Thanks for the video. My KO Grimlock is actually closer to the original than yours for some reason. The only real differences mine has from the original are the red square, the colouring is slightly dull and the yellow circle on the front doesn't have much of a gradient to it, but the grid does sit on top of it though.
Haha I have the 85 grimlock still in the box... and yeah I know for sure it's an original because I picked it up at a flee market 1991 back when the transformer toy was dead so I doubt anybody would make a knock off. Nobody wanted it on this guys table I picked it up for $10
@toysandgames1275 yeah I remember the dealer also had a swoop... but the wing was broken... I remember that was one of the problems with production the wings always broke off... and yes it was still in the box... almost picked that up too... but didnt because it was broken. But it made me feel more comfortable dealing with him... if his toys were fakes and knock offs why would he try to sell a broken toy
@toysandgames1275 oh get this another dealer near him... had a sealed Megatron in the box... it looked mint box looked perfect but the dealer knew that one was gonna be super valuable someday so he was asking for $50... for me being a small child $50 was a lot back then.... looking back I should have still picked that up.
