    Chris if I were in your shoes I would find a set of lug logger tires or something like that to put on that truck. We had a farmer here one year put floaters on his trucks he took them off and put his deep lug tires back on floaters work good on a trailer he couldn’t get enough traction on his trucks with them. But hey it’s a nice truck. Love the content.

    Oddly we had multiple R models that were Mack/Mack with silver dogs. Congratulations on the new truck. She's beautiful. I love the 2 stick. The truck I learned to drive on was a 79 R model with a 237 and a 2 stick. 😍

    The RD is a heavy duty R. The U & DM are basically R’s but the cab sets over to the left
    (not center) DM being heavier truck. (DM) stands for dump, mixer. Can’t go wrong with DOGS!

    Nice old Mack. My I suggest the next truck have a power divider and cross locks. Also automatics do better in the field. They get stuck less. Old cement trucks or 4wd plow trucks often had automatic trannys. I love military trucks myself. They are awesome in the field. Something to think about the 10k Front on that Mack is kinda light it will eat up king pins. I use my deuce in a half on the farm a lot. 6x6 and the winch comes in handy. Good video.

    The twin stick is why mack driver's used to never wave when you passed them because they were two busy rowing gears. I drove one that in certain gears or grandes u had one hand on each stick trying to talk dirty to the trans as your trying to slip it into gear. I've always wanted a twin stick with an old 2 stroke Detroit. When I first drove a 2 stroke Detroit I wasn't driving it hard enough, the farmer I was working for told me I have to really bebeat the heal put of the truck running her way up In the RPMS, he told me when I get back in the truck make sure to slam my hand in the door and drive it pissed. Also I've heard Detroits with the twin stick, the twin stick pisses you off enough to drive it like I stole it.

    • @huntersills
      @huntersills 2 года назад +1

      @@willianvos3521 Straight pipe is a term used when someone suggest removing the muffler. You took my comment a little too literally, but to answer your statement yes a bent pipe will reduce the amount of water entering the pipe but not completely. A rain flapper cap on a straight pipe is much more effective at preventing water intake into the pipe, certainly better than your bucket.
