It’s not a lot of us around anymore. It’s easier to do it yourself sure. But get 3 guys who knows what they’re doing just give it 12 hours and we can complete an entire Peterbilt and that’s considered fast in the polishing world. Keep up the good work, though it’s a dying skill. Iam sure u know that
@@lloydbrady2850 have you ever used the compound brick before? Its the best method of polishing go to any detail polish shop that specializes in high polishing. You can say we’re lazy all you want, but it doesn’t defeat the fact that the product is just that good if you know what you’re doing. I love compound bricks . All I have to do is just wipe away the dust if the customer takes too long to pick up his stuff. If you wanna hear about lazy, you can use compound cream. Now that doesn’t last very long and does tarnish. After a few weeks especially when it rains. But like I said as long as you know what you’re doing. This guy in the video I think he’s doing a pretty good job. 👏 like I said polishing is a dying breed just look on your own Google maps or Apple Maps and just notice how very little shops there are for this pacifically not many man.

This takes forever to do then u get covered in black dust that is hard to get off and I still do it every spring time on my race car hauler on all the trim 34 foot long thinking about painting it flat black and my motor on my 89 Honda 250 R is fully polished it gets old after so many years of doing this did u sand it first
@@braddurham3015 not necessary when polishing with a 3500 or 6k rpm buffer with airway buffs, just a waste of time, sometimes can even get away with only sanding to 600
It was so shiny that at first I thought it was a whole truck trailer and my thought was that's not going to be very strong and then I realized it was just a reflection😂

Looks beautiful, only about 1000 hours to go. Half the aluminum things i own have about this much of them polished.

Yes it would. But chipping will occur and those spots will rust

Used to polish metal for a living if it was too big we would do acid emersion with sulfuric acid and then citric acid to clean

Years ago they sold stuff called shark hide great aluminum sealer tge best my boy used it on snowmobile tunnels.

Aluminum stuff yes. Steel stuff you have chromed. I polished out an A.R. was a lot of sanding at first

You could clear coat it why not just remove all grease and polisher before

I did this to my dirt bike crankcases. And now the mud just dont stick anymore. TOOK FOREVER!!

@ hey after 800 grit try 3000 grit and 5000 grit it will be easier to buff out
