I love spamton's backstory so much, and I've been seeing a lot of people making spamton animatics from this audio, but they only ever use the beginning. So I wanted to make one with the rest of the video :)

I've gotten a lot of views on this now, and I want to say smthn. Here is a challenge: Gasters sign language spells something. It'll be hard to dicipher, because its a little out of order at first, but kudos to anyone who can figure it out :)
Hint: one of the hands on the first drawing doesn't mean anything. Everything else does though.
Im trying to decypher the sign language, but I cant find the meaning of 4 of the signs. also how many words are there total? I know I really dont need to translate it but now its bugging me lol
I didn't get everything, but I got some words, I think?
In the fist one it says "past" and then something I don't get
the second is "big shops" (or shots, but the sign fits the p more)
the third one is "doll" (or deal) and then something I didn't get
and then It keeps repeating

The 3 frames go in order 1-2-3 always. The first frame of Gaster u see will be 1, then onward. 1s letters r scrambled, but the rest can be read in an order. Hope this helps!

Spamton's so relatable to so many people... Whether it be from situations like yours, or being betrayed, or suffering a big loss, hard times, or depression. I think that's why he's so popular, even though it's also for memes & jokes. We emotionally connect with him.

This leaves out the part where you send them out to recruit. Once they're indoctrinated, you have to give them a spiel that's obnoxious enough to piss off people who aren't susceptible, making them believe that the outside world is angry and hostile, but not obnoxious enough to scare off people who are at their lowest point and desperate for affection.

I'm legit so horrified of how accurate Spamton's story was portrayed like this.
i’m not an easy person to piss off. that is to say, the most you’ll usually get out of me is annoyance or frustration. it is hard to get me truly ANGRY with someone/something. and abuse is one of the things that enrages me the most.
i sincerely hope that we get the chance to beat up whoever was on the other end of that phone - mike, the knight, gaster, some fourth character we’ve never heard of, I don’t care. just let us avenge him. or better yet, let spamton avenge himself.
but more than that, I want to see spamton get better. to have his days filled with joy. because is there a better way to tell your abuser ‘fuck you and fuck what you did to me’ than to rise above them?

was very easy for me to on my first time getting the "perfect" ending to undertale (with luck including the goner kid!!)
I personally like to believe that Kris puts on or takes out the Dealmaker (or whatever item they become in the Light World) outside when they see something nice like the sunset, an especially nice tree or birds singing for Spamton to see/hear.
"Since the death of god there has been a vacancy open" is the best line of the past few years.
As someone who has a big heart and lots of care for friends and gets acquainted quickly with people, I can see myself falling for these traps and honestly, it's scary.
Being aware of the stuff they’ll tell you is the key to not falling for it
I have a tendency to be utilitarian, frugal and reason things from an objective view (which has a tendency to piss some people off) so I’m not sure if theirs something there to grasp onto
Same, I’m a people pleaser and can very easily get attached to someone as long as they care about me in some way. There are many times where people have tried to guide me always from the ones I love and try to tell me that I’d be better off without them and with them. I’d probably fall for the whole thing. The only way I wouldn’t is that I’m not religious by any means and never have been, and certain words come off as religious to me and when I hear them, alarms in my head go off like “woah there buddy, nope, Nuh uh.”
i think the most terrifying part is that gaster seems to be talking to the viewer, mockingly describing how he manipulated spamton into manipulating /himself/ … incredibly well done

@@apollyonnoctis1291 and in many ways the player is doing the same to Kris, the reason Kris was so freaked out after the normal spamton fight is that he realizes he stands in the same shoes as spamton, and the without his strings(you) "his" soul(you) he will eventually collapse like a puppet without its strings.
And not to mention it implied with many decisions what you choose isn't what kris wants but Kris has no control over what you do so they just have to accept it if they wish to continue living

Spamton is such an interesting character and I love how the internet has 3 versions of him. Tragically consumed by his success and not being able to have the control of his life he wanted, sexyman, and skrunkly

watching this genuinely made me feel sick which i guess is the point so amazing job lol
i don’t think gaster is actively malicious like he is in this animatic but spamton definitely seems like the “ideal victim” for a recruitment scheme of this sort - desperate, isolated, and aggressive, to the point where other people don’t approach him and refuse to even say his name.
Spamton's backstory is just one of the reasons that makes him so interesting, you really captured the emotions and dread I feel when hearing about it. the full audio fits prefectly as well

I just remembered how important the shadow crystals are in the origin of spamton and the other secret bosses.
Spamton had one, and the item description implies that holding your eye to one lets you see into the light world. That means Spamton saw some shit.

Just... absolutely amazing! The emotions are so well conveyed, so not only is it a perfect melding of auditory and visual storytelling, but it also, well, tugs at my heartstrings. The desperation and mental abuse Spamton endured is well displayed, and this will haunt me for a long time (in a good way)! Thank you SO MUCH for making this!

Slightly more eloquently, though this is laser targeted towards my interests and I would have liked it no matter what, the fact that the art is so lovely makes it extra good. The expressions sell the narrative very well. So, just return to my initial statement again.
The clapping at the end reminds me of Spamton Neo's battle Text where Spamton charms the audience.

OH MYGOD i can’t express how much i love this animatic. the spared use of color, the resting stills, GASTER’S HANDS. it culminates into this wonderful thing that’s so similar to the source material but differs in its own way for spam’s story. i love this so much, you did such a great job.
Spamton...honestly I headcannon that Gaster/Mike was trying to use Spamton to get a sould and body for him so he could escape the void. This was such a terrifying perspective on what could have happened. Well done!
