The fact that he said he thinks Patrick was going through something... and we have heard a lot since then about different struggles Patrick had, I really respect John for being so honest . Like he didn’t make himself out to be this Angel. He was truthful . Much respect to him ❤️
Exactly. I love when people are willing to try to understand the point of view of someone they've had a conflict with, to really examine their part in it and not just make the other person the villain of the piece. That's someone who genuinely wants to learn from their experiences. Good for him.
@@susieusmaximus5330 Absolutely 👍🏻
he had a lot of problems
John Leguizamo says he’s “a man of color”. 😂 I’m a “white” Italian-American and I’m darker-complexed than he. Sadly, Leguizamo is just a white-hating individual.
Leguizamo is just prejudiced against white people.
"We were PMS'ing at the same time"....!!!!!! Im dead😄😂😄😂💀💀lmfao
I came to the comments, wasn't dissapointing
John is a critically underrated actor
Totally agree! Love him!
IDk every movie I've seen him in he was the worst element, hands down.
@@Axolotl_Mischief you have not seen To Wong Foo.
@@Axolotl_Mischief then why would you watch this interview.? That was a rhetorical question, I don't answer to trolls.
He also doesn’t like white people even though he’s looks whiter than me. Lol.
I saw John Leguizamo at a Broadway show in NY city. John has an amazing talent for comedy and dance, at the end of the show at a packed theater he received a long, long standing ovation, everyone was clapping, and cheering, what an amazing performance for a stand up comedian.
Thanks for sharing that. I love this dude, and like him to get his due praise lol
I think he was always more of a performance artist than just a stand-up. Don't get me wrong, I love stand-up, I've actually done it and love and appreciate it as an art form. But Leguizamo just brings so much more to the table, or rather the stage, than most stand-ups do; he doesn't just do bits, he creates characters.
Yeah I saw the same one on hbo
to me john leguizamo seems like a down to earth kind of guy. you can relate to him. He's being himself. He's for real. I respect him for that and don't look down upon him. Becauae we all have gone thru things in life both good and bad. Because no one is perfect. We live and learn. Hopefully thru those experiences we can better ourselves.. 🤔
For what? We all DIE...except for ME. AWOOOOOOoooooooo!!!!
I like how the interviewer said "Thats racist?"
And John was like "Oh yeah nah, I called him names too." Lol
I sincerely appreciate that attitude of "hey, we were in a fight, we were trying to upset each other, that's just what you do. Then you calm down and you get over it, it didn't mean anything."
@@jameshill2450I agree.
I am always surprised Leguizamo never had a bigger career. He was pretty much everywhere working for huge directors but the roles didn’t always seem to match Johns talent. I always felt like he deserved way more. He should have had Antonio Banderas’ career
The Pest almost killed his career!!!
WHO SAID THAT LEGUIZAMO NEVER HAD A BIGGER CARRER.REMEMBER IS WHITE HOLLYWOOD NOT BLACK HOLLYWOOD OR LATINOS HOLLYWOOD.OF COURSE HE DOESNT GOT AN EXTENDED CARRER YOU DUMB. GIVE THANKS OF RACISM ON YOURE COUNTRY AMERICA.HELLO ITS OBVIOUS.....WHITE PEOPLE HAVES MORE PREVELIDGE IN MOVIE ROLES 🎥. THAN BLACK'S N LATINS .EVERYBODY KNOWS THAT.MS HONEY🍯.EVERYBODY IN THE WORLD KNOWS YOURE RACISM IN YOUR AMERICA 🇺🇸
@@ivantorres9854 Majority of folks that run Hollywood are Latinos and sadly they are more than willing to uphold White Supremacy.
I think his lack of filter tends to reduce interest in him. If he's the kind of guy who tells stories out of school, respectfully or otherwise, people might not want him around lest he mention things that other people don't want getting out. if he was in a Kevin Spacey movie, guaranteed he would've aired that dirty laundry from a telephone pole.
He's too stupid. He was critical of Franco playing Fidel Castro. That tells me Leguizamo is an idiot. Franco is a perfect fit to olay Castro. Similar roots as Castro. Castro being of Gallego background and Franci being of Portugués background. Basically same roots from Europe and Leguizamo was an idiot about it.
Leguizamo is one of my favorite actor, no matter what ... both Swayze and Legizamo are awesome!!!
Lmao that explains why they're arguments in the movie felt so real .
They are arguments?
Is second grade English THAT fucking difficult to grasp, people???
