I have a big soft spot for R Models. My 1st memory I can remember with my dad is his R Model with a 28ft dump trailer in 1979. I was 3yrs old. Miss ya dad.

The first truck my dad drove was an single axle R Model Mack..pulled an drop deck van hauling foam carpet backing..great memories from riding with him as a child.👊😊

I drove and 82 R model. Before that, a 78 White Road Boss that had a 318 Detroit that blew up. The White was hot, loud, and gutless. I got the 82 R model as it's replacement for the company I was working for. It was used but I thought I was riding high compared to the Road Boss. The Mack had a Radio Shack stereo wired in it and air conditioning. The White had none of these things.
