim only offers push button start/stop and their base model is crap, only the mid trim Innova is the best value in terms of equipment and cost

Sorry, the automatic gearbox doesn’t have an option of manually changing gears, when you push to S, it locks the gear to the gear number displayed, which is more usable for down-hill stability so that the heavy vehicle doesn’t reach top gear making it riskier. This is gear lock which you have an option to play around from 2 to 6 and not change or shift gears. This has been almost a myth by even existing owners.

I can say innova like 4runner wich based on tacoma. Although innova only rwd and not design for hard offroad, it use same formula. Sharing platform. Innova use same platform found on fortuner and hilux (see IMV platform on google) and innova use ladder frame chassy. The body design it's slightly derrived from highlander so you may expect this derrived from highlander. But highlander is transversal powerplant so is natively fwd and got awd on higher trim. Innova is longitudinal powerplant and natively rwd.

@@axlerod6663 What joke?
Axle Rod ?
Crysta Z vs Jeep Compass Limited Plus, which one would you recommend?
If you have money to spend without worrying go for Jeep..
But if you want a car with durability, longevity, low maintenance, brand go for Innova..
@@myandroid1396 But jeep costs less than Innova.
I drove the automatic, the engine doesn't seemed to be punchy, is it that my driving is bad or is it automatic gear box 's way of responding. Manual seemed to be punchy and perfect.. Kindly help me on this to choose.
My innova 2009 model costed only 13lakhs and it's the top of the line vx
never heard of this before. not in US i assume it loooks like a mini version of the highlander
@umami Tsunami Hilux in USA is called Tacoma, which they widening their body
I can say innova like 4runner wich based on tacoma. Although innova only rwd and not design for hard offroad, it use same formula. Sharing platform. Innova use same platform found on fortuner and hilux (see IMV platform on google) and innova use ladder frame chassy. The body design it's slightly derrived from highlander so you may expect this derrived from highlander. But highlander is transversal powerplant so is natively fwd and got awd on higher trim. Innova is longitudinal powerplant and natively rwd.
which is better petrol or disel engine?
Nice in detailed review innova is innova no competition
It is the only car in which I don't get nausea/vommitting and never get tired even after hundreds of KMs
How do we get the black color?
Very nice review. Nice voice modulation and non distracting background score and best presentation. I was a nice step to mention about the long term reliability and resale value.
Now everyone will buy harrier 7 sitter. Looks good has all the toys and has a good presence on road 👍
True my harrier is way more comfortable to than my dad's innova and much better to drive and shockingly more comfortable than BMW x3 too.
Which is good performance ?
Automatic or manual

For God's sake, Innova is a MUV.
XUV 500 and Harrier are SUVs.

Nice review! Points well presented!
SIR 1 THING I WANTED TO SAY THAT . . . YE GAADI BACK (REVERSE) NAHI HOTI BOSS AGR PEECHHE THODA INCLINE HAI TO. KYUNKI ISKA WEIGHT DISTRIBUTION FRONT BIASED HAI THODA. IN SPITE OF IT IS A REAR WHEEL DRIVE STILL WEIGHT DISTRIBUTION HAMPERS THE MOST . . .
OTHERWISE WHATEVER U SAID YES EVERYTHING IS TRUE . . .
I wish Toyoto Crysta comes with a panoramic sunroof 🙏☺️
Does the milage drop after certain years.
It depends on the way you maintain the car. If you cover the routine servicing, use good quality lubricants/parts, unadulterated fuel and maintain the correct tyre pressure, then the fuel economy shouldn't fall much.

Hexa is better in all aspects, but underrated... 😕
You're cool and deep like an ocean. Like davidoff cool water. Serene, quite, nonchalant yet intelligent at the same time. Brilliance wrapped in a pack of cold sharp personality. Loved it.