IT'S THEIR. For fucks sake, people are retarded.
Right! 😅
😆 🤣 😂 😹THAT SCENE WAS SOMETHING ELSE.
exactly what I thought haha
Since I was a teenager, I've had the most insatiable celebrity crush on John Leguizamo. My friends thought I was nuts! But between the talent, his accent, his humour and his rawness.... yum!
His ability to look like a better woman then you...
@@anthonywyattStylist Awww. Well I mean, whatever floats your boat, bud. It's also "than". And finally, I hope you sit with yourself and really figure out what hurts inside you that you would leave a comment like this. Hugs.
Same here.
Not all of us are in agreement with the ass known as AJ Wyatt. Nina, you have a beautiful name, and you are a very attractive and seem like a down to earth easy to talk to person. Hope you stay safe...... (-:
i did too lol he was incredible in romeo and juliet
Patrick Was Nice To Everyone. We Will Miss Him Everyday.
So the actors got along like the characters they portrayed on the movie
Seems like you’re the wisest person on this thread lol Fallen Angel lol
Fénix so you’re saying heath ledger really killed like the joker?
Patrick Swayze was formally trained as a dancer. Very regimented very disciplined youth. Very, very. I wonder if that might have contributed.
Lucky for Patrick that his mom Patsy taught dance and had her own dance studio. One of her students turned out to be Patrick's future wife, Lisa Niemi. His father, I guess, had difficulty resolving that one of his sons was a ballet dancer. Then, Patrick blew out his knee playing football and that ruined that career possibility and made dancing all the more difficult. Ever notice how Patrick kinda limps in whatever movie he's in? That's why.
RIP Dear Patrick! I miss your smile and abundant talent. 🙏😭
@@nancydemoss608 Ms Vida works out... A LOT.
"we were so in to character we started pmsing at the same time"
f u c k i n g LOL
underrated comedian
I like this guy. He's not afraid to express an honest opinion instead of buying to the hollywood fakery of saying everyone is 'amazing', and rolls with the -isms instead of being pseudo offended.
John is the most honest actor out there...no filter whatsoever. I love it
Always thought Leguizamo was an under-rated actor. He is awesome in Summer Of Sam & yeah he is the best thing about 1997's Spawn
Empire is a good movie too. It's on Tubi if you haven't seen it.
and a weird Luigi 💚
I can’t forget his character as the cousin Capulet in Romeo and Juliet. But everytime I hear his voice I still see Sid the sloth in IceAge movie
Molan rouge he was in too
I actually hear Goon from Titan AE
He played Tybalt, a Capulet.
Lol. I'd actually like to see that scene of them thugging it out dressed in drag, so funny!
I'd have been living for the moment.
I would’ve died laughing watching this 😂
I don't know why you're still hating on a guy that admitted his faults. Even Leguizamo has let it go and is just stating a factual funny story
the host tried to fish bait the racist card but John simply ignore it. Lol!
It was quite nasty of him to try to smear a dead man in that way. Patrick Swayze was definitely not like that as he campaigned HARD to have Whoopi Goldberg in Ghost, even when the studio didn't want her, and he even said he would walk unless they offered the part to her. Good on John for not letting him go there.
@@mercurydude Telling a story about his experience is not "smearing"...
@@mercurialpierrot7073 I was talking about the host, not John. The host was trying to start some drama by putting that spin on it.
Well John said he was calling Patrick racist names too. That is why it wasn't racist and John admitted his words too.
@@mercurialpierrot7073 she ment the interviewer tried to smear
I heard about this. Patrick Swayze had a problem with John Leguizamo adlibbing too much.
Well im guessing that since Patrick was pretty much at his prime at that time, he might have been a little too full of himself and John was basically an unknown. Trouble is, John was amazing in that movie and stole the show. THATS how talented he is.
james friel Really? I thought Wesley Snipes stole the show. Either way all three were fantastic!
Lipsmacker6 yea it was, it was such a little known movie back then when i watched it I was "mmm has patrick and wesley in it? i haven't even heard of this movie" and it was amazing and the fact these actors went off the grid pretty much in their popularity phase and did this movie out of left field just attests to their acting ability. I still remember being angry during the opening sequence when Patrick was dolled up and going "it should be illegal that he looks that good as a woman! I hate that guy LOL!
+Lipsmacker6 Nah, i thought Patrick and Wesley were serviceable, but Liguizamo? he WAS CHI CHI, he's KNOWN a Chi Chi his entire life .
