I'm actually impressed at how small the control-inputs are in relation to what and how fast the aircraft reacts. Pllus, a vid of both the AV-8B, one of my favorite aircraft, and a winter-clad Norway? Pure win. Real nice flying, too.
You got me confused for a minute, "Shakespear". Your call sign made my brain jump to the conclusion that you are a UK RAF or naval pilot and that I was watching a legacy video from back in the day. Then I got a glimpse of your patch. USMC Bulldogs are over to train and do "NATO doing NATO things" up here North 👍(spinning up for "Joint Viking 25"?) Have a blast, my friend, and thanks for the privilege of riding along with you. Semper Fidelis.
Planning and executing an intricate flight path like that in a foreign country where it is only a map to you, and not a place you know from previous experience must require some extra bandwith compared to flying where you know the terrain like the pocket of your pants. Fighter jets are so graceful and elegant marvels of engineering. They are one of the most beautiful things I know, but at the same time I somehow wish they didn't exist. I love and hate them at the same time. I love their capabilities, but hate their purpose. Kind of like our housecat, so graceful elegant cute and cuddly. It's easy to forget what a vicious predator he is until he brings home one kill after another.
AI as well. I was fooled yesterday. Not because I believed in what I saw because it was over the top but I couldn't detect the fake with my bare eyes. It is a short of a monsterous, I really mean monsterous, octopussy on deck of a boat surrounded by fishermen. The fishermen are so close to the octopussy they're litterally picking on it. The giant octopussy is at least 5 times bigger than a man

@@CallsignShakespeare Great stuff anyways - beautiful footage. Thanks for sharing, and thanks for leaving the audio in instead of replacing it with growl.
And that's "Low level" ? Well, with my anxiety for high altitudes, I`m glad I ended up in the helos ( H-125 ) and never need to get above those 200 ft 🤪
Beware! Out of my own experience I know it is very difficult to estimate the flight height over a snowed glacier. Wenn a group of 4 mountaineers passed by under the wing, I knew that I was flying too low.
Beautiful, how is your life as a jet pilot? I've always said, jet pilots are like top elite humans for me, jets are the most advanced piece of technology and humans driving them are experiencing the future of humanity, the pinnacle of our evolution. Lovely! Being in that situation is crazy, you are part of the small percent of people that get to drive combat jets, does it feel good? :)
Very nice!
Enjoy the clear scenery. You were lucky with the weather.
Also great to see Harriers flying, still :)

Nice to see you flying around where i live:) Really cool seeing you fly over the roads Ive driven so many times! Great flying and thanks for sharing🤩
@@theoeilertsen7516 the coolest flights I’ve ever done were in Norway.
@@CallsignShakespeare I can only imagine. Apart from some short helicopter transports during my time in the army north of Narvik:)
I love the Harrier. Agility, scootability, visibility, and a tiny bird, a pilot's delight, it is a timeless classic.

If you get a faster computer you can use the mirrors! ;) Beautiful scenery, thanks for sharing.

beautiful scenery, love the engine noises
would be a lot cooler if the camera followed the jet movement tho
I keep expecting the FPS to drop over forests. I played too much Falcon.
Cool feeling when you got the camera perfectly centered.
These flight simulators are getting so realistic!

Yeah, specially without a JHMCS
What camera did you use for this?
GoPro Max
Good stuff dude
Sim? 🤔😲
Sim? You can literally see the pilots hands and fingers working the throttle and stick!

It was actually back in 2022, I just recently found the SD card again.

Norway is possible the best place to fly low-level in Europe.
