Our 2007 Innova has clocked 1.8 Lakh kms and is still solid as a rock. We have driven it to Kerala, Bangalore, Leh and Gujarat. Also used it as a family car for parents and a truck to move our belongings. Fantastic build quality unmatched by even Honda, Volkswagen and other big names. Will definitely replace it with the new Innova Crysta! If build quality is important to you, this is worth every penny spent. Mahindra, Tata, are great but in a much lower league.
Rear design looks awful but it's a win in the Engine department. If
someone wants to go by outer looks they will be dissappointed but if
someone's looking for reliable performance they will be more than happy.

A thorough review. I recommend a couple of inclusions:
- Please mention how tall you are to get a perspective of interior space and headroom,
- A word about the ground clearance will help better understand touring capabilities
- Details around the storage options for luggage in addition to the knickknacks
- Do cover safety options since many buyers look for it these days

theres nothing like innova. my oldy has crossed 2.5 lac mark and still the pickup is the same. innova whether old or new model is innova. no comparison.

I really never liked Innova from day one. But this one made from scratch. And have to say Superb job Toyota...Hats off. In india Mahindra SCORPIO, XUV5OO, TATA Safari Strome, Aria (which is already out of competition) & other some others will feel the Heat.
Toyota taken Game to higher level, in terms of Feature, design, quality, Ride & handling AND PRICE :p.
Cijo Paulos u say aria is out of leauge huh,u in which century look put for tata hexa an absolute thrilling product and almost 3-4lakhs cheaper offering awd,4*4,better interior and much more

Ma'am you forgot to talk about safety features.. It is one of the few to have good safety kit. IMO Toyota should consider to launch a toned down version of this Innova as a compact SUV

In the rear, It looks like they have combined the usual Innova's tail lamp and a part of Fortuner tail lamp (In the boot lid)...it looks different..An overall commendable upgrade for Innova...

You can accept that this car is bit pricy compared to older version current price is bit higher manual cost around 25 lakh top model onroad
King is back .. time for Scorpio , xuv 500, safari storm increase parking area in there plant or showrooms to park there vehicles where it is UNLESS any one prefer 4×4. And for TATA hexa " YOUR DEAD BEFORE YOUR BORN " ..
but their would be at least 3-4 lakhs difference b/w hexa top model n crysta base model.
+Danish Khan This Innova will be the one to be dead. It will now cost North of 20L, which is Fortuner money and there is already the Endeavour to devour it's rivals. The Hexa will be competing with the XUV and will be much cheaper than this pricey, fatty Japanese Elephant although providing similar equipment levels and 4X4. Mind you, the Innova is still MPV and an MPV for 24L is just a big loser. Know your facts right before you talk.
Haha after one year everyone knows how Innova are flying of the shelves and the elephant hexa is barely able to move.
Only and only one problem in innova is the loud noise of engine you hear in cabin as it has poweful beast inside ....... overall its a fabulous car

this car makes sense in all aspects;
the automatic for when you drive, the reliability, the ride quality, the amazing back seats..... but at that price it isn't an image boost :/
3rd row is not comfortable but due to space in the middle on the second row between two seats the 3rd row person can stretch their legs in the long run, which is not present in fortuner so i like this

rear end is more like a typical family wagon, maybe it's designed such that to make more space. interiors looks glossy though. high speed stability is poor and not confident enough. so it's more of muv. we should wait for tiguan. I think tiguan is having q3 base, so y spend more on innova. just my opinion.

hi i have a question regarding the automatic crysta how do you hold the car in traffic light every time? b cos i pull the hand brake and get it neutral for this there is a lot of confusion on how to hold the car at traffic signal, some say you should hold the brake that's risky and you are using the brake and your brake lights are glowing blinding the driver behind changing to neutral always spoils the auto gear box is what others say i dont know how far its true please advise
Top is priced 23 in punjab.. Is it wise to go for it or fortuner( next year it will be replaced)
Only thing missing is smart infotainment system....it doesn't have carplay and Android auto
the 2.8l engine has 174bhp... so finally it can match with the xuv500 automatic.. innova only take 11sec for 0to100 which is very cool..😘😘😘
Yeah you are right but I have XUV 500 AWD it takes 10 seconds from 0 to 100

It is strange that Toyota should change the steering character of the crysta. The innova had a brilliant steering character. Had the hydraulic power steering setup been replaced by an electric power assisted one, this change is understandable. Having retained the hydraulic power steering setup why I wonder Toyota did this?!

+Smita Mohapatra creta, scross and duster are two row seaters, this one has the third...it cannot be compared with those...also scorpio and xuv are mahindra vehicles, Toyota's reliability and engine refinement is on another level.
I'm surprised with the premium touch coming from Toyota.
We as indonesia people was jealous, because indonesia market use 2.4L diesel engine.. And the crysta use 2.8L engine

Go take the jetta or corolla. Xuv 500 is waste in crash test, it have got bad ratings. The only special about the car is style, go for Toyota or Honda or Volksvagon, they r the best!

VW is shit.. they are supplying old tech engines in India and the service costs r darn high compared to others. Also the ride quality isnt as comfy as Toyota or Honda. Their sibling skoda is also giving the same engines so better to avoid them too. Just see the condition of some old VW Diesel vehicles, sound like tractor like Indica from TATA used to sound once.
The problem with some people is they dont wana buy a car which is used as Taxi, boss, taxi companies use only the most trusted vehicles for their buisness and not shit like VW

interior length - old model 288cm crysta 260cm -28 cm short (almost a feet) that means thrd row now for small kids only . plastic quality not gud enough for a 25 lk van . new engine has turbo lag .ford endevour is a much better choice than this . or u can buy one lodgy keep rest of money in debt funds. sell it after 5 yrs and buy a new van .