It's interesting though, Patrick Swayze and Wesley Snipes are beautiful gorgeous men, but they make horrendous looking women
and Liguizamo is an Alright looking guy but makes a beautiful women.
submissivelover Lol, yes Chi Chi was the prettiest of all 3. When I first watched this film I was a teenager and felt like Chi Chi stole the show. Then I watched it again a few months back and felt that Wesley Snipes stole the show. Either way to each their own. They all did a great job. This move and Flawless are 2 of my favorite movies.
Swayze was a decent guy, and a creative individual, and it sounds like it was a heat of the moment thing between two actors. Leguizamo can relate to that. However John is pretty accurate when it comes to describing Seagal's temperament in another video.
@g laferia52 That what he told you?
They had different acting methods. Swayze regimented with script, John preferring to adlib, and it created tension. It probably threw Swayze off.
Im glad that it sounds like they all took that movie Quite seriously & not as a joke; Trixie Mattel really is right in re-underscoring how brilliant it truly was & still is.
Patrick would have ironed him out, no question. Make NO mistake. Swayze was HARD. Boy studied ballet in Texas!! I'll say that again. A boy. Studying Ballet. In Texas! He learned how to fight FAST!
Don't underestimate a Latino from NYC. They fight dirty and street style. Leguizamo is half Colombian!
Lmao you definitely assumed all that from road house. When a catered actor with assistants wiping his ass at every non on screen moment gets into a real fight , he would be made into a county bitch.
It's crazy cause all 3 of them are Leo's😂😂 that would been a fight there😂😂😂
🤣🤣🤣 That definitely adds extra flavor to their interactions and acting!
He's actually a Cusp a Cancer and Leo so it's more difficult to deal with 😂
When you're a creative and you care about your craft and you need to collaborate and compromise with others who also care then there's always going to be a level of tension which sometimes boils over. Nothing wrong with it, just two actors who gave a shit and wanted that project to be the best it could be.
Wowww this is legendary 😂🤣😃 r.i.p Patrick Swayze🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
****WATCH AS JOHN TRIES TO HOLD BACK HIS LAUGHTER AT THE **1:08** MARK IN THIS VIDEO AS THE HOST LEANS FORWARD AND "FARTS". LMAO :) ****
theresa bullock i caught that too
Lmao 😂
The first time I saw this move, it had been turned on in the middle, so my two roommates and I didnt know what the movie was about or who was starring in it. The best part was when one of my friends made the comment 'Man, that Mexican chick is HOT!!'
I got called so many names in the military and I'm Latino. I responded with similar ignorant insults. But we would give our lives for each other. Explain that.
Brothers and sisters (in arms) fight!!!
I love how he didn’t play the victim and claim Patrick was a racist because he called him those names. There’s a man who gets it.
Exactly. Swing on swing. They were both trying to get under each other's skin. They did. And from what John says, it was a moment and it's over.
@@adhoc7035 Agree 100%. I will say what I found a little irritating is that the host was telling John it was a racist comment Patrick made and I was thinking "seriously, dude is hispanic, I'm pretty sure he knows what is racist, he doesn't need you telling him that." And clearly John Leguizamo didn't take the bate and he was like "we were both calling each other names and laughed it off. Much respect to John and I personally have always liked him as an actor.
I love him! I love chi chi rodriguez! lol
I was so glad when I found out he voiced Bruno from Encanto, its always a joy to see him work
honestly, though, the best actors are difficult to get along with. There were many stars who were in movies with Patrick that didn't get along with him.
I watched the movie just because John was in it
Rip 🪦 Patrick Swayze
John...You need your Princess Points taken away!
I wanted to agree because he's talking confrontations with the dead. But, he's not painting too much of a narrative. He's stating conflict, duration, and post-conflict factual reactions. That's legit, and I respect him standing up for what the moment was. It was between them and their day at work. The host tried some stupid attempt to make something more of it, and John shut it down. I respect John for that. Princess points remains same.
I loooved you in THE PEST Sr.
It would have been a cat fight!
Hair pulling and scratching! LOL!
Pulling hair would've resulted in pulling off wigs!! 😂
Patrick’s sister committed suicide during the time of filming.
Johnny Utah from what?
Omg. How horrible. When I went through that with my brother, no one wanted to be around me. I was horrible but it’s just a reminder that we never know what someone is feeling on the inside and if we did it would change how we reacted. So let’s try to remember that and be the best person we can be regardless of the other person’s choose is.
Say what? But how ghastly!
Swayze would've cleaned your clock
Probably
The other guy is half Puerto Rican and Colombian growing up in NYC streets. He can fight dirty. Don't underestimate him. If it was Jackie Chan, Patrick wouldn't stand a chance and he's a petite guy.
Lmao you definitely assumed all that from road house. When a catered actor with assistants wiping his ass at every non on screen moment gets into a real fight , he would be made into a county bitch.
He shouldn’t be trashing a dead person who isn’t here to defend himself. There’s always two sides….
It’s not that serious. The conflict was because of their different acting methods, and Patrick had already spoken about incidents while he was alive!
He literally said in this video that Patrick mentioned it in his book with his perspective. There’s nothing to defend. lol
John is a cool dude.
John legizano é maravilhoso
Patrick Swayze was also a legit martial artist and would have destroyed John Leguizamo lol.
finally a funny man who can admit he used racial slurs as well. bravo. this guy is one funny dude.
@Jeff Breckner As you deserve to be. Take your judgement and shove it.
@jeffbreckner469too late for that, don’t you think? John has already made his money from his career. He doesn’t have to act anymore if he chooses. And as he’s stated, Patrick said some racist things too.. dead or not, carry the same energy! Period!
Lmao at Wesley egging them on.
So jealous he had to get in on it.
Loooove ❤❤❤❤
I love John Leguizamo because he's real and he is funny as hell. His one man stand up show Freak is a must watch. 🙌 I can't believe he almost fought Patrick Swayze whilst in drag😂😂😂😂😂
Many actors have reputations of being difficult or intense to work with....Mel Gibson, Wesley Snipes, Steven Seagal, Tom Arnold, the list goes on and on.
+Mike Fu Sadly only the first one on the list had any talent, and he pretty much broke down mentally.
Mel Gibson doesn't have a reputation for bring difficult to work with, it's the opposite actually
Barbara Streisand...
@@nenabunena No, he's just a racist prick.
Katherine Heigl is also known to be very difficult to work with.
😂That was so funny!!! But I was like yeah that was racist, hold up, wait a minute! I never even heard of that term before, that has to be old. 😂 Wow I can't imagine my beloved Patrick Swayze saying that, but I could tell by his character in that movie that he was serious about that role even if it was silly. I love my John!!! Patrick's eyes were gorgeous but, they probably argued about John being the cutest and most natural looking female of them all. 😂
Why can't you imagine Patrick saying that? He's human like everybody else. He was not some God sitting on a pedestal.
My favorite movie
Just saw another clip from 2008 of Leguizamo telling the story about Steven Segal "taekwondoing" him on the set of Executive Decision. I think ol John has that face and attitude that instigates or they doing some method improv shit on set lol
Ahhhhh.... Back in the day when people weren't so quick to hate and cancel. Good times.
The people that invented cancel culture are the ones that complain about it now, and they’d hate the theme of the movie- drag, queerness - and wanting it banned
I was crazy for Swayze!
Wesley Snipes hahahahahahhahahahahahahhahaha
I'm proud of his talents I think he got Pilipino blood like JoKoy
I love this movie and the image of those two fronting up to each other off camera dressed in drag has made me love it even more.
haha i hope he called her a washed out pasty whatever like chi chi did in to wong foo lol
pathetic how the interviewer called patrick racist but laughed with john when bith patrick and john were calling each other racial names. and the interviewer did it so quickly. THAT is racist of the interviewer.
John showed class by quickly pointing out they he too used racial slurs in the heat of things.
Aww poor you
its only racist when white people say it
I also thought it was disrespectful for the inteviewer to laugh at the late Patrick Swayzes's expenses without ever being able to get Patricks full rebuttle to Jhons story. I have also heard John Leguizamo has had problems on other sets with other actors. John has told the story of how he had a physical altercation with Steven Segal on a set, so maybe there are some issues with John. I don't know, but usually, where theres smoke theres fire.
Jason Nunya well its worse when its that way....both bad but one is worse
Didn't John Leguizamo have beef with Steven Segal too?
Segal is a known asshole.
And Al Pacino and Johnny Depp.. makes you wonder.
was just thinking that lol , now we know who the real dick is.
He was the star and had the career and you and Wesley didn't.....
Wow -through the 58 years as a big white guy who always had friends of every persuasion I could always sense and see -that racism /antisemitism/anti feminism /homophobia against people affected their wellbeing . One lesson I've learned was that their fortitude and knowledge of themselves having to endure this systemic and cultural vise on their essence , on their wellbeing and witnessing it their families wellbeing -has increased sickness and shortened life -unequivocally. As long as people like John continue the good fight more and more will be unaffected and hopefully their well being much improved . Eventually this malfeasance will be diminished enough that we all can live unencumbered by it .
Imagine them fighting in drag 🤔 I don't care there would be no winners in that one
I read Patricks book.
I know it’s a weird choice but I saw him for the first time in the Suoer Mario Bros. movie when I was a teenager and developed a huge crush on him. The next time I saw him was in To Wong Foo then Executive Decision. Talk about a whiplash!
I used to hate this guy...until Wong Foo...but honestly Swayze would have kicked his ass lol
Anybody else hear that fart at 1:10? 😂😂😂
Patrick would have crushed him.....Roadhouse anyone? Lol
Patrick swayze was going thru something, he was sick and he didn't tell no one he had pancreatic cancer🥺😢😢😔😔
He basically just plays himself in films. Seems like he gets into a lot of fights with other actors as well. Swayze, Seagal, Russell...etc. I'm not a hater. But I'm not exactly a fan either. Seems like one of those guys who never know when or how to stop playing around.
@Jeremy Dale same with Bill Murray. Everybody who’s ever worked with him had said he’s a asshole. Chevy Chase, Richard Dreyfuss, Lucy Lu, even his own friend Harold Ramus said that.
You'll never know how right you are.
"to wong foo"
lol
I think the Patrick was on big heavy medication for his health problem ,the may change anyone mood swings ..
J.D. Contreras He was an alcoholic and short temper. He even admitted that himself. His own wife left him at some point but she came back. I think the bullying he suffer when he was young plus the harsh discipline of his mother affected him. He had money but he didn't seem to be happy person. Very sad!. R.I.P.
His wife never left him.
@@quentindugger5389 She didn't leave Patrick but in the book they wrote together, written during his fight with pancreatic cancer, they both state that she was ready to "check out" of the marriage - apparently due to frequent arguments although exactly what they were about isn't gone into in the book - and that it was through the intervention of a psychic recommended by fellow dancer George De La Penafrom (who starred with Lisa and Patrick in their wonderful 2003 film "One Last Dance") who came to their Ranch and talked to them that they realised Lisa was already "checked out of" the marriage, and they committed to making changes to stay together.

Is there anyone he hasn't had a fight with? They must have made two different sets for John wick to keep him safe
The problem was all three of them were Leos
Good a Scorpio wasn't there Lol
in patrick Swayze autobiography he talks about what an egotistical arsehole he became as his stardom grew. patrick also admits to being drunk and obnoxious and if you read his book that whole nice guy image that was portrayed in the media is bullshit i went from being an admirer to not liking him at all. patrick was not great actor that's for sure he was very 1 dimensional every now and then he did something a little different like too wong fu. he was a great dancer and really if the truth be told he should have stuck with that. john on the otherhand is an exceptionally talented man his roles are wide and varied. he does stand up he writes and directs he is as comfortable on stage in plays as he is on screen. he has spunk and attitude he knows what he wants he doesnt take shit. if patrick swayze was ugly do you think he would have gone as far as he did ? i think we all know the answer to that !
I like them both, but I agree that John definitely has a wider range of acting talent than Patrick.
Ya tell the truth you changed lines and he didn't like it but of course this guy calls everything racist
Love Jon lol
My question is why was Wesley so willing to secretly take sides with John. Did he really dislike Patrick, or was there something going on that we are not hearing about
I thing it really was just him stirring the pot, some pple are like that they like to cause trouble....
Swayze had more going on the Wesley. Competition made Wesley stick himself in the other's business.
I've never heard the slur "cracker" applied to a Texan!
the interviewer is really trying to lead john in a direction here
So hard! Tried to initiate some shit against Swayze over John's story. John wasn't having it. Looked pretty put-out and offended by the host. Fuck that guy. Cheers to John.
Wtf really, RIP Patrick....I swore hes only been dead a few yrs. This is some Mandela effect or im getting senile 😅
First a fight with Seagal now Swayze too lol. Who's next Stallone?

He look like chilino Sanchez lol
I don't think John can fight with Anyone to be honest. Stick with Comedy bro.
hahaha see this is why they chose wesley, patrick, and john to star in wong foo cuz they were the most masculine actors at the time
